  1. My issue is that Chrysler, Toyota, and Ford are sneaking in a bunch of big recalls too and getting very very little press about it. It is something I need to address here when I get a couple of seconds to breath.
  2. Does anyone do 0-60 in 4.3 seconds in regular driving? When that becomes relevant to sales I guess that will be the ELR's issue... but in the meantime I think its poor sales performance has more to do with the fact that it is a $79000 coupe.
  3. At $64k you're at 300c SRT8 level... or for another $3k you're into a base Maserati Ghibli.

About a week to go before vacation.... I'm just coasting at work until then. No travel and leaving early every day.
  5. It's not that... I just don't think an S60L will sell here that well.

By making sure I go to bed early enough ahead of when I need to get up for work to get the full amount of sleep..... and making sure I get play time ahead of that to wear me out good.
  7. A long wheel base S60? For the US? Not sure thats the answer you're looking for Volvo.

Thanks... and welcome back. Right now I'm just trying to catch up on some sleep. I'm home for 2 weeks before a vacation trip to Germany and I'm making sure I get 8 or 9 hours a night.
  9. That comes from turning the engine 90 degrees. The Cadillac ATS with the 2.5 liter makes 202 Horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque in longituinal configuration, so I guess this rating for the Colorado and Canyon isn't that much of a surprise.
  10. One of the few Asian vehicles where I love the styling and wouldn't change a thing.
  11. Yet PA with self pump has higher prices than NJ with full service
  12. "The Beast" just rolled through downtown Pittsburgh right below my office window.
  13. I was going to suggest that Chevy or GMC do a commercial version of the Lambda.... but at the rate they are selling, they are probably pretty close to max capacity on that plant.
  14. Some back end server upgrades today to prep us for the upcoming software updates. Your C&G experience may flicker a bit for the next couple hours.
  15. I think all of the mainstream brands could be under one dealership with the super premium having their own dealerships. It was a mistake to make Chrysler into a true mainstream brand, they should have moved up to a premium American brand that straddles Buick and Cadillac. The lower priced 200 should have been the Avenger and a properly restyled 200 with features and appointments befitting a $27,995 price point should have been the Chrysler brand's base sedan. The 200 is an excellent car, but it is trying to be too many things to too many people with a price range of $21,000 to $38,000.
  16. The Miata's gone this long doing what it does. The FR-S can do the same.
  17. Audi was actually one of the first to do the "stepped CVT" feel. It was a simple programming update that came out mid-production when they first introduced CVTs in the A4 FWD models. If you bought one of the earliest A4 CVTs, it drove just like any other CVT. If you bought a later one, it would have artificial stepping programming in there to make it feel like a 6-speed automatic. If you wanted, you could go back to Audi to have that new programming removed. A CVT without stepping is the most fuel efficient type of transmission possible as long as it is programmed to take advantage of the engine's power properly. Introducing artificial stepping only diminishes that efficiency... and I would imagine also slows acceleration slightly.
  18. better reliability will do that. Still doing my best to keep the average age up.
  19. I wonder if I could go to Subaru and have the transmission reprogrammed to NOT act like an automatic. It would probably improve performance and fuel efficiency.
  20. and I bet that isn't even what the engine is fully capable of if GM unleashed more.
