  1. As the old saying. Nothing beats the original, but this one was one of my better concept cars that I've seen. Sure, it needs some work in styling-wise, but I sure miss the Scirocco. It deserved to be returned. Can't wait until they build it, and hopefully, they'll bring it here. To me, it's a winner. Though, I agree that the styling isn't for everyone, but I personally like it. It's unique, and.... Different, unlike so many cars on the road today that look alike to one another.
  2. This Banshee is among one of my favorite as well. I know it's only a concept, but to me, it would have been a great car if Pontiac put it into production. I personally think this is just as beautiful as the one you have posted. As good as it can go for the modern car I think if they built it. While it may have not be as original as the old one posted here but just as beautiful.
  3. Well, I still don't like it. The styling is not for me. I still think Grand Prix should return WITH this G8. I know I am the only one, unless they change the styling on this G8 drastically. I hate the styling, especially the horrendous interior. Yuk.
  4. Firebird >> Genesis >> Camaro Sorry, I can't help it. I am a big, Chevy-Hater.
  5. Have a happy G6 Birthday.
  6. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We are roasting one right now, and we will take the bird to my younger sister's house later. Don't eat too much though, or you will get fat, fat, fat. HAPPY TURKEY DAY.
  7. Well, it's not really a Genesis coupe. According to the November '07 issue of Road & Track, this is the 2010 Hyundai Tiburon.(The silver car that I have scanned from the magazine and posted on the Spyshot thread for Tiburon in this site. I never seen the back of the car, but, honestly, I still don't like it. Even though I was born and raised in Korea, I have no love for Hyundais. Only Korean Car I like so far is the Korea Only, Hand made sports car called Proto Spirra that is using the Mustang V8 with 419 HP on it that sells in limited production for $80,000 US dollars in Korea. Road & Track saids that the base engine for this 2010 Tiburon could be the V6 (with around 230HP according to some on-line site I came accros a while back) and there is a posibility of a V8 that will be used on the Genesis sedan, and posibly a Turbo 4 for the Asian market. But, to me, I think this couple still needs some freshing up to do. I am a sucker for the grill-less design for the sports cars, sort of like current Tiburons, so that and other things to me, will make the car look better, well, for me.
  8. OK then, how about PontKoala Kanga g8 Socceroo DWUD 8(Downunder 8 ) Holoala Caminholden
  9. I still think 'Salsa' is a pretty good name for it. Like the concept Salsa here:
  10. Probably another stupid name game that they have been playing lately, adding number after G. Probably G7, or G9 maybe? or G8.5? I hate this new naming scheme that Pontiac is using these days. They should hire someone just to name cars, since they desperately need HELP in naming their cars. They can always use old names that they discarded like Phoenix, Fiero, Sunfire, Can Am, 6000, J2000, Star Chief, Safari, Lemans, Grand Lemans, Parrisienne, or their concept car names like Salsa(I think that will fit this car perfectly), Protosport4, Rageous, Banshee, Stinger, Piranha or others, but they just don't want to do it and likes to play the number game, so.........
  11. To shift gears little bit, as bias these awards could be, am I the only one who wants to see each positions that each contender finished at? like the very old COTY awards when MT was doing the COTY and ICOTY seperate? I just like to see where my favorites finished in it everytime these awards gets published for some strange reason, though I don't trust them 100%. Once again, Congrats to GM and Cadillac. It's about time that the American premium make like Cadillac deserves an award over those boring, and stale Japanese make who always wins which I got sick and tired of. To me, Japanese makes aren't that good to win COTY everytime, it's just so biased and more people loves the Japanese so much, that these publishers tends to pick them as winners most of the times. Even on some comparison tests, they tend to pick Japanese(of the models that I think as NO COMPETITION at all) over much more sophisticated, and BETTER Europeans, which angers me sometimes and makes me go 'Oh, they probably picked Japanese anyway as the winner, as usual' before I even flip the first cover of the magazine. Face it, they may be popular, but to me, they are not that good.
  12. So, the American car have finally beat out the usual Japanese brand. That is really a good news, since I already lost faith on them and their Motor Trends Car of the Year thing long time ago when they only awared it to the Japanese for such a long time. I used to think Motor Trend have lost its reputation for the COTY these days ever since they merged the COTY with the ICOTY. It's good to see GM and the America fought back to win one of the most well known(though not as trusted anymore due to the above fact) magazine award. It's about time. Congrats Cadillac.
  13. The rear end kinda look like Jaguar XJ Wagon, which isn't bad, but I still hate the Holden face.
  14. Well, they are also saying the car will be substantially larger in dimention, so they would be battling the size of the cars in league of Ford Mustangs rather than do Mitsu Eclipse league. Well, it will be interesting if anyone will buy this new coupe, since to me, I still think the current generation looks more unique and have its own personality, though derivative in style.
  15. Well, another thing is, it's tail-light as far as we can tell so far(well, I've seen the spy photo that is coverred, I am not sure if anyone posted here, that I've seen from Tiburon fan site), looks to be an exact copy of Infinity G35. Well, a bit shorter but, which is just bad. No originallity.... Well, as for power, they are saying that it will have around 230 or so HP, I am sure it's only a rumor now but.
