  1. I'd like the Meguiar's DA Power System for waxing & polishing ($59.99): http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotive/products/g3500-da-power-system/ I'm not big on waxing, mainly due to timing issues, but this product would help motivate me to do it at least twice a year (I'm lucky to wax once a year, though I want to do both the Canyon and LaCrosse before the real cold settles into NJ soon). With the remaining $40, I'd like two of the DA Power Packs @ $12 each, the Waxing and the Polishing packs. The remaining $16 could go for an additional pad pack ($14) or a new bottle of Meguiar's wax.
  2. Thank you, both of you! Yes, she's been wanting a LaCrosse for a long time (since they came out in 2010). I offered to let her get a new Buick back in February when I traded my '06 GMC Envoy, but she was happy with the Pontiac G6 (especially since it was paid off!). But riding in my truck, seeing how nice a new vehicle is, and several of our friends and family members getting something new this year, really motivated her to wanting a Buick LaCrosse. She did not waiver from that model at all during our search, and finances dictated that a pre-owned model would be the best way to go about this purchase. I tried and tried like heck to find the trim (Premium I or higher) through the GM Certified Pre-owned Program, but most of the 2013 LaCrosse's were base or Leather models (we found one Touring model back in August, but the dealer wasn't interested in the trade-in of the Pontiac and low-balled me badly). We are lucky to have a CarSense dealership in our backyard, so we've been visiting their site and several Buicks the past two months. This was the first Premium model that was in our price range and had the bare minimum of options she really wanted. 18,264 miles on the odometer, balance of the factory 4 year/50k mileage warranty plus the warranty CarSense provides (6 months/6,000 miles bumper-to-bumper), Carbon Black Metallic exterior with Titanium Leather Interior, heated & ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, rear power sunshade, panoramic sunroof, 18" chrome wheels - all hooked her early on. She still has a permagrin on her face since taking delivery Saturday afternoon. More pictures will be posted once I take some with my digital camera and I'll post more about the car and what we like about it the most soon.

  5. Congrats! I really like the styling of the new Miata. Many Happy Motoring Miles to you!!
  6. Yes, you were the unofficial birthday greetings poster here. I'll blame the Colorado purchase the reason for your lack of birthday cheer-spreading. Obviously your attention has been diverted due to the Colorado taking over your life
  7. I hit you up on Facebook yesterday, but I'll wish you a Happy Birthday here too for a very
  8. Actually, yes you did. Thanks I may be traveling during the middle of the week but let's see what happens as the time gets closer. Thanks, Drew!
  9. Awesome, thanks Drew. I think I know the dealer that originally sold the car, so I'll start with them (southern NJ dealership, so thankfully not too far away). I think Chevy has a service they use to provide this kind of product to Chevy vehicle owners, I know GMC doesn't, wasn't sure about Buick (I know Pontiac still does through the Pontiac Historical Society). I appreciate your help, as usual
  10. Welcome to the site!! Sorry, but I'm a huge NON-FAN of Toyota, no matter what the company does. I think they make some of the ugliest vehicles on the road (see SUV pictured above) and their owners tend to think these cars are all things holy. But don't let that stop you from posting and enjoying yourself here.. I've been here a LONG time and can't ever part with this site for too long
  11. Can you tell me what shipping to 08060 would be for the 2014 Jeep Kit? Thanks! What, no GMC?
  12. Even if (A) the car is older and (B) they weren't the original seller?
  13. Does anyone know if there is a service that will provide you with a reprint of an original window sticker for Buick models, say between the years 2010 through 2014? Thanks!
  14. Hmmm.. tough one as I believe my "soul" could be from either: 1948 or 1955/1956
  15. Born December, 1974... so I'd imagine there'd still be some leftover '74 models available (which in my case I'd prefer over the '75, which I truly wouldn't pass up if offered one though today ) 1974 GMC C/K1500 Sierra Grande

  17. From what I understand, there will be a Chevrolet Class 4 (4500) and International will get a Class 5 (5500) vehicle. I'd imagine Chevy will want a 5500 model too, and may be the next offering. I don't think there will be 6500 and 7500 models, unless this product becomes very successful quickly. 2018 seems like a really long time for this product to come out, and I don't like that GMC will not receive a 4500/5500 product. This model will replace the current model International TerraStar - both GM & International will offer a vehicle on this platform, not sure if GM is sharing cabs and powertrains with Intenational or if International will have their own cabs and powertrains.
