  1. http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...21354&st=20 I have actually E-mailed Mr. Luts about 2 nights ago. So, there is the answer.
  2. Well, as is, the car won't sell. They will certainly learn it the hard way. They seriously need to develep their own thing or they will fall forever into the abyss. I hope they learn their lesson since I am pretty sure NO-ONE will buy it when they bring it here un-touched. If they can't design stuff on their own, at least give the designing work to the company like Proto Motors whom I don't think that there is any new model on works. Sure, the Spirra of theirs may took some cues from NSX(well, it seems like), but it DOES have some uniqueness to it, and they are experienced in designing few of the models for Hyundai and Kia in the past, and I am sure they will do MUCH better job the the trash they came out with. Since they are also based in Korea, the cost will be lot less than giving the work to Europe or anywhere else. Well, that's what I think. The car as is, have serious problem in design. No-one will want to buy and spending that kind of money on this junk.
  3. Well, only thing I am hoping for now is they don't screw up on the coupe as well. If they go vanilla on the coupe as well, then, they are going down...... But knowing Hyundai, they may.
  4. I highly doubt that anyone will consider this as 'LUXURY' as Hyundai wants to label it. Comming out from Hyundai?, in US? They will probably see it as an 'OVER-PRICED, OVER-HYPED, LUXURY KNOCK-OFF'. Part of the reason I believe it's better for them to keep it as Korea only, not for the export.
  5. Too true, Too true.
  6. To me, I think they are better off not exporting it to the US. I mean, save themselves from embarassment, since I highly doubt that anyone will buy it. Unless they can come out with their own design to be proud of and change it before they bring it here. I just can't help but feel ashamed that my native country followed what Chinese car companies have been doing and causing all kinds of lawsuits and all.
  7. Out of those list, Volvo C-30 is my only favorite.
  8. btw, I heard that this will be the US-version(without the Genesis Logo), the same car but. http://www.bobaedream.co.kr/board/data/dat...=&Answer=61 Everything is in Korean, but I can tell you that more than 70% of the comments posted in Korean are all negative. More than half of those negative comments states that they prefer the Concepts look which is the same opinion that I have. They are saying all kinds of thing like, it is just a junk ready to be wrecked, nothing more than a Chinese clone that is just big, design that goes backward, was looking to buy but changed their minds, and so and so. To me, if Hyundai really want to make money by selling this thing in the US, they really need to change pretty much... EVERYTHING. Sorry Hyundai, but to me, this new, 'so-called' luxury sedan according to you is just a shamefull knock-off that could have been better NEVER to be designed in the first place. No-one will buy, so save yourself from embarassment by not being able to sell any here, just scrape it and don't export it, unless you are going to revise it. oh, and sorry about the double post.
  9. Yuk. Just Yuk. Now that is just plain sucks. It's a copy no matter where you look. Even worse than Chinese makes who were criticized for copying others all these years. Haven't they learned from the loss they had due to Chinese copying their previous models? Following THEIR trend? and claiming it as their best? There isn't ONE bit of Originality. Why can't they just release the concept version which was LESS Derivative. They ruined it so much that it isn't even funny now. This will be a tough sell especially in US. The designers have just went Vanilla and screwed up big from the concept version. I feel ashamed that I am Korean just by looking at this. That much, which is saying a lot. Now I'm not even sure if they can even export it to US without suffering some lawsuits here and there. They will be lucky to even score a sell of just 1 unit. To me, even this one looks better: At least it isn't that much derivative, but then, it was created partly by Mercedes so.... Now I know what they are going to do with their coupe version. Hiring the same losers who ruined the sedan, discard ALL things that were on the concept, and put in all kinds of other brands designs in there like they did here. Stealing a design is only OK to some extent, not this much. The Shame.
  10. Anyway, if you really want to see the one that can only be described as UGLY, to me, this can't be beat. It is like the UGLIEST vehicle ever designed. It's only a concept, and I pray to god, for it NEVER to gets produced. http://z4.invisionfree.com/CarsDiscussion_...;st=0last I got lazy to copy and paste every pic, so I just posted a page from my site, but you will get the idea how ugly it is. Aztek doesn't even close to this thing in ugliness.
  11. LOL. These are Hilarious.
  12. Just as usual, Chevy gets all the new models and UN-DESERVED ATTENTION, while Pontiac and others struggles in the shadows, only getting their current models killed, and gets NOTHING new to their arsenal. At least this Chevy looks UGLY as hell, I hope it doesn't sell. Not even ONE, to help Chevy CLOSE DOWN INDEFINATELY. God I hate GM and their BABY Chevrolet's cheap Trash!!!!
  13. Chevy's don't deserve it. Plain and simple. I am sorry Camaro fans, but Formula should only be Pontiac's, NOT for chevy. Period. It should be remained as Pontiac Only, Chevy's DON'T deserve any good stuff. I HATE Chevys.
