  1. Buy em out, shut them down. Some pissant company trying to cause trouble.
  2. Saw two sharp vintage Caddies today..a '75-76 Coupe de Ville in a dark cherry red w/ white top and wire wheel covers, and a dark green '92-97 STS in very clean shape.
  3. Yesterday-- A gray Rolls Royce Phantom, 4 Tesla Ses (dark red, gray, white, and black), and a rather rare Mercedes-Benz SL AMG Black Series in white. Today was eclectic 70s import coupe day...saw a sharp yellow Fiat X1/9, a clean red Alfa Romeo GTV, a well worn faded red Lancia Beta (I see this one a few times a year), and a derelict-but-running gray/black Datsun 200SX, Teslas have become so common here in the Valley of the Sun they are now a daily sight.
  4. A sub-ATS model would be consistent with the approach the German brands are following.
  5. Very cool...regular Model Ses have become fairly commonplace sightings, at least in Scottsdale..saw at least 6 in the last two days..
  6. Saw a black Roller Phantom in traffic along w/ a mint condition light gray/beige '40 Ford Deluxe Tudor sedan. Was moving slowly in traffic, keeping long distances from cars in front, no doubt because of old timey brake stopping distances.
  7. Too soon. Wait until the new naming scheme is implemented. Then sales will really take off.
  8. Kind of like a Trail Hawk package? That would be nice.
  9. Speaking of pricey trucks, I saw on FB one of the car mags had a '15 F150 v6 Lariat that was stickered over $60k...not even a V8 Platinum version...WTF????
  10. Maybe they will do a CT8 as a flagship eventually... Quotes from a Jalopnik article (comment by Motor Trend writer): "And CT6 is not positioned against S-Class, 7 Series or A8." -Johan de Nysschen #cadillac #CT6 "[CT6]" will have more advanced technology, better dynamics, similar refinement but it is smaller." -Johan de Nysschen #cadillac #CT6 Interesting...
  11. Saw a sharp bright red w/ black wheels and black roof '14 Corvette Stingray in the parking lot at a local pet food store when I went in. When I came out, it was being winched up onto a rollback wrecker...hmmm... must have been recalled.
  12. Looks like it's changed again..interesting the way the text in longer posts now wraps below the avatar.
  13. Making a 4dr version is realistically the only way to really increase sales...
  14. Should of gone to LA or SF...more forward looking than NY.
  15. Yup, and if we can believe the spy shots, Malibu is next to fall in line... sigh... So is the LaCrosse. The Impala and XTS are already there...though I like the Impala roofline.
  16. GM did it in '78.. Yup, and if we can believe the spy shots, Malibu is next to fall in line... sigh... long, low roof six window fastback sedans. I blame the Audi A7, it started the trend. Benz CLS was before the A7, but it was just a melted E-class... the A7 is the template for all that followed, imo. The CLS may have been on E-class mechanicals, but looks nothing like the E-class..the CLS design is my favorite of modern Benzes....I like the A7, esp. that it's a hatchback. Of course, 6-window midsize sedans are nothing new...GM did it with the A-bodies in the '70s (RWD) and 80s (FWD), Audi going back to the '70s, Ford w/ the Taurus, etc.. Today there are so many w/ similar greenhouses...Fusion, Avalon, 200, Sonata, etc...
  17. My brother used to have a yellow '76 Chevy stepside very similar to that one Drew posted. Coming out of a restaurant tonight I walked past a silver '15 Sonata..mistook it for a Fusion--the profile is so similar. So many fastback 6 window sedans these days...
  18. Yeah, I've only put about 200 miles on it in the last 13 years...has 64k, original paint, interior. Needs the A/C recharged.
  19. I miss driving a manual...the only time I get in one is a couple times a year when I'm back in Ohio and drive my 5.0.
  20. Saw a white super stretch XTS limo today, first one I'd seen.
  21. The dealers will probably tack on an extra $10-25k in 'market adjustment'.
  22. The new Escalade's LEDs seem to work that way also..saw one this afternoon, the light pipe LEDs stayed lit even though the turn signal was making blinky blinky...
  23. At least the sedans are in increasing alpha order... XE < XF < XJ. But what do those letters MMEEAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN ?!?!?!?!?!? Is the XJ really 4 steps better than an XF, and how does the F-type relate to the XF? Would an AWD Jag be an 'XEX' and how would you pronounce that, exactly? Don't think the letters mean anything today... they've had an XJ for nearly 50 years now. The F-type doesn't relate to the XF, it's the F-Type since it is sort of a successor to the classic E-Type...as far as AWD versions, I don't think they get any special designation.
  24. Stay dry...been pretty wet here today..
  25. At least the sedans are in increasing alpha order... XE < XF < XJ.
