Major price increase for 3-series coupe
They appear to be backing away from that plan for the 3-series.... waaaay too much brand equity in having a 3-series

More E85
Sheetz anounces E85 to be available in Western PA this is pretty big for us in Pittsburgh. Sheetz is one of the largest gas chains/Fast food restraunts in the area <with ooooh so good shmuffins>. The other major chain which is trying to compete with Sheetz on food is GetGo. I'm hoping they'll respond and add E85 capability as well.

SAAB Sonett Greenlighted
dumb move GM. This should be a Cadillac KLR. Make it a baby XLR with a HF 2.8 litre and a HF 3.6 litre KLR-V. Since the 3.6 is getting direct injection, that could me a factory stock Kappa with 300hp.

GM won't revive employee pricing
having residuals rise should help cheapen leases without the need for <as much> subsidizing....

I tried not to laugh..
I remember that commercial

DTS - the "standard" Cadillac
I've seen fake roofs on: ES 300c G35 <gasp> Lexus LS CTS I've seen vogues on all of the above plus: Lexus GS MB C-class, E-Class, S-Class BMW 7-series Everything in the Cadillac line minus the XLR and SRX I've seen continental kits on: Avalanche Seville Deville Town Car <but really, this just is pre-determined to have ugly crap tacked on> There is plenty of ugly for everyone.

On the Blacktop
Except that the LaCross and Lucerne are substantially better than the pairs of cars they respectively replaced. How is turning a Century or Regal into a LaCross going to send loyal owners to the competition? What better time to upgrade from that doudy Century to a new Lacross? You can get your Lucerne in V8 trim instead of just s/c V6. I haven't checked recently, but aren't the new sedans outselling their pairs of predecessors anyway? Bonneville... oh yeah, there was a big seller. Do you think we'd be having this conversation if this were DCX and Dodge just dumped Intrpid for Magnum and Charger? Sure, you're losing Bonneville, GTO and GrandPrix, but you're gaining G8 and a new GTO, both of which look to be substantially superior even at this early stage. I'll give him this one. The GM mega-center is just a few miles away from my house and does sell Cadillac. Due to the very poor service from them, I drive 20 miles north to a Cadillac "boutique" dealer where I purchased and service my car. I much prefer the service of a single brand dealer to the megadealer. Plus, the deals are no different.

JENNIFER ANISTON and VINCE VAUGHAN
Apparently her resale value is similar to a Daewoo.

More realworld photos of the 2007 SRX interior.
Oh... that must be it. I should have gone for a VW/Audi like my partner's Passat with all the interior bits falling off.

How about this for a commercial?
I've been really impressed with the "paintbrush" series of ads from Infinity. If they hadn't already been done, I'd say pontiac should do something like that.

Information about Renault
A minivan can't extend your penis or show off your bling anywhere nearly as well as the Escalade can.

General Automotive Question
Oddly, there is a device out there that'll do that..... at least for the occupants of the vehicle.

THE SEQUEL
I thought this was going to be a follow up to the plane on a grocery belt thread.

Ever been to counseling?
I've been. I've battled the depression demon for years. I went to a therapist for about a year and every time I went, she'd increase my anti-depressents. I don't think she was very effective as anything other than a prescription writer. Eventually the anti-depressents got so strong that I was in a fog every day. I would get lost at work <we only had two hallways>. I would get in the car to go someplace and forget where I was going. One time I was dazed and backed my car through a fence. All of that, and the depression was still there. Over a particularly depressing christmas holiday in Miami, I was talking to my mom about my situation. She decided she wanted me to call my therapist and ask for another increase in the drugs. At that point I lost it completely. I resolved to never take another anti-depressant.* I got back to Pittsburgh. Joined a gym and hired a personal trainer and began working out daily. I changed my diet to a much healthier one. We have very little sunlight here in Pittsburgh and sunlight is considered a treatment for depression. So I bought a tanning package and began going 2-3 times a week. I also made sure I got enough sleep at night.... which wasn't hard to do since I was working out daily, my body would force me to sleep. After about a month of this, I felt better than I ever had. My opinion? Therapists that simply prescribe drugs are quacks. If you go to a therapist and they suggest drugs in the first session, that should send you walking back out the door. Many times, sitting down and evaluating what you are doing to yourself and your body can be more revealing than going to a therapist. *One should never quit anti-depressent drugs cold turkey. What I did was dangerous. Always consult your doctor before making changes to your drug regimen.

More realworld photos of the 2007 SRX interior.
uhm.. I did have the choice between a CTS or a 9-3, <amongst many others> and it was the interior of the 9-3 that I didn't care for. Knock the CTS all you want, but it's very ergonomic and has held up quite well, but most of all, I feel very comfortable in the CTS. I never did figure out what the full numeric keypad in the saab was for since it apparently didn't interface with the Onstar.

"Recognition Of The GM Name"
Actually, I was being sarcastic..... I'm much more in the divisional camp. I feel that platform sharing is ok... in the same division. at least on the car level, I don't think there'd be a point for trucks. For example, Cadillac gets all of it's cars on Sigma. Buick gets all it's cars on Zeta Pontiac gets all it's cars on Kappa Chevy gets all it's cars on Epsilon or Delta <except corvette> and maybe picks a plateform from one other division for it's top sedan/coupe. Chevy, GMC, Cadillac and Hummer trucks/suvs would continue as is.....

"Recognition Of The GM Name"
How about getting rid of the "Brands" all together. You no longer buy a Buick Lucerne or Cadillac DTS.... you buy a GM Lucerne or a GM Lucerne Touring Sedan. You no longer buy a Chevy Malibu, Maxx, Pontiac G6, or Saab 9-3. Buy a GM Malibu, Malibu Maxx, Malibu Sport, or Malibu EuroSport You no longer buy a Chevy Impala, Pontiac Grand Prix, or Buick LaCross You buy a GM Impala, Impala SS, or Impala LS

X3 Gets Sexy? Well, Maybe a Little.
I can drive it all day and all night, still not going to change it's looks. <unless I run it into a pole a few times.> e.i. it looks like a 3-series wagon on stilts.... and that the tailgate fails to match the rest of the rear in anyway except color.

W-body struts
GM Goodwrench plus gives you lifetime warrenty if you do it at the dealer.... but at 250k miles, I'm not sure that'd be a worry.
