Buick to Get the Next Generation Astra in 2011
Okay, I'll bite. I HATE 5-doors but this looks nice. As long as Buick gives a small premium sedan with it, I'll give a thumbs up. Just do the interior really sweet and offer a decent powertrain. The Astra we have now was really lacking not offering a second engine.

Hmmm... give up your freedom with a 500 dollar per ATM limit?

My best friend plans on selling his Toyota for a Volt.

That's an awesome color! Then again, I'm a fan of most shades of blue!

Does it still count as "Tech"...
Thanks WMJ... it looks different than the original I had. Let me see if the one I bought fits inside the armrest. If it doesn't, I'll return it and take yours. Thanks again!

Well, I don't have them anymore, but they looked pretty much like the ones in the picture.

Thank you so much WMJ... I wish I had seen this message this morning. I went and got it. They say 14 day money back guarantee, so if you still have the double, I'd be willing to give you some money for it. Originally the car had the double. I'll admit, I was never a huge fan of it because it didn't really support the drinks well, but at this point anything is better than me holding it. I'm sick of waiting for the window to roll up so slowly while I'm driving and hoping that the cup sitting on the center hump doesn't tip until I can grab it again. I still love my Century, despite it's little flaws that irritate the ---- out of me.

That's what I was thinking too. Thanks Satty.

Okay, 1994 Century. The cupholder in the armrest is broken. I threw it out a while back. Since I've become an avid tea drinker in the morning and putting it in a travel mug, I'm tired of holding beverages while I drive anywhere. I found this, a cupholder to replace the one in the armrest. The guy advertises it for a Buick LeSabre/Park Ave, some Caddy and Olds too, but said it may work in other models. How can I find out if this will work in mine? Was it a standard cupholder mechanism used in GM armrests? eBay Cupholder Link Thingy Anyone know?

Thank you. I have more knee room in a Corolla. I'm 6'3" and my right knee is pressed against the dash when driving because it comes out as it heads towards the center stack. Doesn't do that with the Corolla.

How have you cut back?
I've cut back on a few things here/there. Unfortunately, I've been really watching the type of products/food that enter my house. I've been more actively recycling and buying organic meats/produce. Because it's more expensive to do that, money I saved in other areas has essentially evened out. Here's where I save: 51.00 a month for my car insurance. LOL

Mercedes Benz Targets 0.20Cd Drag Coefficient in Next Five Years
Well, that's very ambitious, but like the last line states: "But while carmakers continue to extract as much efficiency out of their cars, we hope aesthetics don't get laid completely by the wayside." I just hope everything doesn't end up looking like a Prius/Insight.

A legend speaks
My dad was so upset when Pontiac started changing names and even more upset when the death was announced--his first car was a Bonneville... not sure what year, but he talks about it to this day like no other car has even come close (although he LOVED his LeSabre and is thrilled with his Lucerne--just doesn't get the same look in his eye than when he talks about the ol' Bonneville).

Announcement about Toyota and San Antonio
QUOTE (tmp @ Apr 30 2009, 06:36 PM) Well, since Tundra's seem to fall to salt rust the first time they get wet I suppose those 75 people better be able to process them quickly.. Hey now... Toyota is doing their part to have the Tundra biodegrade as soon as possible. Just another way the company is green. Wait, is this a "World's First Biodegradeable Truck Frame"?

Sigh. Prices are so different here vs. most of the nation. Chris, if you really like the place, get it. However, he sounds like he'll be a PITA.

Sounds good to me. Give it a DI 2.4L as a base and a DI 3L as an option.

For all the haters!
I have always disliked comic sans and yes, it is used everywhere. I am partial to calibri, bazooka, trebuchet and majandra. Students are not allowed to type in bradley hand when writing papers for my class.