  18. Regardless of the product issues and it's past, Fisker automobiles are still one hell of an attractive vehicle! I went to a combined show - classic cars, trucks, antique Caterpillar tractors, and antique power equipment - and in the parking lot (grass area) was a silver Fisker Karma. Wow, that car still attracts viewers as they walked past it!
  19. You are all missing the boat when it comes to law enforcement. Police officers no longer want SEDANS, they want CUVs built to handle the requirements of the job. GM needs a Ford Explorer competitor if they plan to sell to law enforcement in volume. At a local car show I attended yesterday, the town police had the roads closed for the show. On the ends there were Ford Crown Vic's, around 2009-vintage. In the middle were new 2014 Ford Explorers and Chevy Caprices (2012-2013 vintage). Only one cop, a supervisor with a 29k mile 2009 Crown Vic, wished Ford never stopped with the Crown Vic. The officer I spoke to with the Caprice said it goes like a bat out of hell, but is too cramped in the front seat with the PD computer and other PD equipment; he said he prefers the Explorer. The other two cops, each with an Explorer, told me they'd never look back at a Crown Vic, Caprice, or Charger again. Fleet sales of the Explorer to law enforcement are through the roof. Police Dept's no longer desire nor want sedans. I am a huge fan of the Chevy SS Sedan and the Caprice PPV, were I wish a civilian version was offered. I would have jumped on either if I could afford the SS or a Caprice was offered to the public (in place of my GMC). Last November and again in January, I looked at leftover 2014 SS sedans but just couldn't handle the payments - very few sales incentives were available even then. Many Chevy dealers around me in southern NJ just don't want to stock these cars, and if they do it's usually one or two at the most. I've recently been looking at dealer stock again and most of the dealers that had two just a month ago are down to one; a lot of other dealers that had one still have it (showroom or concrete pad queen, if you know what I mean). Even at car shows I see tons of new privately owned Corvettes and Camaros, but only one local show had a dealer display consisting of a Camaro, Corvette, and an SS. Heck, I just seen a silver SS on the road yesterday - the first spotting in months (and I drive all over south & central NJ and eastern PA). These SS sedans aren't marketed because: (1) the dealer cost & MSRP is high, (2) incentives do not exist on the SS compared to the rest of the Chevy lineup, and (3) most people that want a powerful car like this are buying BMW M's and Mercedes AMG's while the Average Joe is looking for deals on Chargers, Challengers, Mustangs, and Camaros - none of which can compete with the SS on incentives and price. I want nothing more than the SS to live on, heck I still drool over each one I see and say if I hit the lottery its the first purchase I'm making. But the reality is GM was contractually obligated to sell Holden's in the US and this was the only way GM would do it (selling low volume, fully optioned, V8 powered models). GM needs to concentrate on making CUVs that people want (arguably they do with the Terrain/Equinox/SRX), add in heavy duty versions that can serve law enforcement outside of full-size SUVs that LE doesn't want, and realize the market for full-size sedans has shrunk to the point they are becoming a niche market. GM has the small-to-midsize sedan market well covered, and it should only continue to improve when the new Malibu and Regal go on sale. Full-size sedans are not what the majority of the buying public want anymore, they want CUVs and so do law enforcement.
  20. I'll take a Ute, Sport Wagon, Calais, or the Caprice please I did say please!!
  21. Here's the picture as featured in the the 1994 brochure: http://car-pictures.cars.com/images/?IMG=U4GTGEH1.png&WIDTH=624&HEIGHT=300&AUTOTRIM=1 Here's another picture of a '94 model in the blue:
