  1. It looks wider also, and the body doesn't tuck onder nearly as much as the old one..not to mention the modern sized wheels and tires. The hood is shorter, A-pillars thicker, etc. It's retro yet modern and distinctive... in Hemi orange, it will really stand out amidst the sea of ordinary cars on a typical freeway or street. Like them or not, the recent Dodge and Chrysler RWD models all stand out as unique and distinct, something that can't be said for GM's bland FWD models, IMHO...
  2. Since the GTO is out-of-production, they don't need anything to combat it. But the Challenger Hemi will fill that role nicely..
  3. The TL is one of the few FWD cars that I really like and would actually buy..I've test driven them a couple times, would make a great daily driver..I like the exterior styling (esp. in dark gray or dark blue), the interior design, and the availability of a manual transmission.
  4. The Compass seems pointless to me..the Liberty is fine for an entry-level Jeep, IMHO. The Compass exterior is ugly and the interior is cheap and nasty (unfortunately, that seems to be the trend with all recent Jeeps...)
  5. Well, remember, this is GM..not Toyota..
  6. Excellent.
  7. ? Nothing wrong with offering upgrades...an economy car doesn't have to be a bare-bones penality box...
  8. Has their been another previously?
  9. The air bag panels look loose in that old Lumina
  10. The styling looks a lot better than the current Vue, IMHO...the original Vue was ok, but they seriously uglified it with the current nose..
  11. I think of Corollas, Camrys, and Subaru Outbacks..dark green is a very popular color around here for some reason on those 3 models...
  12. Check ebay or 1stop diecast (they are my vendor of choice for Johnny Lightnings, and I know they carry the Jada diecast). www.1stopdiecast.com
  13. Looking at the gas prices, I kind of wish I still had my dad's diesel Escort that I drove 20 years ago in HS.. 55 mpg on the highway. But then I remember it had vinyl seats, am radio, no a/c..
  14. It will be nice to see all 3 on the market....I'm a big fan of the Mustang, looking forward to the Camaro (glad they went with the '69 cues, since the '69 was the best looking of the older Camaros, IMHO), and am also looking forward to the Challenger (my favorite 1970 design). All are retro yet modern..
  15. 2007...Autoweek has it now. Looks good..
  16. Will Ferrell in any Colin Ferrell role..
  17. I liked bright red as a teenager (which is why my '87 Mustang is bright red), but now prefer silver, dark gray, dark green, dark blue. I like the look of black but wouldn't want to deal with the upkeep. Dark blue is hard enough to deal with..
  18. I wouldn't recommend flipping off a Prius driver in LA..you never know, they might be enviro-gang bangas and they might bust some caps in yo azz...
  19. Oil closed at almost $77/barrel today..I wonder when it will shoot to $100/barrel.
  20. Oil caused the corrosion? I would assume salt in the air (near the Arctic Sea?) could be part of the cause...
  21. What's funny is my V8 Mustang gets better mileage (25 hwy) than my 6-cyl Jeep (18 hwy).
  22. BP has been in the US for quite a while...they also bought Sohio (Standard Oil of Ohio) about 15 years ago, IIRC...I remember when they set up offices in Cleveland when I was living in the area..
  23. It will be interesting to see how much the car changes overall..I assume there will be detail changes--smaller wheels, things like the headlights, larger side mirrors, interior trim, etc. But I wonder if they will raise the roof or enlarge the windows any..the windshield opening looks awfully small from the pics (I wonder how the headroom and outward visibility of the concept are)..
  24. True enough...you can't get much more boring or mediocre than most of GM's '80s-early '00s FWD lineup...
  25. True enough, but I think the core market is going to be existing Camaro fans and owners, and to a lesser extent Mustang owners, and people considering the Mustang. I'm both a Mustang fan/owner and a BMW fan/owner (yes, I'm an anomaly--I like domestics and imports, old school and modern) and am definitely in the target demographic for a G35 or 3-series. But I'd definitely take a look at a Camaro, esp. if it was available in a convertible (the Mustang GT convertible is high on my 'next fun car' list), as I still like the old-school muscle cars. I've priced out the Mustang GT a couple times, the way I want one would be $36k which isn't bad for a V8, IMHO. As long as the price is comparable to the Mustang, I'd consider a Camaro.. The current Mustang GT is a good value for the money...what I'd really like to see from a Mustang (or Camaro) are more options (sunroof for the coupe, nav system, etc) and nicer fit/finish for the interior..
