  1. So give us the story on the Cutlass, what was the problem/solution. ... and do us all a favor and take that hideous thing out of your sig! :AH-HA_wink:
  2. Snow changing to rain, then windy and colder after.
  3. You'll never regret it if you do the heated floor - no more cold ,damp, concrete. Most systems run on what is essentially a hot water heater. Probably all the heat you'll ever need down there.
  4. Ouch! Sorry to see this. And a hit-and-run too! Bastard! I hope they catch 'em.
  5. Sounds like heaven to me. If you can swing it, do radiant heat in the floor and have the floor epoxy painted.
  6. Not that it matters, but FE2 sounds like an Olds option code.
  7. The V6 and V8 autos are knee-jerk shoe-ins, the manuals have to show a reasonable potential take rate to make the cut. This will hold true for all G8 variants, though some may only get one engine/trans choice initially. You guys know what I'll be holding out for. :AH-HA_wink:
  8. In the text at the link, they say it can be operated manually. Interesting.
  9. There is a shot of one of the full-cammo mules on the road that clearly shows that the lines running from the quarter to the front of the door are still present ( perhaps slightly less pronounced). Those lines really can't be seen in this cruddy pic, and that makes the quarter and door look so plain. No fear, the aggressive lines are still there.
  10. If I read this right, it's just a "U"-joint we are talking about here, a part that should never have problems when a vehicle is new. Don't forget the more serious torque converter issue - that one actually has something to do with the transmission. A u-joint is not part of a trans., but is a critical driveline component. If this were to fail at even low speeds, the potential exists that the truck could flip when the driveshaft drops to the road surface and digs in. It can essentially "pole vault" the truck into the air. Not good, Toyota. I hope every one of these trucks gets in for service before something nasty happens.
  11. Oh boy.
  12. Entirely possible. The distinction I'm making is that the Subs used a separate HVAC unit for the rear of the (very large) vehicle interior. The other stuff is just vents and vac doors. My Silverado has manual dual zone and offered electronic dual zone as an option - I never use it.
  13. Far,far, better than the current truck, it reminds me of the '94 style with updating. It's a clean look all over which is a nice departure from the current cartoonish look. Very nice. I would do something about that grille though...
  14. The only way I'll ever have Nav is if I'm forced to get it in order to get something else that I actually want. I wouldn't pay $200 for it, let alone $2000. Most of the dual zone systems are left/right, not front/rear. The onlty "real" one I can think of is the front and rear A/C units in Suburbans - the rest are fluff.
  15. I knew I wasn't crazy, read this: http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=563229
  16. I'm not stepping fully into this hornet's nest, but... Isn't it common knowledge among those who like these gadgets (you know I don't care) that if you want a Nav system you are better off buying aftermarket ? That OEM systems are inferior and prone to becoming obsolete? I can't say I really give a rat's ass, but I recall seeing that aspect of the discussion before. As to the armrest: BFD As to the dual zone: those are just illusion anyway.
  17. Minus the second rear axle, and you might be right!
  18. Nice job, Z. Looks like it's all business. BTW: how's thw Vette project coming?
  19. I think that we will do something to prevent much more suffering. Certainly prior to the contract expiring. Just what that will be hasn't been decided yet.
  20. :rotflmao: We'd never get it.
  21. Much appreciated, but we have to examine the options. The tough part is that straight answers are something dreamhost is incapable of. And they cannot be trusted.
  22. California, where else?
  23. Our weather has been really odd. We have been going through widely fluctuating temps, crazy wind, snow, sleet, and rain for most of the month. The only constants have been grey skies and wet. It got really cold for this time of year for a few days, and then ran back up to above normal. Right now, it is raining and I can see it freezing on my power lines. Yuck.
