  1. Affordable: Umm.. I'm broke as it is trying to make my current car payments but lets say I didn't have those... Possibly a Cobalt SS/G5 GT or G6 GT Coupe. Money no Object: Too many to list but I'll go with my current desire: 1966-1967 Buick Riviera with a Wild Cat or a LS engine dropped in and (twin) turbocharged.
  2. You know, I've always hated the idea of 4 door convertibles and haven't seen one that worked.. this one however I like.
  3. I was thinking something similar... While from what I can see, there is no difference between the two, the angle of the shot makes the 60 min clip look pretty bold and aggressive, while the new shot head on looks almost 'cute'.. don't know how else to put that.
  4. By the way.. those rims on the full car shot, for what I can make out.. look sweet!
  5. From this photo. I'm getting a slight Avalon vibe Not necessarily a bad thing considering the Avalon is priced much higher.
  6. My first thoughts on the pic:-Grill -Headlights eh... Not as bad as this but still my first thought
  7. If this is in fact the real deal, aside the grill, I think the rest is kinda boring. An improvement over the current model but still.. the headlights, why can't they use sleeker projectors? Judging the by the spyshots, the lower grills look pretty accurate.
  8. Eww... Now I'd like to see a video of a Silverado vs F150
  9. hmm.. very close. I think (hoping) the grill will be a bit bolder, more close to the SS concept in your signature rather than the current impala as in the chop.
  10. Awesome! That is one of my all time favorites. It has classic sound, with just a small hint of "glam" thrown in."Love Bites" is a song of theirs I really get into, "Rock of Ages" too but it is overplayed a lot at bars and on the radio.I've been listening to Rush - "YYZ" and Death - "Misanthrope" a lot lately.
  11. Well it's been a few days, and I sent this email to them. I was actually kind of hoping it would grab their attention being (what I think) well worded, the fact that my father was in the service, or just hoping there was a considerate person who would read the email but not one response as of yet. So if anyone else could provide some help or suggestions I'd appreciate it. Otherwise I guess I'm gonna have to rethink on what else to get him this year.
  12. What's everyone's thoughts on the RS label, like on the non supercharged Cobalt SS?
  13. Sounds like a really good deal, but as everyone else said, have a mechanic check it out. Over the summer my mom got a 97 SE (I think, it's N/A & has a column shifter) for $2000 and a month later the manifold had a problem, after that the transmission had some sort of issue, both of them had to be replaced. Now, the car runs like a dream. Really nice ride, and it's got some pretty nice power for it's size (yours will have more being supercharged).
  14. Already browsed through there as well as any other poster sites. The only red 65 Verts that I have seen are the 427 model with the exhaust down the sides. While, I'm sure my dad would like it , it's not the exact car he had and I was looking for a more sentimental type of gift. I'm thinking I might want to try to email this rental place to see if that have any high resolution photos of the car just not sure how to word it. I'm not expecting a reply (or a nice one coming from a place that has high end exotics), but it doesn't hurt to try.
  15. My dad isn't one for ads, and I really don't want a really busy colleague, just one picture of the car at a nice angle is all I'm looking for. Still browsing, shame I couldn't just rent this car for an hour and take some pictures with my buddy's Nikon http://www.dfweliteautorental.com/showroom...c65corvette.htm

  18. I've had this idea for sometime and every year I try but come to the same struggle I'm having now. Back in 1970 after my dad left the service, he had bought a red 1965 Corvette (327cc, 4 speed) convertible (black top) and he loved it but then was forced to sell it as he was having some financial issues since he was still in college at the time but really wishes he could get that car back all the time. Now, I have nowhere near the money to go buy and restore a 65 Vette but I do want to have a large size poster printed and framed for him. I'm thinking something at least 30" wide. About a year ago I had found this image off ebay and had emailed the seller if they had any high res photos (along with stating the use I have for it) but received no reply. Now, I've been trying to find some other pictures of this style of corvette but for red 1965 verts, all I'm finding are 427 models with the exhaust running down the side. I'd like to try to get a nice high res photo so when printed out to the size I'm looking for will come out clean and not blurry, the main reason I'm unable to use the photo above. Also, if possible I'd like a photo that does not have a license plate and a front view with a nice scenic background. If anyone here can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.
  19. It's on wieck.. so I'm assuming so.. I was worried that GM would bring over just the sedan and no hatches..
  20. My boss (Director of Technology).. for the most part I have no problem working with her. Though one time I had came into work without shaving for about a week and she gave me a glim look. But as for work situations.. sometimes she tries to be very dominate, but then, she's the boss and I could see anyone taking that position. But overall, I have no problems with her and don't really know many other lesbians.
