  1. OMG, I feel sorry for anyone that thinks $15/hr is excessive or thinks performance based bonuses are unreasonable. What I find unreasonable is the golden parachutes for executives and the millions of dollars in stock options granted to management.
  2. The chrome hinges are tacky but if they refine the design a bit this could be a real hit.
  3. Where I work Audi's are driven by soccer moms. Audi has a real snooze factor with its bland round styling from 10 years ago.
  4. The front overhang gives the impression of a front wheel drive car. I hope thats just padding!
  5. Each employee gave up about $10,000 to $30,000 in concessions since 2005. They are asking for $10K to help recover some of the losses. They should definitely get something for agreeing to the new contract. I bet everyone in this forum has pocketed far more than $10K in bonus money over the last five years. This isn't unreasonable. Its not like the multi-million dollar bonuses that GM management gets or the billions of dollars that the crooks on wall street take every year.
  6. I like the idea of Saab as an employee owned company. Maybe the union can do a better job with company than Spyker. Or maybe the Swedish government can take it over like the US did with GM.
  7. Mistake or not, pulling a gun on innocent people is a crime. For all those that think this is so great, what if the guys in the car had a gun and killed the old lady. Would they have been justified since they were being robbed at gunpoint? at the very least, the cops should have confiscated the crazy old lady's gun!
  8. As with 85 percent of your posts here, I think you just chime in to say something contradictory to the consensus view and nothing more. Well, if I didn't you guys would be telling GM to build diesel hatchbacks, with manual transmissions, stripped down interiors, and niche vehicles. Someone has to speak up to all that!
  9. GM was doing so great without him! I hope he doesn't mess it up.
  10. Well they are proceeding with the Omega platform not the Ciel concept. I imagine that the new flagship will be a sedan.
  11. Well Hyundai has to miss the mark every now and then. It's awful.
  12. I really dislike the gimmicky bulging taillights on all of the latest chevys. they sucked on the camaro, will make the otherwise beautiful malibu tacky and cheapen the look of this truck.
  13. I love this car! It's obnoxious in the best possible way. The face needs a wider grille or bigger headlights but come on there's no way that those skinny headlights would ever make it into a production car. Please keep exploring this concept. This is a car that I would aspire to own! OMG I just looked again... pure lust fills my heart. I haven't felt this way about a Cadillac design since I saw the sixteen for the first time. WOW.
  14. Are you seriously suggesting this is about trying to blatantly break the law?!? The waivers are there for a reason. Some vehicles should NOT need to follow the FMVSS. Pagani is talking about bringing 5 cars to this country. Engineering an airbag system for their particular car that is passenger weight sensitive is not a trivial task. Its not like they are running "cheap old technology"... its a case where they need to completely revamp the system for a minor feature... and Zonda is going to build 40 a year. Lets say its a $5 mil project... thats adding $128K to each car. And why? The Pagani is a frigging RACECAR... With few exceptions, its probably the safest place to be while crashing at 140 mph... completely unlike some 2011 minivan with 22 airbags that actually meet the NHTSA requirements. Having the NHTSA dictate safety to Pagani is like Google taking server farm design suggestions from the Amish. And why suddenly be so safety anal to Pagani? For crying out loud the rental companies are not required to get the recall items fixed on the cars they rent and sell. Thats where the safety problem is in 2011. Personally, I'm tired of the NHTSA and their insane FMVSS. In my opinion, its just our way of locking small, new companies and foreign companies out of our automotive market... and we can still claim to have "free trade". The FMVSS should set some sane minimum requirements... let independent testing organizations, such as IIHS do testing and report on whats safe. Then let the consumer decide. If I'm 7 and can afford a Pagani, I should be smart enough to know that the airbags are going to kill me if I wreck it. OTOH, if the FMVSS is so much about safety... Why on earth are motorcycles and convertibles still legal? Why are cars still allowed to go over 25mph? So what does the NHTSA ruling change? Nothing. Some rich folks will import them without engines and register than as kit cars or something. All the NHTSA funds wasted on this... out the window. Next year the Pagani will be here legally, and slightly more expensively and the NHTSA will claim victory and will start working on new requirements that are total overkill. Personally, I'd rather the NHTSA use their funds on prostitutes than use their money to interfere with my purchasing options. Yeah, I might not be in the market for a Pagani... but I would be in the market for a Holden Ute. wow that was pointless. Really you are going to blame a 7 year old that gets killed because his dad signed a waiver to drive a car without child safe airbags? thats sick. Hopefully they just sell the 5 cars that were destined for the US elsewhere. who cares.
  15. NO the problem is who builds a million dollar car with cheap old technology airbags? They claim a financial hardship exemption and then blame the US government for not approving it? I'm sick of the idiots that blame the government for everything when its idiots that try to work the system to berak the law.
  16. who cares! some rich jerk can't have his toy.
  17. It's already years late. Even a turd car will get people back int the Cadillac showrooms. Not that this is a turd. Just bring it out already!!!!
  18. Since they are already leaking pictures do you think they might reveal it at the LA autoshow? at least reveal the concept and maybe the production version in detroit?
  19. too little too late! a four door hatch? really? they could have at least mad it a sedan,a two door hatch, or a wagon. it looks a**tastic.
  20. When is Chrysler going to get something out of the relationship with Fiat? Fiat is already selling rebranded Chryslers as Lancias and Fiats. When does the USA get something in return?
  21. I thought the Spark was coming to the USA after all.
  22. This exposes the hypocrisy of our nations highest courts. I hope this signals an end to banning so called obscenity on tv. Violence is far worse than a few cuss words or a naked butt on tv. I think the government should stay out of the censorship business entirely if we cant even keep violent video games out of the hands of children.
  23. I'll believe it when I see it. Also, who cares if Alfa comes back at all? They should just badge Alfas as Chrysler models like they are doing with American Chryslers becoming Lancias.
