  1. Winding road.
  2. .Yes, the rare '71 Vega SS 454 ht Not a ht, but Ford had a convertible Vega in '53 (one-off).
  3. madness
  4. No- this was in the '60s- to figure out how to make real power, undoubtedly. And yes- I'm sure mercedes has learned much about building automatics from GM- many have tried to better them in the past and failed. I was referring to Lexus..2006.
  5. And it's shorter than the crew cab.
  6. The new Avalanche looks great, IMHO...it doesn't have the stupid flat-topped fender openings of the old model or the chessy cladding. It looks clean and refined, with a vastly improved interior...what's not to love? The GMT 900 is such a vastly improved vehicle over the old...
  7. happy
  8. Maybe..I do wonder how long they can keep going on... I saw them a few years ago in Vegas and it was a great show..lots of energy and lasted almost 3 hrs.
  9. The tilt column thing seemed absurdly nit-picky to me.. I think my Jeep only has 5 positions...I didn't realize any car had more than that. I don't see any Camry, but I see a lot of Passat in the C-pillars and tail. The front would look better without a different headlight treatment, IMHO.... something more horizontal would look better...(and wider Buick taillights).

  11. Similar here..I had about 20 of coworkers and friends over...it looked great on the big screen HDTV..
  12. The Camry Hybrid ad was just too schmaltzy... My favorite ad was probably the first Bud Light ad with the guys trashing their office (cube farm).... it hit home since I live that life and the thought of everyone freaking out and joyfully trashing the place is irresistible... smile.gif I liked the Fed Ex caveman one also.
  13. Dodge
  14. I test drove a Magnum a while back..truly awful trying to see out the back (tiny rear window, sloping roof). I remember the second-gen Chrysler LH models (Intrepid, Concorde, LHS) being hard to see out also, because they had a high tail and sloping rear window (I had a few of these as rentals a few years ago). I've driven TTs also and they are a pain to see out of, esp. the convertible w/ the top up.. After sitting in one at a car show, I think the Merc CLS--as beautiful as it is--would be hard to live with..tiny side windows, sloping back window and sloping decklid makes it very hard to see out of.
  15. Yeah, but I think of him as Phoenix now since he lives there.
  16. Tori Amos.
  17. I liked it...I always enjoy seeing the Stones. (though they should have had some Detroit talent--Eminem and Iggy Pop together, maybe).
  18. A black one was on the field, presented to the MVP.
  19. Bill Bryson's 'The Mother Tongue'. I wouldn't be surprised to see Spanish an official second language in many states eventually.
  20. convertibles
  21. The Sharper Image ones do a decent job, but the Bose ones are definitely better. I use mine mostly on trips (great on airplanes) and usually keep the Sharper Image ones at the office.
  22. hot
  23. Yes, they are. Sharper Image makes a decent cheap pair for $49, though..I have some of those also.
  24. I seem to remember reading something about Kappa not being engineered for RHD (more than moving the steering rack, lots of underhood issues). I'd be surprised if they don't push forward with one, though, since the UK is the biggest market in Europe for 2 seat sports cars, I think...
