    Such a fine machine...
  2. Well, the 7 was the worst by far (that redesign was a true crime). The 5 suffered a bit less, and the 3 the least of all, but all would have been better had Bangle chosen another industry to victimize with his "design sense".
  3. It's a good thing he wandered out when he did, I was about to let Arkus out.
  4. ...a baby fox that is. The thing just wandered across the lane as I was heading home. I stopped the Tahoe and got out to check it out and the little tyke ran right up to me and followed me around. I called the other folks on the property and they all came to see. Finally, my employers' son-in-law just picked him up, and then handed him to his wife. She tucked him inside of her vest and he immediately went to sleep. Interesting end to the day.
  5. Really? I still see bangled design as the ruin of BMW (and other cars).
  6. Still hate it, but I love the Challenger.
  7. Yes they are! Nice spot, BV.
  8. Just about every brand has managed to built something I'd want somewhere along the line, except for Toyota. If every last one were to be crushed, I wouldn't miss any of them.
  9. Now there's an endorsement! Toyota: Official truck of illiterate fanatics worldwide. Rip-off design, miniscule sales, forgetable performance...
  10. I'll give you the rally history on the original Celica, and that the Hilux was a tough little truck. The rest gets tossed in the circular file. EDIT: Both the Celica and Hilux were terrible rust-buckets.
  11. Not impressed by any of the three.
  12. Grrrrrr...
  13. Look at their product from the sixties to the early nineties... See above recall numbers.
  14. I think my position has some real backing here.
  15. Toyota = junk Always has, always will.
  16. A pristine early Baracuda in red, out for a saturday cruise.
  17. I can't think of a single example. Once formed, my opinion of a car tends to remain the same.
  18. As I recall, there were two grades of cloth seat back then. I think you had to order the "Custom Cloth" to get the comfy seats. The "ROPOS" is an '89, but it has a much flatter cushion and fabric like burlap - not the same at all.
  19. That works!
  20. So, what were the worst seats you have experienced in a car you've owned or driven regularly? For me it was the painful seats in an '85 Mercedes Benz 300TD wagon. It was like sitting on a concrete block.
  21. The one I drove had a simple, yet attractive and interesting, interior made of high quality materials with an innovative design. I have also driven an original - pure penalty box.
  22. They are, at least in Cooper S trim. The Mini was always FWD, so no nameplate crime has taken place. That may be part of why I think they are ok.
  23. UGH! That's just criminal.
  24. Here's a few: The Sky and Solstice: I'm not into tiny cars, but these two (especially the Solstice coupe) make me want to break my own rules. The HHR: As you all know, I hate FWD. But, the HHR pulls-off a unique style that mitigates the drive wheel flaw. The Mini: see above. The Volt: I really admire GM for having the balls to go there.
