    Enclave interior

I think it's beautiful, and don't see anything they need to change for production ready.
  2. With the article out of WSJ stating that big rear wheel drive American is in, I don't see how they could go wrong, especially if it picks up cues from older generations.
  3. So the big question, now that we know Saturn is using the Astra, are these the 2007 Ion replacements or ???
  4. I'm wondering when a US based magazine will test the Astra to give us an indication of what they think of it.
  5. I just hope they don't dumb it down. Please give us the diesel engines, the fun options (rain sensing wipers, etc.) and all the good stuff. I for one will put my money where my mouth is IF it comes in diesel form.
  6. My wife and I have many hills to climb on our daily commute and we consistently get 40 mpg. My wife can get 43 mpg, as long as I don't go near it (lead foot driving). As far as build quality goes; 33,000 miles and not a problem (short of a recall).
  7. If Pontiac could go pure rear wheel drive, then it would make sense. Let each division not only stand out in the market place by class level, but also their own way of expressing driving perfection. Maybe that's why we havn't heard of a G6 replacement, as they are considering rear wheel drive (or so we can only dream of).
  8. It has alot more flavor than the current version, but it still looks alittle watered down for US tastes.
  9. It would be the perfect Saturn to help GM improve it's gas mileage image (not reality mind you, just image).
  10. It looks typical small SUV "cute" Not something I would want, but something young Moms would go for.
  11. We did have the Radio lock problem, but havn't had it in a while. Luckily they're changing the radio to the black tie version in 2007.
  12. You've only touched the surface of that hippy town. During the Saturday market you get ugly women walking around topless, the smell of MaryJ, TONS of anti-American types, LOTS of Christian haters (for why they don't know), and on and on. Eugene is the home of the Anarchist / Anti-Capitalism groups. There are two toyota dealers and only one Chevy Dealer. The Cadillac dealership shares the lot with the Chevy Dealer, but lexus, acura & Mercedes get their own seperate places. It is one screwed up place. I grew up there, and will have nothing to do with it. One can't even go there without getting ticked at how bad they drive. My wife and I hate going there so much, we make my Parents and Mother-in-Law come up to Portland just to avoid Eugene. If we are lucky, Eugene will be the first place to burn when the world ends.
  13. The bj (might as well use the proper name that it is) had a cheap plastic look to it at the autoshow.
  14. Buick doesn't need it. One could look at lexus vs acura for comparison. lexus is more upscale and no 4-cyl is offered. This is where Buick is heading. acura is a lower class luxury line, but with more "excitement". Going for the poorer persons BMW thing. This is more along the lines of Pontiac.
  15. That car has yet to get a "bad" review. They've nitpicked it, but in the end everyone seems to like it.

I like how GM is standing out on the edge with the new CTS like they did with the old one, but this time spending more on the interior as well.
  17. I'm in the low mileage camp now. Though at only 8 months old, our Cobalt now has 32,000 miles.
  18. It looks to be less complicated than toyotas. I wonder if GM will then be able to spread it around to all of their vehicles quickly and at a much lower cost.
  19. We loved our Alero GL2. It handled MUCH better than expected. The sport suspension package makes the car a blast to drive.
  20. Just as nice as the Tahoe's interior, maybe too nice for a truck.
  21. That's hot. I hope GM is smart enough to give us the diesel options as well as the wagon.
  22. 1996 Saturn SL2 (returned 3 months after ownership as it was junk) 2002 Alero GL2 (loved it, but Grandmother needed a car) 2005 Cobalt LS (just reached 31,000 miles in less than 8 months)
  23. The G6 must also be making a big difference for Pontiac, as they couldn't sell enough Solstices to make that big of an impact.
  24. I had a great car from there; 2002 Alero GL2.
  25. Even when I'm driving with a very heavy right foot, we don't get below 36 mpg on our Cobalt. That includes 40% city driving. Normally we get around 38 to 39 mpg. My parents get approx 34 mpg on their Xa. Funny, the Xa was rated much higher than the Cobalt. Obviously the EPA figures aren't done in a fair fashion.
