  1. I could see that..have to look at it with an open mind...have to look past the brand's history as a marque of disposable cheap FWD appliances...
  2. Yeah, out here in the burbs civilian use ones seem to all be crew cabs. And in Phoenix, they all seemed to be 4WD crew cabs...
  3. Surprised the percentage is so low... maybe there are regional variations, but I ever see usually are crew cabs.
  4. I assume the fancy opera window on the GLB won't make it to production.. so the GLB will sit between the GLA and GLC, I assume.
  5. That's pretty funny...I don't mind driving in snowy conditions, but I loathe ice. As far as the gas guzzler list--woo hoo--Trackhawk! Surprised the Hellcat Challenger and Charger aren't on that list...
  6. Yes they are...never dull...new stuff popping up all the time...
  7. I like the GL/GLS and the ML/GLE... I like this wood trim better... After sitting in a few of these at car shows I can tell some of the shared hard points with the WK2 GC and Durango..
  8. I don't get why you think it may be Bolt based...Hyundai and Kia are capable of developing their own technologies and platforms, I don't see why they would hook up with a competitor. Looking past the show car cheese of this version, the regular Niro is a good looking little CUV... the platform and technology is shared with the Hyundai Ioniq.
  9. Maybe it's the color, but that striped (grooved?) 'wood' trim is really, really boring. Needs grain, color and pattern--otherwise it looks like a sheet of striped gray plastic...
  10. It's a late 50s Dodge bed, is what I've read. The step side is the same as the large Studebaker truck, I think.
  11. I don't think they are using GM parts...haven't heard of a GM-Kia JV. Maybe just working from a similar script as far as ingredients.
  12. Notice how the bed on the smooth side Champ doesn't match the cab styling..care to guess which of the big 3 they sourced the beds from?
  13. ^ the truck w/ the patina looks like a '38-39 Ford? The early 60s Studebaker pickup cab and front was derived from the Lark car. There are a few examples of Japanese pickups that were made like the Studebaker--the Isuzu Faster (1st gen Chevy LUV) regular cab and double cab used the doors, cab and front clip derived from the Isuzu Florian sedan, for example... (why I know this, I don't know..I have a head for weird automotive trivia..too many years of reading car magazines and the Wikipedia)
  14. Yeah, they were nasty here also I heard. One thing I like about working out of my house I can be very selective about when and where I go out...
  15. It does feel good...after highs below freezing since the Friday before Xmas, it feels great..ready to break out the flip flops, shorts and tropical shirts..;)
  16. So it was a high of around 8F Saturday but it could hit 60F Thursday...then teens and twenties and snow by the weekend.
  17. Such small differences could be accounted for by adjustable suspension arm mounting brackets, perhaps?
  18. Lamborghini probably had a specific reason for that extra 3/16th of an inch for the Urus. Likewise, the Bentyaga and Q7 wheelbases differ by 1/12 of an inch (could be a rounding error by the source, though)
  19. Same wheelbase, same platform. Probably a lot of dirty bits in common. VWAG seems to really get the most out of platforms.
  20. Those greens are great. I like seeing greens and browns instead of the usual predictable colors.
  21. I couldn't find any information on the Audi USA site or Wikipedia..is the Q7 a 3 row or a 2 row SUV? Edit: found it on the Audi website..Q7 is listed as 7 passenger, so 3 row.
  22. Because that would be too predictable...
  23. Because the Q7 is 3 row, isn't it? 2 row may be perceived as more premium, since 3 row implies family hauler.
  24. Ok, about the same size as the Q7.
  25. I would assume since the Q8 is above the Q7 it is larger than the XT5?
