  1. For the first time in August on the southeast shore of Long Island, it drizzled here last night. It's amazing.. people 5 miles north of me, 5 miles east of me, got rain this month. It like disintegrates before it touches my town.
  2. Haha, yeah, we got her out of most of her herding habits when Eve was born because we read when the child begins to walk, the dog will yank her ankles out from under her if it feels the child is in danger of going somewhere it shouldn't.
  3. Ocn... she's my angel. She watched over my goddaughter like it was her own child. No one other than the people living in the house (this is back when I lived with my friends while getting my masters), was allowed to come near the baby unless we told her it was okay. She laid down and guarded when my goddaughter was put down for naps, etc. It's truly amazing. And all she does is love. YellowDart, as for creating a trail, yup, there are a few in the yard. One in particular is around this large bush/tree combo in the corner of the yard. She gets so excited while you're playing, she has to run to get the excitement out. And as for fences, we had to be careful. She opens doors in the house. She can jump 4 feet high from a seated position, so baby gates didn't work to keep her out of a room. And well, let's just say rabbits and chipmunks are well aware to not go to the area anymore This is her:
  4. Well, she herds if we get out of the pool. Actually, she herds ALL the time... we were very careful when my goddaughter was just learning to walk because we noticed she'd steer her if she looked unsteady (but we didn't want her to nip her ankles which she never did). But when someone dives, she whimpers until the person swims to the other end and stops to say "It's okay" to her. I should probably add she refuses to go in the pool... and supposedly her breed LOVES to swim.
  5. I've had my border collie for about 6 years now--we got her when she was about 6-12 months old from a shelter. She was extremely sick and severely underweight when we got her. Today, she's a healthy, happy, active girl that I can't imagine my life without. I've done a good deal of reading up about her breed, and most things fit. However, every now and then there's a question I have about a behavior she exhibits. Most recently, her behavior towards people diving in the pool. Anyone have border collie experience?
  6. It's beautiful, quiet, gets a lot of snow. That's the most I can offer. I was only there to frequently visit my friend who went to Dartmouth.
  7. Current gen Camry Hybrid with all of the "Hybrid" markings having a chrome "?" right before it. All over the car it said, "?Hybrid"
  8. I just don't get the whole point of the 3.0L. Actually, I don't get the whole point of the 2.4L. I LOVE this car though.
  9. That is HOT!
  10. My first black Camaro SS with red stripes.
  11. Funny you should bring this up... I was just talking to my friend 5 minutes ago about toilet paper. I took my goddaughter to the bathroom at a diner once... I layered the seat completely three times (I know, overkill), and I went to pick her up and put her down on the seat when I realized, she only has a 4-inch wide butt LOL My TP dispenses from the top at home. Anywhere out that has those monstrosity-sized dispensers always seems to come from the bottom, in which I end up ripping it after 1 thin square. And no, I haven't a square to spare.
  12. I like the piano black finish. I'd REALLY love to see some new textures/materials to liven up cars. It seems we have 2 majors: wood (faux and real), and brushed aluminum.

    KIA VENGA

God... all the music that just flooded to my head... C'mon Ride the Train, Tubthumping, Magic Carpet Ride, etc.
  14. 2004 Prius. I hate it. Other than that, any modern cars I've driven all seem nice compared to my 94 Century.
  15. I have to be the only person who's always thought wagons were UGLY.
  16. I'm hoping when the Regal comes the CXL will become the new CX for the LaCrosse. That'll allow the price to bump up a little and who knows, maybe they can add even a little more luxury.
  17. That's exactly what it looks like.
  18. I like it.
  19. Ah, I can't view it.. it must be for premium subscribers :AH-HA_wink:
  20. Clicca
  21. I will say, this LaCrosse blows the other one out of the water. As far as W-bodies go, the Intrigue was my favorite by far. I frequently wonder what the Intrigue would have become, how it would have evolved, if it had lived on. It may sound crazy, but as nice as the Aura is, the Intrigue to me was sportier looking. I compare the two because I feel the Aura was positioned to do what the Intrigue tried to do. There are several GM cars I wish I could have new. Intrigue is definitely one of them.
  22. F'in love the interior. I wish we could have those gauges in the US. I like my digits to be upright, and not wrapped around the speedometer/tachometer. I hate that.
  23. That is a freaky looking storm. If you like storms, never move to the southeast end of Long Island. Although tonight I did see a little heat lightning. But yeah, nothing other than that.
  24. Medium rare.
