  1. I like how she went at it with specific comment rather than blank I hate them statements. One has to wonder when or if people will catch on to their flawed thinking.
  2. Thanks Lori. Good job.
  3. Been there done that. Ours had a major engine oil leak at 60k, and the transmission was going out when we dumped it aroun 65k.
  4. That would be down right sweet. It would be even sweeter if they introduced on the upcoming Ion replacement.
  5. I think it's a given that if they are going forward on a rear wheel drive program the Impala will be there, the question is how soon.
  6. I do like how we gets to the point without throwing punches. When will GM stop doing badge engineering with their trucks?
  7. My wife and I avoid walmart because of their push to get rid of American jobs.
  8. The question is when will they replace these ugly things?
  9. And I'm guessing the magazines will give kudos for toyotas great gas mileage ratings?
  10. Maybe you should reply with, I'm proud to be an American and support the country that supports me.
  11. The small ones would be great for GMs green image, even if they don't sell in the Tahoe like numbers. Sometimes having a certain type of car is not about being the best seller but improving your image. Many complain that GM just doesn't pay attention to the market place by offering over sized gas hogs. With Saturn having the capability to take from Opel they could change this image without much work.
  12. Do the math and you'll find the Cobalt money well spent. We figured out that driving the Cobalt saved us over $100 a month (including depreciation, gas, repairs, maintenance, etc). Even when we just did the basics, gas & car payment, we still found it cheaper to drive the Cobalt vs many older cars (Regal, Roach II, T-Bird, etc).
  13. I'm suprised no one is robbing a bank, or something of the sort, just to get to Autotainment. A chance to rail an STS-V, Vette, Hummer, Tahoe, etc., sounds like a dream come true.
  14. As I was checking out the Opel / Vauxhall website I noticed some cars that could be really hot here (though not all of us on this board would be into them). Corsa - perfect for people who look for high gas mileage Agila - Great for those foreign car buyers into boxes (a new hit item, xb?) Meriva - Perfect scion, small Japanese product fighter (xa?) Astra - We already know about this beauty Zafira - Definite West Coast hit for small families especially with the high gas costs of today Vectra - We already know we are going to get this, but what about different variants? Tigra Twin Top - This would do to Saturn what the Miata did to Mazda Vivaro - It might be ugly like the Mercedes version, but wow has the Mercedes version been successful here in the states. Movano - Same as the Vivaro Some ideas outside of Opel Cruze - Something new that no one offers. Would be hot for new young hip buyers Adventura - Subaru competitor They've done all the designing work, now they just need to find a flexible enough plant to bring them all here. This would give Saturn a full line to compete with companies like toyota and honda.
  15. I'm sure most of you know the Autotainment is opening up this spring in Vegas. There could be no better place for Cheers and Gears to have a get together. Either way, I'm heading there this summer. Any one else? Info on Autotainment
  16. Not bad, but if GM wants Cadillac to a top tier luxury maker then they have to cut the ties with the other GM divisions. It just doesn't cut it.
  17. Ariel shot of the 3000 people town I live in Dundee, my "city" - known for it's wineries. There are 4 wine tasting rooms that are easy walking distance from my house. Dundee The company I work for, and pictures of our community
  18. 26,000 miles in a little over 7 months and we LOVE our Cobalt. I took it to Denver last weekend and found it to be more comfortable than expected. The guy I went with even got a ticket for doing 100 mph, though earlier he was doing 110 mph in Wyoming. It was so quite at that speed it was hard to tell he was even speeding. I think it's a great idea and money well spent.
  19. Funny how the reports on any toyota talk about legendary quality and yet with Buick, who is actually the legendary quality winner, not a single mention.
  20. As sad is it is to say I think GMs purchase of Daewoo will put them in a better long term position than even toyota.
  21. Wow, those are some HUGE gaps.
  22. Traditionally GM has started production of a product on it's last model year early when they are redoing it. Is this true for the Uplander? At the beginning they said it would only be around for 3 years. Can we all be so lucky?
  23. Hard to deliver something you don't have. Even in foreign car land, the Northwest, the Lucurene is selling so fast dealers don't even have them for test drives.
  24. To me it looks like any other Asian car. Blah.
