  1. Note to self: install quality aftermarket speedometer in Project Camino. :AH-HA_wink:
  2. I remember that truck! Remember my comment after I saw it?
  3. I don't... think so...
  4. This conversion was just done to a 2002 Firehawk recently. The car should be on one of the Pontiac enthusiast mags very soon. I like.
  5. Self-righteous, short-sighted, self-important, clueless asswipe!
  6. There's been more progress, but I'm behind in taking pics so I'll wait to report on that 'til I get the pics.
  7. Well, the wagon will be around until someone wants it more than I do. :AH-HA_wink: I like to do nice work and find it hard to say "good enough" when I do a car. I may use the current Camino wheels on the wagon after I have the gold centers blasted and re-painted black. I think that that should look good on a silver car. The rally wheels may just get stashed away.
  8. The HDs need to keep the exclusivity they now have with the Allison trans. On that basis alone, this seems a bad idea to me.

    535i BMW

I'm still in mourning for BMW's pre-bangled designs. They made the fatal error of messing with perfection - and I hate them for it.
  10. Scary stuff. It does sound like the rubber brake hose gave up.
  11. This is so cool, I hope you can give us a few "reports from the road". Hope to see you somewhere along the line too.
  12. The sad thing is, though we may have the cars here to get the job done, finding enough road has become difficult. I really wish I could afford a membership at this new club which is building a major roadcourse in the Poconos. I'd love to get a chance to find the limits of my cars without the worry of encountering some soccer-mom in a minivan on a cell phone. The right thing to do is to take it to the track- we all know it . Hopefully, I'll find an affordable way to do that someday soon. I can enjoy going to the drags, but I want to drive on a roadcourse.
  13. Pinned and broke the speedometer in my '70 El Camino so I don't know just how fast I was going, but it was well past 120mph. :AH-HA_wink:
  14. Beater wagons are great! I'd definitely go that route.
  15. In that case, you can drop it off anytime.
  16. Stay out of my garage as well. :AH-HA_wink:
  17. The last special, purple one I remember was the HRT Maloo with the LS6. Round two?
  18. Tease! Gimme details, dammit!
  19. What if an upcoming session of congress were dedicated to repealing laws rather than making new ones? They could start with the truly absurd ones which would make for easy agreement and work their way toward the more difficult issues.
  20. Interesting. A one-tonner with a bed shaped like a standard Ute and Hillborn injection-style stacks through the hood. And, is that thing in purple primer? OK. Whatzit?
  21. That's just the point exactly, it doesn't need to be a law. BTW: I hate the state and its legislative tendencies, not Californians in general. I also hate the undesreved significance placed on ideas that originate in California. Just because one state chooses to do something shouldn't mean that the rest of us need to follow like a bunch of sheep. I'm glad that there are 50 states, the way I see it that's 50 chances to get it right.
  22. Bring back a Maloo for me? :AH-HA_wink:
  23. I really hate California, FOG has it exactly right. It's very simple: My dog = My decision. I would never pay the fine and would intentionally NOT nueter my dogs Because of the law. Funny thing about me, I don't need the government to think for me nor make decisions for me. It is bad enough that California feels the need to regulate every little detail of its own citizens' lives, but the way that the rest of the nation allows them to export their bad ideas is completely offensive. California needs to STFU and mind its own business.
