  1. I had replied food, but I want change it to Obesity Tax.
  2. That 3.0L will be a great base engine for the CTS! Since IIRC the block is the same for the current 2.8L, 3.2L (the one GM sells to Alfa Romeo) and 3.6L engines, will there still be a 2.8L to be used in Opels and Saabs, eventually upgraded with DI, or will this engine replace the 2.8L across the board?

  11. These should be, in essence, the bridge loans they asked for. It's the money they need to survive until a new Administration is in place and they can negotiate real restructuring finance.

  18. They're worried about the operational and financial health of their supply chain and if I was in their shoes I'd be worried too.

  20. It is fear but not at that level. Remember this is just business, so there are no feelings involved here: GM/Ford/Chrysler go down, major suppliers go down with them since even Tier1 suppliers have had their margins squeezed for years due to pressures from OEMs. Since all major OEMs share suppliers, Toyota would be seriously hit by GM/Ford/Chrysler bankruptcies.
  21. Mining We've had our historical rivalries: they invaded us a few times, and we kicked their asses. But nowadays there's nothing but the purest Love
  22. Rock @ Bob - nothing but love for our dear Spanish neighbours
