  1. Actually, I didn't see any. But, I was rushing through the fairgrounds and only saw a portion of what's there.
  2. The first pic is a Hearse from 1919 with 19,000 original miles. It is powered by an early Lincoln straight six. The rear bodywork is carved wood and the car itself is huge. Like a haunted house on wheels.
  3. Interesting chop. I think I might like it more than the VZ ute.
  4. Pics of the hood:
  5. The parts car hood is the straighter of the two, could be a tie on the rust. I'll take dog pics someday soon, Bob.
  6. Finally back from Carlisle. Got the car there ok, just had to re-wash it thanks to the rain. Then I got stuck (parked -in) at the registration area for at least an hour and a half. Finally got out and did a quick round through the grounds, got some good pics. Then, I got the call that the NOS hood for the camino had finally showed after over a month of waiting- and it is a complete piece of $hit. Bent and dented and even rusted-through in a few spots! I'm not happy. Now to get something to eat and take care of the dogs. I'll post some pics later.
  7. I'll be on my way pretty soon.
  8. Excellent catch! I like what I see, the B pillar is more El Camino-like!
  9. If nothing else, this thread has been an exercise in fleshing ot the rationale behind Pontiac's new direction. For that reason alone the thread retains value - so I won't lock it as useless.
  10. You must have the world's largest collection of "finger photos".
  11. That last bit is new to me and sounds promising. The spy pics are already posted in the Holden Forum.
  12. Speaking of flowmasters, I'm wondering just how loud the wagon will be when I fire it up for the first time. In the Camino, with stock single exhaust, the 350 was pretty quiet. The wagon has big duals with flowmasters and headers - something tells me its going to be pretty loud.
  13. He has to go through some kind of approval process, shouldn't be a big deal for a car that old. Now, if he bought a new GTO, it could be an issue.
  14. Thanks man, who knows how it will turn out. The car is loaded on the trailer and tied down, and the trailer is hooked to the Silverado. I'll be leaving in the morning. Got some long days ahead.

  16. Insufficient data to give a meaningful response. But, I'd like to know who funded the study.
  17. At that time, GM was making about 15k per Tahoe - so I can't blame them for upping production. Too bad they chose the B-body plant to do it though, I'd have been happier to see them kill off some of the other junk they were building at the time. I almost got the b-body El Camino I wanted (it was on the way to being approved). But, if an updated G-body with LT1/LS1 power was around , I don't think you would have sold quite so many Tahoes. The SUV craze happened in large part because no cars with decent room and power were left. These buyers defaulted to SUVs to get towing and family hauling capabilities, not the 4x4 capabilities. The product mix was way off and the Tahoe benefitted hugely. It was the most well-timed new product in recent GM history IMO. But I think it was a happy accident, not a the result of good planning.
  18. Mr. Lutz, your anti- CAFE weapon has just arrived.
  19. I think I'm with Chaz on this one. The front is butt-ugly, the back merely ok, and the doors absurd. Hope this is only a styling exercise without production intent.
