  1. Sparkly green '70s Olds sedan :/ White Cadillac Allanté Black '48-'49 Cadillac fastback coupe <3
  2. You're no fun, 68. The rear window doesn't roll down, but it has no b-pillar so as far as I'm concerned it's a hardtop.
  3. Very handsome car. Glad to hear you're keeping it white, I think it wears it well.
  4. The Rake's Song is great - in fact, the whole album is great.
  5. The Checker Marathon is most definitely a cool car. '59 Cadillac anything should be on there. DeLorean DMC-12 should be on there. Chevy Van should be on there. Miata should not be on there. Not that it's not a good car, I just never really saw it as "cool". Neither I nor my family have ever had any of the cars on that list.
  6. Because if you take the IC engine out of the Volt it will only go 40 miles. The number of batteries it would take to extend the range to the distance the IC engine does would be far heavier and larger.
  7. I did try other drinks while I was over there - White Russian (which I liked), Long Island, tequila, Jäger, but nothing that really tickled my fancy. I'm not a drinker, and I don't foresee me doing any drinking in the near future. Partly because I'm still underage and I'm a goody-two-shoes, and partly because alcohol is expensive and I'm stingy.
  8. Happy birthday, fellas!
  9. Only time I ever drank was when I went to Europe last Summer. Drank quite a few beers (not in one sitting of course) but never really developed a taste for the stuff. I was rather proud that I got to drink from the highest beer tap in the world (on top of Mount Pilatus).
  10. There's just something about the older Nashes that you just want to hug them. They're clean and round but very distinctive. The '69 on the other hand is a perfect blend of formal and agressive. IKA-Renault Torino - popular Argentine car based on the Rambler American
  11. Sounds like the sound the AC compressor in my Corsica made when it died.
  12. There are two drive-ins within ten minutes of my home, and they both still do impressive business during the season. One of them had traffic backed up half-a-mile down the road waiting to get in. It's a sad that drive-ins are fading away everywhere else. They are far superior to indoor theatres in my opinion. It makes me all the more glad the ones in my area are thriving.
  13. I luvs me a Big Mac and McDonalds' fries are my favorite next to carnival fries. And my doctor said all the salt is actually good for my orthostatic hypotension. Taco Bell is my fast food of choice, though. Expecially since it's closest and cheapest around school.
  14. Avantime is one of the few hardtops I'd really like to own. This thread needs more Ambassador.
  15. One of my favorite episodes. The only problem is that they started out talking about muscle cars, but the only car they tested that could be considered a muscle car was the Challenger. The ZR-1 and CTS-V are far too expensive and complex to be muscle cars (which they did admit later in the show). I don't care though. Hearing Clarkson gush over the Corvette more than makes up for any semantic errors.
  16. I'd buy one of each body style AMC Eagle and "personalize" them.
  17. Red Mercedes-Benz GLK. It's very... angular.
  18. Found out that the bumperless black '63 'Vette I saw a week or so ago belongs to a former classmate. It's actually a one-off custom body on an '84 chassis. Also saw an early '90s Regal sedan with the upper front fascia punched out and two round headlights sticking out of it, with three redneck gentlemen inside.
  19. Well what will you do if things don't get better?
  20. Black '63 Sting Ray with no bumpers Grey late '50s Corvette Shiny Buick Grand National
  21. My dad always regretted selling our Golf II. It was a good, fun little car. The quintessential small hatchback, in my opinion. Congrats, I hope it serves you well.
  22. I saw a B-2 fly over once when I was swimming in the neighbor's pool. It was eerily quiet, almost surreal.
  23. Yes, I know. Seconds before I crashed I had nearly drifted into the opposite lane. I had my eyes dead on the road. I don't even remember what the hell I was thinking about or looking at. I've always been worried about my ability to concentrate while driving, 'cos my thoughts easily spiral out of control. Even when I'm trying to concentrate on someone talking, I'll get fixated on one thing they say and miss the rest of what they're talking about. I've gotten myself lost many times just because I notice something random, take a minute to think about it, and I miss an exit. It kinda makes me think I shouldn't be on the road.
  24. I think it'd be really cool. I always liked the hatchbacks, but they're ultra-rare around here anymore.
  25. No one was hurt. My car got the brunt of the damage. The hood is slightly bent and I need a new front bumper. Maybe this is my chance to get one from a Beretta.
