  1. Yeah...
  2. Apple isn't paying-off a toxic legacy.
  3. Saving Buick and/or Pontiac as niche brands makes good sense simply for sake of leaving GM's options open after the restructuring. They will need all of the exisiting customers they can keep. In fact, It would make sense to me to plan for both brands to be niche for a while at least. Do a few cars, do them extremely well, and do them true to the two brands. A few years of that, and both brands will have huge value as well as potential.
  4. Agreed, DF. This was the outcome I was hoping for. Dead pirates are the best kind.
  5. Grrrr... People are such assholes. Sorry to hear this.
  6. 'bout time they noticed.
  7. Anyone know who is creating the ads?
  8. Perhaps. But I see it as one of the weaker Japanese brands these days, and Honda's designs seem a bit off the rails lately. I wouldn't be too surprised to see some thinning in the Japanese herd before this is all over. Maybe Acura, maybe someone else. But it wouldn't surprise me.
  9. Closing either plant would be short-sighted and stupid.
  10. This is starting to get old... Just sayin'...
  11. Just took another look at the results, only Mitsubishi, Mercedes, and Buick, have no votes at all. Interesting.
  12. I have a long slog ahead of me, but I intend to stay there once I achieve the goal.
  13. Clearly, killing Pontiac is detrimental to GM. So simple.
  14. That's why their "Rally" ad campaign seems so vital to me. I think those ads nail the emotion required to cheer for the underdog against tough odds. They need to triple the ad budget. Perception is everything afterall. Especially for GM, and especially now.
  15. Massive advertising of the sort they are doing now must be maintained. This is public rehab for GM.
  16. Not a plus. As damaged as the name is, remaining GM would be better.
  17. I'm beginning to wonder if Acura will survive this recession.
  18. I'm worried that this is true. I do like the new assertiveness in their current ad campaign though, I just hope it isn't too late. The presentation is very strong.
  19. And some people fail to realize that it does matter.
  20. VW Phaeton version 2.0
  21. What makes it even more funny is the "insurance" banner behind the carnage.
  22. The masses follow a lame mentality. It disgusts me.
