At 68 inches, the Flex is signifigantly taller than most moder sedans, which are usually under 60". Even lowered, the body still looks thicker. Also, the windshield has a steeper rake and the roof is flatter, compared to most cars with more swept-back windshields and arched greenhouses. Don't get me wrong, I like the Flex, I just don't think its very car-like at all. So yeah, agree to disagree I guess.

And after the Eagle, I'd probably get a Transit Connect because it can haul more than most (if any) crossover and still get the same or better fuel economy. If I were to reccoment a crossover to a mom with three kids, I'd probably say a Volvo, then Flex, Traverse, Journey, and Outback.

Sorry, the Flex still looks more akin to a truck than a car. It's just too tall. The Venza just looks like a... thing. And I am dead serious about the Eagle. I'd own one of those before any other new crossover.

I also prefer the original. Didn't care for the facelift, either.

I've always liked the Pacifica as well. It was elegant inside and out, quite an anomaly compared to its stablemates.

I agree with you about the rear door handle, and maybe the character line (still undecided about that), but nothing else you mentioned really bothers me. First, the front end is probably my favorite of any in Acura's short history. I think the Power Plenum grille is cool, and the headlights don't look crosseyed at all- they don't really look like any kind of eyes, they look like sharp sleek headlights. I have also always been a fan of the cut-off fast back, even on the Prius. (Actually from the A-pillar back I think the Prius looks pretty cool.) Long front overhangs have never bothered me, in fact I don't usually like short front overhangs. Nor do I think the rear door looks too short compared to the front, it looks about the same as most any current car.

I thought I read somewhere that sequential turn signals had become illegal, which is why I was surprised when I saw the new Mustang had them. I saw a pre-facelift 'Stang that had beed modded with them, and thought it was perfect for the classic segmented Mustang taillights. I don't like the backup lights in between the red segments at all though.

I still think y'all are crazy. This is a perfectly fine looking car. I honestly can't understand what everyone finds so revolting about it, other than possibly the mess of cutlines towards the back. Someone please explain.

AMC Eagle A crossover is really any SUV that is based on a car or otherwise unibody platfrom, from those as big as the Acadia to as small as the X1. I don't make a distinction between those that are more "SUV like" and those that are more "wagon like" because to me none of those listed above look like wagons. If you lowered them they would just look like lowered SUVs. I don't think it has to do as much with ground clearance as it does the hight of the actual body from floorpan to roof, as well as overall stance. The current Subaru Outback is taller than the XJ Cherokee, but if you lowered the Cherokee it would not look like a wagon, just a dropped Cherokee. Even though the Eagles were tall Concords and Spirits, they still stood at least six inches shorter than any of todays crossovers; it looks nothing like an SUV.

I find it highly ironic that they've given a Commodore a lower fascia that looks like it came from a Falcon.

I've written mostly in cursive since third grade. Cursive is faster for me to write when taking notes, but my handwriting is legible pretty much only to myself. Print on the other hand is slower for me, but much easier to read, so I use that if someone else is going to read it (or I want to be absolutely sure of what I've written). We all learned the same D'Nealian handwriting method at my school, but everyone still ended up with unique handwriting, both in print and cursive.

It's about 164 inches long and about 57 inches tall. Slightly smaller than the current Aveo sedan. It's really too late to make any major design changes other than this choice.

A was meant to reference the Nova, but I don't know if it overdoes the curvaceousness of the rest of the car. B reminds me of something Henrik Fisker said about the Alfa 156, that it looked sporty despite (or because) it did not have a fast C-pillar. I dunno if that quite works here.

Reading things like this makes me feel inadiquate.
