  1. Got the new Automobile in the mail today..there's a multipage Pontiac ad, incl. the Torrent, G6 GXP 'street edition' and the G8...lots of G8 pics, and interestingly, the rear photos show no badging at all...
  2. Yes..it will be interesting to see what things are like then..I'll be ready to retire then..
  3. Modern diesels can get 55 mpg...even old diesels got that (my '84 Escort diesel got 55 mpg highway). But to get a fleet average that high is another thing...
  4. You mean $7k less....in ANY comparison, the BMW is always more expensive (the 3-series was 47.7k and the G37 was 39.5 EST). A friend of mine just bought a G37 last week...sharp car..I rode in it Sat. night..seemed very tight and smooth..
  5. It's pointless to argue with him...he has his own twisted agenda and world view.
  6. What amazes me is that there are people that find such nonsense cool or attractive...
  7. GM right now has a few cars that appeal to me...the new CTS and the G8 are cars I would seriously consider... I also like the Kappas, the Enclave, and the Corvette...
  8. So? They are still GMs...and Pontiac only has one Holden..they also have a Toyota-based product, a Chevy based product, etc..
  9. Perfect for dictators to recieve their crowds and rap stars to arrive at clubs in..
  10. I've had a few people comment on my '87 Mustang GT and one guy offered to buy it at a car show... I realized a while back that it was getting to be a collectible rather than just another '80s Mustang. A few years ago I started realizing that I didn't see as many 5.0s around as I used to, and at a car show realized that pretty much anytime I see a late '80s 5.0 they are worn out or modified (often tastelessly, IMHO). Mine is in original, one owner condition--original paint, wheels, interior..only 63k miles..
  11. I'd recommend it to any fan of the Boss..
  12. I doubt it..probably just random psychos or kids wanting to build Donks or lowriders..
  13. Good cause...I know what you mean about being cold...I wear my tuque all the time in the winter, even indoors... but I'd rather shave my head than have the graying horseshoe-shaped hairstyle...
  14. Very good..I'm enjoying it..

  16. I kind of like the wheels..I esp. like how the tires have sidewalls rather the rubber bands show cars often have. The shaved door handles are a lame customizing trick from the 50s that should have stayed there, imho.. Too many speakers...4900 watts doesn't make sense in an SUV (but would work well in a basement home theatre)

    IS-F vs. RS4

I read the C&D article... pretty good overall....this is how I would rank 'em also, based on all the articles I've read about it, the M3 seems the most focused and entertaining... (it's the one I want, but it's become too pricey for me..)
  18. Would be nice, but in the US, GM markets Chevy as the brand for FWD volume cars... (with the exception of the Corvette).
  19. Wierd... a situation like that is when I'm glad I keep pepper spray in my car... probably should get a taser also.

  21. at home now William Orbit-Pieces in a Modern Style, in the car--Foo Fighters-One by One
  22. Yeah.. every year the fall and spring time change throw me off for a week or so...
  23. I always feel strange every year when the time changes..fall is worst, since when my alarm goes off tommorow at 5:30am it will really be 4:30...ugh.
  24. I wonder why Pontiac would want to associate it's brand with a no talent ass clown felon like Fiddy...it's doesn't do anything to improve the brand image.
  25. The Sebring is exported to the UK and presumably elsewhere in Europe...
