  1. LOL, compared to the Aztec interior especially! Although the Aztec is interesting, for its uniqueness, it is undoubtedly an interior to be spooked by! Agreed, although some members of this board will consider your comment blasphemy.
  2. Yeah those cars were built like rocks. It is possibly the last 90's Honda that continued unchanged in production until 2004, alongside the NSX. Honda wasn't Honda anymore after they dumped the double-wishbone suspension, the classical Honda interior materials, and switchgear, and the bullet-proof reliability. Now, my mechanic tells me, that most Hondas, after 2000 MY are not what they used to be. Esp, after Honda introduced the new 5 speed automatic transmission, it's been having major problems. It's gotten so bad with their new trannys that this was opened: http://www.hondatransmissionsettlement.com Anyway, I'm currently car hunting for my mom, she needs a nice car to replace her rusting, high mileage 94 Accord. I was seriously considering a 99-04 3.5 RL, like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-3-5RLC...tem330211230942 or http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Leather-Sun...tem320216352882 Black on black preferably What do you think BlackViper?
  3. Agree with the price drop, but "spooked" in what ways is the interior scary?
  4. Very true Why do you think that? I know plenty of people who like domestics. Because the media that you love to bash, is shinning some positive light on the new Malibu.
  5. DUH..... Wonder why the "war" in Iraq started... right... ?
  6. Everyone seem to have such a negative opinion about this car, the question is, HAVE ANY OF YOU SAT IN IT, OR EVEN GONE TO THE EXTENT OF DRIVING IT? I havn't driven it, but I can tell you the RL/Legend has never been a model that was meant for mass production. It is actually a very over-looked vehicle in it's class. It was meant for a limited audience, and loyal Honda fans. The SH AWD is prefect for Canada and the upper states, and it's a vehicle that is suppose to compete with the E-Klasse, and 3 series. Not everyone also wants FWD, nor they want RWD, this is a vehicle for those people who want a well-appointed luxury/sports sedan. Also STOP BASHING IT BECAUSE IT HAS NO V8! Honda never intended to have a V8. This is what I admire about them, they always make vehicles "the honda way". Hence why the Fridgeline and pilot are V6, car based, because they know, and specialize on car-based, 4 cyl, and 6 cyl engineering. The LaCrosse/Allure Sport is a nice vehicle, with awesome performance for the money, but yes it is still a Buick, people who don't know...... don't know that it's a performance model. And as for the Genesis, comparing apples to oranges, the Genesis is more of a competition with everyone. Actually it stands on it's own. It's more for people who want a Lexus GS for a Camry price. We shall see how it performs.
  7. With Chrysler's sketchy electronics, not a good idea!
  8. These things look good in person. If they have a five seater version, it will be a quasi-competition to the mazda 5, at a lower price probably.
  9. Very clean, and in-offensive, VW should style all of Chrysler's products.
  10. Well they weren't really junk. They were actually durable machines.
  11. Communist/ignorant mentality. People like this want only the big three to run the car industry.
  12. Because Japan had a better product, that's why people bought it. People work too hard in this continent and they want to buy things that get their money's worth. They dont' want to buy junk, just because it "supports the local economy", yet the product is always in repair, but that's okay, "I'm support the domestic economy". Japanese electronics were far superior than the American electronics, the Japanese were selling modern TV's in the 80's. Same with it's automobiles, Japan were impoerting little Civics and Corollas in the 70's, and 80's, were good on gas, and didn't break down as often. As a kid I would see only American cars on tow trucks, which was sad, cause it always made me wonder as a young kid car nut, why can't Americans make good cars? Simple, they don't want to, the American mentality of fast and cheap, and quantity over quality production methods destroyed their reputation. US manufacturers are out there to impress wall street and not the customer buying their product. What upsets me is that it took them this long to figure out that it's the product that sells. Now they woke up, and started to pump some money and effort into their products, and are actually making them decent. But it might be too late. Yes there are politics in the car business, but the Japanese just have a different approach to it. They prefer to pump a little more money for parts, instead of cutting back on every single bolt just to make the bean counters happy.
  13. Agreed, or the AXIOM! I see some floating around on the internet. The parts are interchangeable with the Rodeo I think, gotta check it out.
  14. A company who had lots of potential, but collapsed due to poor management, and later product development.
  15. First of all, fix your grammar, second, do some research. The current Camry was released for all of North America, and yes it's doing really good. Especially the hybrid version, since the Federal Government is giving tax breaks for hybrid owners.
  16. Why the hell is everyone getting so political about the car business? Both companies make good products, and CARBIZ, can you please give it up with this "paying off the media" and "Kool-Aid" conspiracy theory BS, I know you're bored at work, I worked at a few car dealerships throughout school, and I know how bored sales guys get. It's getting annoying, if your sales are dropping, maybe it's time to stop blaming Toyota. People buy what they want, and Toyota buyers are repeat buyers, like it or not. Unfortunately, GM vehicles sell on deals, and incentives. As for my comment on getting political, we are car enthusiasts, can't we comment on the products, instead of lashing out politics??? It will be nice to take the blind folds off, and maybe some of you can appreciate cars for what they are, instead of the emblem. MY :twocents:
  17. They should call up GM, for advice of fleeting, they seem to be the experts. (Impala, fleet car of the year) FYI, Toyota does not have unionized plants, therefore if demand drops, so does production. So far production is up because of demand.
  18. What tough year? They're doing fine. They're doing it because the US dollar is weak, and people are jumping the border and shopping for cars in Buffalo, or any other border city.
  19. That's what pisses me off about the beurocratic, bean-counting politics with the domestic manufacturers. GM has a tendency of pricing their products at par with their import competition, and cutting some worthwhile projects. The Koreans don't seem to care, they just go at it with full strength. Maybe GM and others should follow in Hyundai's footsteps of success, and drop their prices and fire their bean-counters.
