Blah, blah, blah...the AMG One is not a production car yet, so any details are just speculation at this point...still a couple years from being real. The hypercars are just a lot of pointless nonsense, IMO...they either end up in collections and are never driven, hauled to car shows, or catch fire. Real world performance cars are much more interesting..

Industry News: Trump Raises Tariffs on All Mexican Goods
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Industry News
I don't think there is any such thing as a 'tolerant right', at least not these days... <sarcasm> Build that wall along the beaches! </sarcasm> (I am surprised the MAGA hat wearers haven't hollered about building walls or dams along the coastline of Florida and other Gulf Coast states). -
Beautiful weather again on Sunday... saw a sharp 73 Grand Prix. Rolling on Cragar SS mags. Custom purple-blue paint. Nice rumble. Went up to the lake, found a nice local Mexican place for dinner, found some beautiful hilly, twisty backroads (Willoughby Hills/Kirtland, Oh) and on one of those roads saw a new ZR1 (bright orange) zipping along, followed by a clean early 90s C4 convertible in white w/ red interior. Saw a gorgeous silver w/ blue top '67 Corvette convertible.

That's the C7, though...will be interesting to see the starting price point for the C8...
-
That one never made much sense... muddied the brand positioning.

VW hasn't had air-cooled models in the US in 40 years...that's a very dated image.

Yummm...makes me think of tacos..quesadillas...burritos...tortas...nachos...chiles rellenos...
-
LoL...I get some squeaks and creaks from my Jeep armrest and dash...rough potholed roads around here...
-
And they have the GLA for the psuedo-CUV hatchback. So they can give it a tiny trunklid with a small opening.
-
Had to run to the post office this morning, saw a sharp red w/ white top '59 Edsel 4dr sedan at a gas station and a very clean black '96 Impala SS.
-
I always liked the Caprices, though I prefer the styling of the boxy '77-90 ones more than the whales...but the whales have their charm, esp. in Impala SS form. Saw a really clean black Impala SS this morning.

Looks like the wheelbase is the same as the ATS, but the CT4 is about 5 inches longer and a couple hundred heavier. ATS Wheelbase 109.3 in (2,776 mm) 112.6 in (2,861 mm) (ATS-L) Length 4,643 mm (182.8 in) Width 1,806 mm (71.1 in) Height 1,420 mm (55.9 in) Curb weight 1,504–1,570 kg (3,315–3,461 lb) CT4 Wheelbase 109.3 in (2,776 mm) Length 187.2 in (4,755 mm) Width 71.5 in (1,816 mm) Height 56.0 in (1,422 mm) Curb weight 3,616 lb (1,640 kg) (CT4-V, RWD)

Last day of the month, nice warm weather...out and about and saw a variety of interesting vehicles...a late 60s-early 70s GMC shortbed fleet side pickup in silver, a mint silver '65 Cadillac de Ville convertible w/ black top, a black CTS wagon (non-V), a very clean dark red early 90s Cadillac Sedan de Ville w/ padded top, a white '14-15 Camaro Z-28, an F8 green '19 Challenger Hellcat Redeye wide body....

This came up the Hemmings newsletter today, pretty interesting read...not familiar w/ the Fageol Supersonic. (though I'd heard of the truck and bus company). https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2019/05/31/split-apart-stolen-and-misidentified-fageols-supersonic-pataray-led-a-tortured-existence/?refer=news

I definitely like the CT4 roofline more than the CT5. Looking forward to seeing how regular trim CT4s look.

GMC production numbers, where to find official ones?
Robert Hall replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in The Lounge
Sharp truck..always liked that generation, esp. after the '81 nose job. -
I thought that also... had to look it up. I think I was conflating it with the new Ford Super Duty pushrod V8. Wikipedia had the redline at 6100..but still low. Anyone know what the redline of the 2.0 turbo in the Camaro and others is?
-
pushrod 4? It's not 1982. I think the 2.7 is DOHC... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_L3B_engine

I like the design of the interiors of both cars, it's just they are so dark and grim. They need color.
-
I wonder if they will do that...or if the prices will be the same or higher than the ATS-v and CTS-v were.
-
They really have overdone gray... I so hate gray interiors. There is probably some shitty carbon fiber trim in there also on the V-series, though I didn't see any in the photos. In the first post above it says in 'The Big Concern' the detuned V series are so they can do V series versions of their AWD/transverse engine crossovers. So V-series now means basically appearance package.
-
Some rather odd contours on the CT4 rear end, I think I prefer the CT5 rear (not the C-pillar, but the deck and rear fascia). I like the license plate location more on the CT5.
-
Maybe they are de-emphasizing the high performance ICE V series to prepare for a future powerful 'EV' series...i.e. electrifying performance down the road.
-
I am surprised to see the The Car & Driver article implied there would be a higher horsepower 'more' V coming. No idea what they will call it and if it will be a V8 or not. It really sounds like the new 'V' is where 'V-sport' would be. Maybe the higher power versions will be called 'V-extreme' or 'Hyper-V'. Was surprised to see that, thought it was going to be a truck only engine.
