  7. Outside the Chevrolet event. I've never driven one, have you?
  8. You can follow along with the events at the 2012 New York Auto Show four ways: 1. Follow @CheersnGears on twitter 2. Like the CheersandGears.com facebook page 3. Add CheersandGears.com to your circle on Google+ 4. Subscribe to this thread by clicking "Follow" in the upper right of the thread window. Methods 1 - 3 will be the most real time updates. This thread will eventually get some, but not all, of the updates shown in the first three. It is still a PIA to upload pictures to threads via mobile phone.
  9. So you are saying Michigan roads are not for cars just trucks and suv's? I know based on pictures that the roads are bad, but I would think the axel should be able to handle a little pounding before the marbles let loose. Hah, oh....it's not just a little pounding around here. We gots no money for roads in these here parts. Or anything else for that matter. usually you take the pounding after you grindr
  10. Yeah, not my choice...but if Google gets their way, it will be a reality soon on some roads, I suspect... Google is already planning on doing advertising based on the background noises it can hear on whatever device you happen to have with you. Sound like you have a leak in the exhaust in your Jeep Cherokee there... better show you some Midas Muffler banners.
  11. Livery was happy with 1WD with all of those non-LSD RWD Town Cars running around. Livery doesn't care what wheels drive the car as long as the car is durable. That said, I don't think the XTS will hold up like the Town Car did but it also isn't a truck frame with a Rubber-Lux interior either.
  12. Hopefully you pointed her to this review also
  13. I don't know how someone could own one of these and not drive it.
  14. just for private messages?
  15. The "gold standard" just got a standard 4-cylinder.
  16. It might gain small amount of weight, but I think all manufacturers, not just GM, have gotten religion about vehicle weight.
  17. If any will survive, it will be the Escalade (even if just in spirit but not name) for as long as there is a Suburban.
  18. I upgraded us to the newest version of IP.Board and IP.Content today. Please report any bugs in this thread.
  19. I don't know...maybe 3000-3200? I had assumed the ATS sedan would be 3500 or more, but if it's 3400 that's good...GM isn't known for lightweight, that's why I'm skeptical..anyway, it's all academic as we have no idea if anything like the 130R will be built... Don't assume... look up the numbers. The ATS is the lightest car in its class at just under 3400lbs on the base model.
  20. Why do you think it would be 500lbs heavier? I doubt GM could make a compact RWD model under 3000lbs...I suspect the small Alphas will be more like 3400-3500lbs... What are you calling small? You just named the weight range for the ATS sedan. I was thinking of something the size of the Code 130R, if they did something like that... So... just how much do you expect the Code 130R to weigh if the ATS Sedan is 3400lbs?
  21. Better use of the Enclave tailgate, moving the licence plate from the bumper. fixed. To me, interior and exterior, this is an Enclave with a nose job.
  22. It hauls just as much cargo as a Tahoe but doesn't have the towing. You're looking at this from the wrong end. The Traverse is the future of the Tahoo/Suburban for people who don't have to tow. But you are going to get your wish, the next gen of Lambdas are getting downsized too.