  14. Actually, I don't think Aztek was the original UGLY Ute. If you look at the horrendous tank called 'Lamborghini LM002', which came out before Aztek, you will see what I mean. LM002 was.... well.... Threatningly ugly which isn't even funny, yet it costed out of this world expensive to be in the common popularity, but, to me, I also prefer Aztek over the current Torrent, which is nothing more than a rebadged and slightly modified style of that stupid Chevy Equinnox. I DON'T consider Aztek to be ugly. Best of all, it's DIFFERENT, and UNIQUE on any angle of the view, that's what matters to me most and to me, that's what makes it cool. Looks aside, Aztek was also very functional inside. Which other SUV offers the goodies like Camping package, funky consol cooler, Cargo area audio controls, even sliding cargo trays that even opens up to store even more? To me, Pontiac shoudn't have killed the Aztek. They should have just updated the styling a bit and continued on, rather than playing the re-badging thing that is to me, is like the cheesiest, and the most ridiculous thing in the auto industry these days. To me, Aztec is a far far better looking, and functional SUV than the trash like Honda Element, Scion xD and so and so, yet they get all the rave reviews while Aztec is being chewed as if it is the most ugliest of the pack, while the Element and xD are the REAL ugly utes that are just plain disgusting. I just don't like media who gives all the good ratings for anything Japanese and chews on anything new that is tryed by Detroit. It's just UNFAIR. My favorite Aztek. The Aztek Salsa that I took the picture of a few auto shows back. I hope they bring back the Aztek.
  15. Well, IMHO, I think Honda Element should be called as a 'TOASTER' on wheel, yet the press chewed on Aztec like there's no tomorrow while praised about Element. To me, the opposite should be true. Sorry Element fans and its PROUD owners, I can't help it.
  16. I never miss the N.Y Auto show, so, unless something bad comes up, I am definately going.
  17. I don't think this will start anytime soon, but I would like to change my entry to this: It isn't any better, but it IS more recent pic I've done so.
  18. Not a fan of Scion nor any Japanese for that matter, but I would have to agree with the review. Surely, they could have done a better job at least on the styling. It is in my opinion, well.... HEDIOUS. Not any better than those Hyundais and Kia junks since I hate their designs as well. Sure, sure, it's unique, and their own design, but they could have been done much better. Scion xD and Honda Element in my opinion are the most hedious looking vehicles ever designed. I would prefer the 1st generation Pontiac Aztec(which look way better then either and was lot more functional then the two) million time over these trolls. Well, no offence to any Scion fans and Honda Element fans.
  19. I find that quite surprising. If you look at the picture, it is nothing more than a copy of an Infiniti. I think it is 100 times uglier than the Concept. While concept version was derivative, but it wasn't THIS much. This is too much. Not even a single uniqueness in it. I don't think Hyundai will be sellng much of this bad copy, as far as I guess, unless they change MOST of its styling for the REAL, Production car. I am much disappointed with this. Is this all they can do? for something they want to claim LUXURY?
  20. Asian: Never. Hate the Japanese, and for the Koreans, only thing I like is only being sold in Korea and I can't afford it anyway Domestic: Absolutely. Currently have 99 Grandam, absolutely loving it. Got around 80,000 miles on it, despite the fact I got into an accident once, it still running like Brand New with not even a single problem, just like my very first car which was a 92 Sunbird. Part of the reason that I am getting an 08 Grand Prix which is also the domestic, though made in Canada. European: I love the European, but I just CAN'T afford them for the cars that have the size that I like.
  21. I think they went on sale, since I too, have seen one of them when I was in the parking lot of B.J's wholesale club the other night, when a tiny, black car drove into view. I was like, What the.... The car was REEEEELLY tiny, so it was a stand out. It was cute though, but since I don't like small cars, it wasn't really my cup of tea.
  22. As a Korean myself, I can't help but feel ASHAMED about this. They haven't got ANY of their OWN design on this. The Concept Version is million times better than this rip-off. BMW? no, I think it is a 100% copy of the current Infinity(don't know the model name), especially the rear. The interior could have been done better as well. Surely, they should have kept the Concept's look on both front and rear which wasn't a COMPLETE copy. This one, the coupe, which I have posted on the other thread about the Tiburon Spy shot(which got buried), looks far better.(of course, chances are, they will probably screw up on this coupe as well next year, just by looking at this). http://z4.invisionfree.com/CarsDiscussion_...hp?showtopic=60 I was NEVER a fan of Hyundai nor Kia to begin with and this one may make me hate it even more. They could have done a way better job that at least make it look UNIQUE, not this ripped-off junk. But then, my only Native Korean car brand that I like are the Proto motors, but.... btw, how do you EMBED the vid in this site? I was trying to embed the Youtube vid on that Spyshot Hyundai thread, but none of the ways worked, so I had to put a link to it, and I got lazy to click on that thread, so I just put the link that is on my site. I mean, is video embedding allowed here or not?
  23. Sorry for the double posting(well, I haven't posted in this thread for few days) but I just found the video clip of the unveiling of the Genesis coupe/Tiburon/Tuscany(Whichever you want to call it) over in Youtube. I actually found this clip from the newtiburon.com first, where I am also a member of(which I have 0 posts) and I searched for it in Youtube, and found it. This is for the upcomming Genesis/Tiburon/tuscany(whichever you want to call it) revealed at LA Auto Show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J31P1NNw8M8&rel=1 Creidt goes to: HMAUSA for uploading the vid. On another note, I know it's off-topic, but I think this Kia is rumorred to be the Kia version based on this new coupe. Called the Kee. I think it's only a rumor. I am sure most of you have seen it already but.
  24. Though I am still considerred new here and I don't know most of the people, HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
