  1. The E-class saved your butt MB.
  2. An International in beautiful unmolested condition. White and "That Ugly '70" green with a cap on the bed. Looked a lot like this one but not jacked up. Grill was painted white though. Has anyone seen one of these yet? Chrysler called, they want their grill back.
  3. I love the '58 Olds. In '57, I'd really rather have a Buick.
  4. You know what would be a really funny picture.... the GM 5.5 sitting next to a MB 5.5....... just so we could see the size difference.I bet SMK would lawl all over it.
  5. I'm surprised Toyota did that well.....
  6. I do agree with the reviewer's comment about the greek column sized A pillars that seem to be present on every single GM car these days.
  7. Hummer might not be done yet.
  8. I think you're confusing two C&G members with each other. This would actually be the second Avalanche sold to a C&G member this week.
  9. It's a smaller displacement version of the 3.0/3.6, but tuned for 300hp and 295 ft/lbs of torque. It was originally developed for the Saab 9-3x and will also be used on the Saab 9-4x. It's got a lot of grunt down low. Regarding the transmission lag questions: Could you describe what you're talking about? I've not experienced anything like that, however the Turbo version does use a different transmission than the 3.0 version.
  10. Hudson.... with step down design....
  11. Well, I never really had any problem with rear visibility in the CTS Wagon. Rear visibility in the SRX is a little small through the center mirror, but the large side mirrors make up for it. The SRX has more cargo room than the CTS wagon, trunk area is wider and deeper.
  12. You Tell Us: Discussion: What defunct domestic vehicle would you like to see brought back? Why and How?
  13. Chrysler Imperial, but not the hideous concept they had a few years ago.... Maybe even the brand as a whole, above Chrysler Continental, but you'd have to go back to the 60's for the concept... wouldn't want some Fox body or Taurus body re-do. Should be the crown of the Lincoln line and compete with the S-class and rumored baby Roller. Should shun 7-series "handling prowes" as beneath it. Eagle Talon. I wanted one of these so bad as a teenager. My dream cars in highschool were Cutlass Supreme Convertible or Eagle Talon. I know the Talon was just an Eclipse rebadge, but there were enough styling differences that in my eye Eagle just did better. Dodge Neon. I know they were never class leading, but Dodge sold a crapload of these things and it helped to keep Chrysler solvent. If there was one single mistake that really sealed Chrysler's fate, it was the canceling of the Neon and replacing it with the bull dog ugly Caliber. I'd like to see Chrysler solvent again, so a new Neon would be a good start. Toyota Supra, because competition for the Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger is a good thing. Dodge Stealth/Mitsubishi 3000GT, ditto above. Ram Charger, because I'd like to stay on Camino's good side after recommending two FWDers and two foreign cars. Lincoln Towncar, It's not dead yet, but might as well be. Remake it as a modern car... and it could be used as the short wheel base version of the Continental mentioned above.
  14. 4 Ions in one family?
  15. Circa 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Take a look at the door panel wood insert.
  16. It's been done. The GM 3.4 DOHC twincam comes to mind. The issues that engine is known for have more to do with packaging than the fact that it was based on a CIB engine.
  17. Buy: Ford, Suzuki, Hyundai/Kia, Subaru Hold: GM, Nissan, VW/Audi, BMW Sell: Chrysler, Honda/Acura, Jaguar/LR
  18. Post it in the member's marketplace section with pictures
  19. Just make it up like an excellent craigslist ad. Basically consolidate all of your posts about it into one post.
  20. It's been listed barely a week! Tell you what, if you write up a full, proper listing in one post, I can syndicate it out to Twitter, Facebook, and probably get it on a Cadillac forum.
  21. Wow! Neato! I've never seen one of those
  22. Costco has a version of the bamboo that is a floating style floor also.... but it's more expensive, but it has the pad built in
  23. I'd pick the FWB over her car any day of the week, so would my check book.... and I doubt I'm alone on that one.
  24. HUMMER SHELVED! GM Confirms Hummer Sale Dead Discussion: Hummer sale dead, GM Confirms
  25. HUMMER SHELVED! GM Confirms Hummer Sale Dead DETROIT – General Motors today announced that Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machines Co., Ltd. (Tengzhong) was unable to complete the acquisition of HUMMER. As a result, GM will begin the orderly wind-down of the HUMMER operations. "One year ago, General Motors announced that we were going to divest HUMMER, as part of focusing our efforts on Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac going forward. We have since considered a number of possibilities for HUMMER along the way, and we are disappointed that the deal with Tengzhong could not be completed," said John Smith GM vice president of corporate planning and alliances. "GM will now work closely with HUMMER employees, dealers and suppliers to wind down the business in an orderly and responsible manner." GM will continue to honor HUMMER warranties, while providing service support and spare parts to current HUMMER owners around the world.
