  1. The worst example I ever saw was this jackass that left his Countach running with the gull-wing door open in the middle of a travel lane on a busy street while he ran about 120' across another road and went into a business. I wanted to steal it just to make him walk.
  2. I'm not talking about your Prizm or a Cobalt, more like a Smart and its ilk.
  3. All of the little penalty boxes currently on the road are Urban. They'd be scary on an interstate, and all but useless on a gravel road. Any fullsize pickup would be the opposite side of the coin - though it has its uses in an urban environment.
  4. It has happened to me now and then. This morning at the Wawa, some clown left his brand new 911 Turbo idling in the parking lot...

Yes and no. I can muster "clinical interest" in this year's offerings - but I find nothing the least bit exciting. I miss being able to say "wow" and mean it.

Wrong! I limited the comment to my own impresssion in the first post. Therefore, there is no "maybe".

    No maybe about it.

...is really boring me this year. Still waiting for some "wow!".
  9. I have to agree that this design is more cohesive than Terrain's.
  10. All too often that which is self-evident takes generations of arguing and political wrangling to actually be adopted. Opposition to this, at its core, is unsupportable - and its opponents are simply afraid to admit that they know it. So many of our long-standing debates have been this way - we waste so much time protecting what we know to be wrong it is a wonder that we make any progress at all. We have a long history of pissing into the wind.
  11. Welcome back!
  12. Nicely written. Good flow and sense of pace with details that make it accessible as "real". Keep going, this is a fine start.
  13. Roof height was but a minor detail in the face of all that went wrong when the G6 went from concept to production. It was a disaster that led directly to the loss of Pontiac.
  14. What I get from this thread is the following: - Ole Dan has a nasty case of poison pen. - GMC still has work to do to solidify its indentity. Those are the basics. I have long thought, and still believe, that GMC is in greater need of brand identity and differentiation relative to Chevrolet than any other GM brand (including Pontiac and Saturn). They have shown the way in the past now and then, but a concerted effort has never materialized. Some things just need to be the exclusive province of GMC - otherwise it will never happen. I have some ideas for that...
  15. Sad state of affairs. Globalism just sucks.
  16. Congratulations and all the best to both of you.
  17. That would be a mistaken assumption, the Volt's ICE runs at its peak efficiency at all times. The constant RPMs and load make that possible.
  18. Nah. The production car looked nothing like the concept, and lacked the hardware as well. The production car was a vast letdown.
  19. Good news!
  20. On the G6, the concept pointed the way but GM didn't follow. Flubbed opportunity.
  21. Absolutely! Formula FTW! Good luck with it WK.
  22. I don't care for the Terrain, but this guy is over the edge.
  23. The answer might be in your owner's manual.