  16. I don't like small cars, nor any of the Japanese, but if I have to choose the best looking style from those four, I will have to go with the Honda Fit. To me, Fit's styling stands out from those 4. I don't know why.
  17. Well, I don't like it, even though there are rumors, and Road & Track magazine have stated that there is a possiblily for the Turbo 4 may get in there, I just don't like the new style. Never have when it comes to my native lands cars. I always considerred Tiburons as shame to call it anything sporty since there are far better looking sportsters at around same price. About the only Korean SPORTS car that I proudly can decare as KOREAN SPORTS CAR is limited to the young company in Korea called Proto Motors who makes the Spirra using Mustang's V8 engine. That's all. I sure hope Hyundai seriously re-styles this little coupe before they even think about producing it for sale.
  18. Then maybe Fiero, the car that no other GM had their version for, even though it was chewed upon for its week fiberglass body and the weak powerplant. I sure miss those small mid-engined sportsters. It could be great if the re-worked Fieros can return. It will be an affordable 2 seat sports car.
  19. Also, I want the FIREBIRD to be back as well. If possible, both the regular version and the one with that funky pop-up headlight unit as an option(I know, I am the only one who drool over it but.). Firebird Trans Am with the T-Top was my very first Dream Car, but by then I didn't even have license to drive, since by then, It was my early US life.
  20. Oh yeah, that is one of my favorite Grand Prix as well. Ah, the memories. People say they don't make cars as they used to, and to some extent, I am with them. But I still want my 08 Grand Prix. I just can't wait to lay my finger on those beaties.
  21. Well, I don't care if the Grand Prix gets the zeta platform or not(ONLY IF IT ISN'T AUSSIE, RE-BADGED HOLDEN, I HATE the WHOLE RE-BADGING THING. Chevy's don't do that as much as current pontiac's do), as long as the name Grand Prix returns and as long as the styling ISN'T Too different than the current one, esp. the current interior that I like, remains. I am happy, and as long as they DON'T Change the rear quarter, the coupe like styling stays the same, so..... Part of the reason that I prefer the style that GMI has for the G8 that looks WAY better since it looks more like an updated version of Grand Prix. Now THAT, is what I call a Pontiac styling. What they have now for G8 is just plain ugly for me. If they can move down the signals from the grill to the bumber and use the current, divided signal/foglight of the above pic, that will be a GREAT Grand Prix makeover. Why can't they do that? They can bring this one as an '09 Grand Prix and bring the current G8 as is, since Grand Prix will always be lower priced than G8, that will be a magic for me.
  22. Oh, yeah, I want to appogize. I think I kinda got too excited there for a moment and over-reacted. What's done is done, so I have no control over what they do or don't anyway, I just couldn't help it, since to me, it seems like my favorite GM brand, Pontiac, is like the only brand out of GM that is being treated like dirt according to what I see and hear and it seems like Chevy is the only brand that are getting new models and getting all the attention these days, so..... I'll shut up.
  23. I know, but they don't HAVE TO kill it, since, if they keep it, I can get it next year as well, saving more of my money since Grand Prix was always a car I was looking to purchase but I always ran short a few grand to get it, now finally came my opportunity, but they are killing it, which sucks. It is first intended as a Bonneville replacement as the price suggests, the Grand Prix just became a pawn because of it. getting killed at the same time(though Bonneville died first). What they should do is bring this plain looking G8(Though I always hated Holden's plain looks, look at the ill fated GTO) since they really want to, and bring back Grand Prix with the same style(well a bit updated), with the different platform if they Really want the new thing. I DON'T care if the current platform is 20 years old, or even 100 years old, all I want is the Current Pontiac Style that was DESIGNED in home in US, though the car is built in Canada. They can also go with this direction. Leave the current Grand Prix alone, and CREATE a NEW, Sportier Trim Level like Toyota did about 10 years ago with their corolla(I think), and while keeping the name Grand Prix but make it the completely different car with a bit higher price for that trim level. I just DON'T want them to KILL the current Grand Prix, the style alone and the gracious interior it has which is completely my style, Not some cheap interior like G6 has nor like the re-badged G5 trash has, I looked and sat on one of the Grand Prix in the dealer lot just recently, and I immediately fell in love with it. Hey, Chevy is keeping their Impala, so why not Pontiac? Impala is a using the same platform and everything as Grand Prix, yet they are still keeping it. Chevy is expanding it's already humongous line up, why CAN'T Pontiac enjoy some expansion as well? HUH? If chevy's are getting the new models, so should the other divisions. It's only fair. I HATE Mr. Luts for leaving the non-Chevy's in the dark, favoring ONLY his favorite.
  24. Grand Prix, which in fact I am getting in December. I know what you will say, you will probably say it's an old junk, but to me, it's the most beautiful car that I can get with $24K with all the equipments I want with the WAY better style that I like over this crap. Well, I don't care about mechanicals, nor engine power since I NEVER race my car, so....
