  1. The reason I don't watch faux news isn't because I don't want to hear the other side, it's because they and their guests so frequently get basic provable facts grossly wrong and then hang their commentary off of those falsehoods. In the politics forum I have a video posted of Rudi Giulianni, on Fox, demonstrating that he has clearly lost his mind.
  2. You must be from north of I-80 if you think that about western PA
  3. She's a show woman... a diva to be. A few years ago, Cher issued a challenge to Christina A., Britney S. and the like, to try and one up her after the last tour that was frequently referred to as "Cher 'de Sole'" The challenge "Follow this you bitches!" Out of those other train wrecks, I think Lady Gaga is the only one who has any hope of coming close. My impression of her is that Lady Gaga is a character and nothing more, she seems relatively down to earth when not in character.
  4. Well.... what was it!?
  5. This is the first time I've ever heard of Mancrunch and the poor production quality of the ad make me think CBS was being punked.
  6. an act.
  7. Yes. That's how building (or rebuilding in this case) infrastructure works.
  8. Certainly could have done worse and gotten a Camry.... oh.... wait...... Sure, do an interactive review of it. I'm curious if the interior really is as bad as it looks in pictures. From pictures, it looks like a Pontiac G6 MCE on the inside.
  9. For those of you who think Apple products are somehow more reliable or last longer than PC/Non-apples.... people pay more for Apple and also buy an extended Applecare warranty because they are notoriously more expensive to repair. I'd never spend more than $200 at an Apple store without also springing for Applecare.
  10. You've gotta back your $h! up. Don't say "just google it". That's not how it works here. You make a claim, you back it up with links.
  11. No Flash.... meaning no Youtube, no Youporn. Why get a Kindle or nook? E-ink is readable on the beach, back lit screens, no matter what they are lit by, aren't readable in direct sunlight. e-ink is much easier on your eyes. Kindles and nooks also have free cellular wifi, no data plan to pay. I have a Lenovo laptop that is marginally larger, 4 gigs of ram Core2Duo processor, Win7 64 bit, full size keyboard, and 260gig HD that only cost $135 more than the very base iPad does. Think Macbook Air at less than half the cost.
  12. You really have this doomsday scenario with the FWB don't you? Thousands of old LT-1s start up just fine every day while thousands of brand new Toyotas' accelerators stick to the carpet. Having a newer vehicle is no guarantee of starting every morning and getting you to work on time in once piece.
  13. My financial situation has actually improved substantially since this whole thing started with a further jump in improvement coming shortly. If anything we're planning on spending more in the next two quarters.
  14. FORD POSTS FULL YEAR PROFIT FOR 2009 Our congratulations goes out to Ford being the first domestic automaker to get back in the black. 15. While all of that is most likely true, the "Toyota always builds reliable, safe, well engineered vehicles better than anyone else" reputation is gone.
  16. Do you think today is the tipping point for Toyota's reputation?
  17. I called the iPad an "iPod Touch De Lux LS Brougham" on twitter and got all sorts of hell for it.
  18. My new Lenovo laptop is slightly thicker, slightly heavier, has 9 hours of battery life in the real world, real keyboard, 4 gig ram, 250gig hard drive, real processor, and a real OS. Cost $635 plus shipping.
  19. Enterprise, National, Alamo (same company) and Avis, Budget (ditto), have removed Toyotas from their fleets.
  20. this. If you to plan on selling the FWB, let me know
  21. and yet the FWB is likely still more maneuverable.
  22. Na
  23. Isn't that about 85% of their North American volume?
  24. Whenever Albert tries getting bossy while I'm driving, I call him Hyacinth to shut him up
