  1. yikes! too pricey for the range limitation...
  2. Oops, thanks I was thinking OHC not OHV, but still I question OHC engines as I do not see them being that great. OHC engines are easily superior for inline engines. V engines is where the benefits become a lot less clear.
  3. as soon as pricing is released, I plan an article....
  4. There is no way a diesel costs $7500 more to produce..... just no way at all.
  5. I liked all of the bustle backs.... I owned an '85 Continental.
  6. This from a guy who's manliness is so fragile, it can be shattered by a tiny Eco badge on the trunk of a Cruze.
  7. I hate crippleware... It's not like there is any increased costs for Tesla... certainly not $10k.
  8. Eh... Cyprus banks were involved in Russian money laundering.... their issues are a bit different than the rest of the EU.
  9. The costs of the 2-mode are far too high and really adds nothing to towing ability. A re-tuned 3.6 twin turbo with the focus moved to torque would shut the Ford folks up pretty fast though.
  10. I doubt most of the V6 Ecoboost buyers are taxing the engines too much. It's just an F-150 still, it's not going into the Super Duty's. However, this title won't be held by GM for long. Apparently the Hemi + 8-Speed Ram will be beating both Ford and Chevy.
  11. The SS really should have been the Impala with it's more sporty yet luxurious personality. The new Impala should have been called Caprice.
  12. I like both actually, and both could have their place in a strong GM.
  13. You may have had these combined fuel economy numbers 15 years ago, but you also had a lot less power in engines capable of them and a lot less safety equipment in the vehicle to lug around. Even in 2002, the 5.3 was only putting out about 295 horsepower and 315 ft-lb of torque. Jumping from 315 ft-lb to 383 ft-lb is a really phenomenal jump in power.
  14. At least from this post... your theories surrounding Cyprus is a bit off.... Audi isn't after production capacity... they're after Alfa Romeo.
  15. The CrossTrek is a good little car for the target market. It gives Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix owners something to move up into without feeling out of place.
  16. Audi has been after Alfa for a few years now.. this gets them closer to that goal.
  17. Aside from the paint, what is neat about it? There are bunches of them out here.
  18. Which is what the A3 name would go to... if Audi's naming was consistent. This should be an A2/S2
  19. Happy Birthday
  20. Steering wheel and logo were the giveaway.
  21. Well it's a '94 or older. Mirrors say that much. It could be a '94 and have the LT-1.
  22. I'll ask the fleet people about getting one.
  23. something doesn't jive here. How does a 1991 Caprice have a factory installed 1995 LT-1?
  24. This will be an instant classic for anyone with the checkbook to spring for one. Low production numbers + 30 months of production max. Buy it and stick it in a barn.
