Oh, aren't they? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_Defense_League#Terrorism On December 12, 2001, JDL leader Irv Rubin and JDL member Earl Krugel were charged with planning a series of bomb attacks against the Muslim Public Affairs Council in Los Angeles In 2002, in France, attackers from Betar and Ligue de Défense Juive (LDJ) violently assaulted Jewish demonstrators from Peace Now, journalists, police officers (one of whom was stabbed), and Arab bystanders.[78] At least two of the suspects in the 2010 murder of a French Muslim Saïd Bourarach appeared to have ties to the French chapter of the JDL.[79] In 2011, Israeli daily Haaretz reported members of the "French branch of Jewish terror group coming to Israel 'to defend settlements'." In 2013, a French Arab man was critically injured in a "revenge attack" by LDJ, sparking calls for further attacks against the Jews and a condemnation of the militant group by the French Jewry umbrella group CRIF;[81] as of 2013, there have been least 115 violent incidents were attributed to LDJ "soldiers" since the group's registration in France in 2001, including many vigilante reprisals to antisemitic attacks In June 2014, two LDJ supporters were sentenced to prison in France for targeting the car of Jonathan Moadab, the Jewish co-founder of the blog "Cercle des Volontaires (Circle of Volunteers)", with a home-made bomb in September 2012.[83] In October 2015, around 100 people brandishing JDL flags, and Israeli flags and letting off flares attacked the Agence France Presse building in Paris. Around 12 of them, armed with batons, assaulted David Perrotin, a leading French journalist. All were linked to the Jewish Defense League (JDL). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wisconsin_Sikh_temple_shooting On August 5, 2012, a massacre took place at the gurdwara (Sikh temple) in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, where 40-year-old Wade Michael Page fatally shot six people and wounded four others.[3][4] Page committed suicide by shooting himself in the head after he was shot in the stomach by a responding police officer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Army_of_God_(United_States) Army of God (AOG) is a Christian terrorist organization that has engaged in the use of anti-abortion violence in the United States to fight against abortion. In addition to numerous property crimes, the group has committed acts of kidnapping, attempted murder, and murder.

I have my doubts about anyone who claims to be speaking "the truth" about/against any religion... and those same people would protest if their own religion was judged by the actions of a tiny minority.

Cadillac News: 'Book by Cadillac' Is A Vehicle Subscription Service
Drew Dowdell replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
" The $1,500 monthly fee covers insurance, registration, and maintenance of the vehicle. " You can't lease an Escalade Platinum for $1500 a month including insurance, $850 a month gets you the mid-range model. . And any S-Class with a $1500 a month lease that includes insurance is going to be a mid-range model at best. Also... you can get a new Escalade Platinum every week and still pay just the $1500 a month or switch to a CTS-V next week, or a CT6 Platinum Plug-In Hybrid for a long trip the week after. Can't do that in an S-Class lease for 39 months. More than likely, it will be sold to a subsidiary of GM, operated by them, but branded by Cadillac. It couldn't be sold new. It's like GM's car sharing service Maven.... it is its own company, but owned by GM and GM sells Maven the cars.- 25 replies

December 2016: General Motors Co.

I like the XTS looks. I like the air suspension. I like the V6 Turbo (not a fan of the base V6, not enough torque for such a heavy car with AWD). I like the space. -

I dunno... but the current Vette platform is fantastic and would make an excellent basis for a new XLR with a proper Cadillac level interior in it. -

I guess I'm the only one who likes the Continental, XTS, and CT6 in no particular order. -
There is a suspension tuning difference between the Verano base and Verano Turbo. So just because you've driven a 2.4 doesn't mean you know the tuning of the 2.0t. Again I'm not saying it's GTI levels, but it's a lot better than people give the Verano credit for because they're just assuming base and turbo are the same suspension....They're not.
-
It was just another option. The Verano has more power and a slightly more premium feel due to the quiet of the interior. I'd put the GTI ahead on the material quality in some spots, but not all. The Verano isn't as sporty as the GTI, but still fairly sporty and has a comfort level the GTI won't match. Getting CPO Verano with the warranty pushed out to 100k miles isn't a bad deal either. Neither are bad choices.... It just comes down to preference.

What the heck is wrong with the Corvette platform? It's the king of the game for the price and a great baseline to start a Cadillac from. -

I would rather not get into the personal nature of some of this stuff in here.... but the pattern is there and it is that drastic... as I said, often the horrible happens on the same day as the great. Just yesterday is an excellent example for me.
-
The nice thing about the Verano is that they depreciate so fast you could get a really nice used Turbo model for cheap. Example kinda near you. You'd have it 50% paid off just from your settlement. And the turbos are far far better drivers than anyone ever gave them credit for. You want great power with a touch of Euro handling for cheap... there's your car.

Cadillac needs the ATS, but it needs a major refresh -
If you prefer... it's just an observation of a pattern.

No need to fight over me boys.... there's more than enough of me to go around. I've had a really rough few years that have involved a lot of personal and professional struggle. The few times I've had some really positive news... something that could potentially dramatically change my life for the easier, I nearly immediately get equally bad news.

LOL! No... it's just about 30 miles from my house.

It has the unfortunate benefit of being correct the vast majority of the time.

It's gotten to the point where when something good happens, I just automatically assume something else terrible is going to happen.
