Audi News: Spying: Audi Q8 Is Almost Undisguised
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Audi
Such small differences could be accounted for by adjustable suspension arm mounting brackets, perhaps? -

Lamborghini probably had a specific reason for that extra 3/16th of an inch for the Urus. Likewise, the Bentyaga and Q7 wheelbases differ by 1/12 of an inch (could be a rounding error by the source, though) -

Same wheelbase, same platform. Probably a lot of dirty bits in common. VWAG seems to really get the most out of platforms. -

Those greens are great. I like seeing greens and browns instead of the usual predictable colors.- 16 replies

Audi News: Spying: Audi Q8 Is Almost Undisguised
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Audi
I couldn't find any information on the Audi USA site or Wikipedia..is the Q7 a 3 row or a 2 row SUV? Edit: found it on the Audi website..Q7 is listed as 7 passenger, so 3 row. -

Because that would be too predictable... -

Because the Q7 is 3 row, isn't it? 2 row may be perceived as more premium, since 3 row implies family hauler. -

Ok, about the same size as the Q7. -

I would assume since the Q8 is above the Q7 it is larger than the XT5? -

Ram News: Spying: 2019 Ram 1500's Face Peeks Out

The 6 sided trapezoid grille is a common styling cue nowadays--esp. with Ford and Hyundai, and some Toyotas. -
Sounds tasty (except for the beets--can't eat them--like the taste, but have bad reactions to them).

There are parts of AZ where it gets to 130 in the summer, ...like Bullhead City...Phoenix hit 120 this past summer..regardless of when or if it hits 140 or 150 (predicted for 2030 in some articles), it's still a disgusting desert shithole, glad it's permanently in my past...

Ah, didn't notice that distinction. Weird. Have non-plugin hybrids fallen from favor?- 20 replies

Niches within niches...the GLB is rumored to be a butched-up GLA with G-class styling in a compact form, while a rumored GLG would be a GLE variation with G-class styling and room for 7.

The concept was just cartoon nonsense. The production one is retro modern, like the Wrangler. Supposedly all-new. Yeah, I remember seeing quite a few of them in Phoenix & Scottsdale, always shiny and polished, shiny black tires and chrome wheels. It would be nice to see people actually using them off-road, covered in dust and mud, scratches and rock chips, dents, etc...

Yeah, hurricanes and flooding would definitely be a concern about S. Florida. I'm glad I'm out of the desert, don't want to be there when the daytime highs start hitting 130-150F eventually. Other than winter cold, the Great Lakes region seems pretty good. Though part of me misses living in the West (specifically Denver).
-
I could see retiring to S. Florida...or spending winters there. I love the Keys, love the international flavor of Miami...

Cold and sunny again today in Cleveland. Was 0F when I rolled out the rubbish bins a couple of hours ago. About 6 inches of snow still on the ground. Jeep grubby, need to run through the car wash soon.
-
Yeah, been pretty cold and snowy since Xmas here in NE Ohio..I wouldn't mind winters in S. Florida eventually. I'm still happy to be away from Arizona and love having the Lake Erie beaches and islands close by (in nice weather).

Thought I'd mentioned that before...I lived there from '81-88. Went to Jr High and High School there, graduated from Marathon. My folks bought a winter house there in '81, sold it in the mid 90s. Loved living down there...
