  1. cross roads
  2. I'm sure once the G8 is on sale people will be ordering parts from OZ (or Aussie ebaY) and retrofitting their cars....it would be cool to replace the Pontiac emblems with Holden ones as well..
  3. Yes, and I'm sure American fishing/whaling companies do as bad or worse..
  4. Interesting...I didn't realize the GMC brand existed outside of NA.
  5. I have no idea what's in TPs around here (probably pickups)...let alone where the TPs are...they have scary people in them, I think.
  6. Yes, and So Cal is and has been for decades THE car culture capital of the US.. I don't see this being a big deal, it's kind of a public nuisance law, like fining morons that blast their lame rap music too loudly out of their cars. Squeeling the tires, doing burnouts, etc on public streets is immature and unprofessional, after all..
  7. That's a sweet wagon..very sleek.
  8. That's one thing I noticed in the pics of the MKS...the fenders and hood seem to be pretty high off the ground and they meet the A-pillar pretty high...
  9. Most excellent!!!
  10. It's just hard for me to believe Hyundai is going to be building RWD models....I've long viewed Hyundai and Kia as purveyors of cheap 'n nasty FWD generic transportation modules...this is quite a change.
  11. Very cool photography...reminds me of some of the more dramatic pics I've seen in Top Gear and Evo. Sweet car, also.

    HaHaHa?

A vacation day (I'm taking the whole week off) at the end of December..that's all it is to me. I enjoyed the traditions as a kid (gifts, trees, cookies, family get together, etc) but couldn't care less now. I'm just looking forward to some fun in the sun that week...
  13. It's a low volume halo car for the brand..better than the generic FWD rentals Pontiac has now...isn't Pontiac supposed to be about 'Excitement'? A RWD V8 sports sedan certainly provides that..
  14. Old news...it's been that way for a long time, hasn't it?..what some refer to as 'divisions' are more accurately 'brands'...
  15. Those numbers are pretty weak for all of them...they really should offer these B-segment subcompacts with diesels...then they would get really good mileage.
  16. If I were really hung up on gas prices or had a really long commute, I wouldn't mind having a diesel again...my old Escort got over 50 mpg on the highway and over 45 around town.
  17. Whatever...several model names (Commodore, Caprice, Statesman, etc), one platform.
  18. Hmmm..well, that's taking it to extremes...I definitely don't like the large slab side with tiny windows trend that so many cars have today..
  19. I only like the good stuff from Holden...the RWD models...I couldn't care less about the FWD sh*t...
  20. I've had good luck w/ Toshibas as well.... when I went to an HD TV (Toshiba 52 inch DLP) for my living room a couple of years ago, I got a Toshiba upconvert DVD model (and put my 1999 Sony 5 disc DVD player in the bedroom w/ my old Sony TV). I'm still waiting to see which becomes dominant before I get an HD or Blu-Ray DVD player.. I still have my 1997-vintage Sony VCR, Sony 5-disc CD player, Sony dual cassette deck, and Sony record player (anyone here heard of vinyl LPs?) in my home theater setup, but rarely use those types of media much anymore...
  21. A compact 4cyl and V6 rwd coupe named Formula (not G4) would be great for the Pontiac brand...and one for Chevy called Monza.
  22. Ahh..so you are going to push for more crappy Daewoos sold globally as Chevrolets... how exciting.
  23. Any older (10-20 yrs old or more) full size domestic pickup, worn, with confederate flag stickers or NRA stickers...
  24. Check Avis sales..I'm sure you can get a good deal there..(they were a big buyer of GPs).
  25. My mom has a '84 Sony Betamax...still works.. she uses it some, my folks bought a ton of movies on Beta before the VHS era.. (she a late adopter--finally got a DVD player a couple of years ago).
