  1. Rt 6 in PA is worth the effort.
  2. I like emblems generally, as long as they are well done. Far too many have been far too crappy for far too long. I think it shows a lack of pride in the product.
  3. Not really, it's just that the idea of a small, light, inexpensive RWD V8 musclecar appeals to me generally. Wagon/Camino variants would just be icing on a cake I already like.
  4. The "buts" are numerous. - As you say, it would compete with Camaro to a point. - It would be panned in the press for being on an antiquated chassis. - It would be tough to make a business case for. - It may impact GM's CAFE numbers negatively. ...and so on. Personally, I like the idea.
  5. It would work just fine, and be inexpensive to do. But...
  6. Since some of you have seen my barn, I think I'll keep my mouth shut...
  7. First car I ever drove.
  8. My neighbor just took his Ford GT out for a blast around the neighborhood - Man! does that thing sound fantastic!
  9. Might be interesting, given all of the changes.
  10. I love stuff like this.
  11. This is just another stupid idea bound for failure. Our '38 Dodge sedan has a Ram hood ornament. Mr. Fiat needs to learn a bit more about his recent purchase.
  12. 50s MG in red, top down and rolling at a good clip - looked primo.
  13. Hate to say this, but I really doubt it Walt. A 4x8 sheet just fits between the wheelwells of a Silverado, and I'm betting the Envoy is much narrower. Can't say for sure, but I'll put my money on no. Good luck in your search.
  14. Thanks for the update, and congrats. Don't forget that COTM thing...
  15. Traumatic brain injury? Had to be.
  16. Happy Birthday, Mr. Blu! And to you too, Pipius.
  17. Impossible question. I'd need much more narrow parameters to give a meaningful response.
  18. Amazing collection! Some of those would be very pricey if sold individually.
  19. Firstly, I'm glad that you concede the point of the second gens as there are too many differences to list there. I'll grant you that mechanically, the third and fourth gens became ever closer over the years. However, many differences (and some unique models) still differentiated the two cars quite a bit. From the extremes of the '89 TTA and the 91/92 Firehawks, to the very different sheetmetal and interiors, to the differenet levels of standard equiptment the cars were actually quite well differentiated. Generally, more equiptment came standard on a Firebird than a similar Camaro. Firebird also had more unique option packages (WS6, Firehawk, etc.) than the same year Camaro. I'll grant that many of the differences were small, and that the cars were always closely related. But they were never clones or simple badge jobs.
  20. I agree with much of this, so I won't argue over the finer points except in one area. What you say about second, third, and fourth gen Firebirds is not entirely true - sometiimes dramatically so. If you think about it, I'm sure you could name the same reasons I am thinking of.
  21. Heard about it today - too late, but I'll check for a re-run. I saw and enjoyed what the show did for Camaro, 911, and Lambo.
  22. Here's an Av: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/1617116370.html I saw a few '99ish ones for under 5k. There are quite a few high mile cheapies around post carb.
  23. This one is way too cheap (scam alert), but who knows? http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/ctd/1659285508.html
  24. I'll take a look around. What are your cut-offs for mileage and age?
