  1. Not much going on so far in the new year...was out in the backyard after sunset and spotted what appeared to be a CUV w/ full width (multi-segment) headlights drive by... bright white HID...appeared to be something midsize and aerodynamic, didn't look like aftermarket lighting (not an off-road light bar). it was too dark and far away to see exactly what it was...reminded me of the old Mercury Villager minivan but something modern...any idea what I saw? Was not a a Rivian..;)
  2. Pie
  3. Someone bored w/ a scrap travel trailer, scrap '66 Olds, various other cars/trucks, welding gear, bondo and lots of drugs and/or alcohol?
  4. Lots of '66 Oldsmobile bits in there looks like...
  5. The GMCs definitely look better than the Chevys. The previous gen still looks better, IMO...
  6. Re: rusty 70s Fords, yeah, the '73-74s really rusted badly here in Ohio...in the early to mid 80s, my older brother had '73 and a '74 LTDs...the rear bumpers rusted off, the trunk floors were gone, and on one of them the radiator fell out while driving as did the rear axle (that was what ultimately killed it)>
  7. Lol...yeah, I don't get out in the sticks much, I'm sure there is weird stuff out there. Not so much here in suburbia. As far as Balthy and his truck, I'd assume that is a business expense that he can get tax deductions for, rather than a personal transportation vehicle..
  8. 1971 Ford F700 Crew Cab w/ Cummins diesel
  9. A few random old Ford trucks
  10. My neighbor across the street has a modded '15-17---black, black wheels, rear window and side window louvers, a V6 w/ an aftermarket supercharger...every morning around 6 am---'braawwwwpppp' and again around 10pm..
  11. As seen in a FB group, an unusual Suburban/Accord hybrid. Not a photoshop, apparently.
  12. Love the early Cougars..grew up around them, my Dad had a '67 (289) and a '68 (302), my brother a '68 XR-7 (390).
  13. cool...I'll have to cruise by the local Ford store and see if they have any Bronco Sports the lot...
  14. How does Area 51 look in person? It looks like a blue gray to me in photos, similar to a Toyota and Jeep color.
  15. Was out a bit today, and along a two lane road that was well-plowed there was a bright yellow late model Camaro in a ditch on the right side of the road pointing the wrong direction...with a dusting of snow on it... must have went off yesterday or last night when it was still snowing and the roads were slippery...about 2 hrs later went back the opposite direction and it was being pulled onto a rollback wrecker...
  16. Beautiful cars..I love the R32 also... the R34 looks great in M-Spec NUR GT-R trim in green-gold. I also like the early 70s KPGC110 'Kenmeri' generation of Skyline GT-R.
  17. Cold out this morning, 17F. Roads plowed well. Had to go out and run errands, saw a current gen GMC Sierra longbed regular cab in a light gray blue. Decent looking, first time I’ve seen a regular cab of the current generation.
  18. Watched a few Christmas movies over the last few days...'DIe Hard', 'Christmas Vacation', 'Fred Claus', 'Bad Santa' and 'Bad Santa II'. Found a cold, snowy Norwegian crime drama to stream today--'Wisting'..pretty good.
  19. Sharp Mustang..love the color and the wheels. 5.0 and a manual, what's not to love? I wouldn't mind having another Mustang sometime..
  20. Chemical Brothers 'Block Rockin' Beats'. A time and place song, driving around Centennial, Colorado in my buddy Steve's black '91 Acura NSX on a sunny April Saturday in 1998. He had just bought the car in Portland, OR and driven it back to Colorado, I went over to his house and we went for a drive in it--I drove it also..we went out 470 to Morrison and up into the foothills.. This track was playing...first mid-engine car I'd driven.. will never forget the sound of that car under acceleration and this track... anytime I hear this track, I remember that car and first day I saw and drove it..good times. '
  21. I measured 6 inches of snow off the back patio earlier. Still snowing. Definitely having a white Christmas.
  22. Had a great sunrise yesterday, got to 50 then windy and rainy overnight...snow this afternoon, going to have a white Christmas...
  23. I'd heard of bumbershoot, it's an annual music festival in Washington..I assume Ocn has some other meaning.
  24. Interesting car...kind of like it, not in this color combo though...looks much better in blue or red w/ red interior trim, IMO.
  25. Great song..it's a cover of a Tom Waits track, here is the original video for the Tom Waits version.. Another train-themed song I like is Elton John's 'Runaway Train' w/ Eric Clapton on guitar...
