  1. Agreed on the S-Class: too Maybach wannabe. I don't dislike the C-Class butt that much. The think I find funny about the C-Class is that every time I look at one I think 'the guy who designed that front-end must have designed the Holden Statesman/Caprice's front-end too'.
  2. grave An air of freshly broken ground. A concrete angel lit right down Upon the grave which swallows fast It’s peace at last, peace at last!
  3. I think the turbo 2.8L V6 should be offered with AWD, eventually as a new GNX. Let the LaCrosse be more plush and use the smaller more nimble car to offer a better handling version. and for the 10000000000000000th time: it'd be better to glue some Enclave portholes on the side of the hood than use those silly fender vents.
  4. front = good rear = wtf is that?

  8. The political bickering will continue until Spring. They'll announce a bipartisan compromise/solution then.

  10. The site has been messed up for a few days: lots of times it doesn't load the threads and when you hit F5 it posts multiple times.
  11. Let me be serious for a moment here: if I was an American taxpayer, I'd want oversight of how my tax dollars (current or future, depending on how the Government will fund these bailouts) are spent by the companies being bailed out. To me it's this simple: no blank checks.
  12. Blood
  13. Don't want to sound like a broken record, but except for the silly side vents (Enclave-like portholes on the side of the hood would have worked better IMHO), the Insignia looks great as the Buick Regal. I'd like to see it in the US, as Saturn is either being shut down or reinvented (which itself could be an euphemism for a shut down).
  14. They might cancel each other, and something productive might actually happen
  15. Watching soccer on TV while dinner heats in the microwave.
  16. Too bad... I'm sure the coupe looks great. Good that the show is growing even during tough times.
  17. This is smart. It's way cheaper to buy some Holden badges than to launch the Chevrolet brand in Australia.

  19. Former consultant, now working for a mining company. :AH-HA_wink: And I have no problem saying what I think on a public forum. I am against it in principle (I don't like the idea of poorly managed companies getting taxpayer's hard earned money) and I'd be a really pissed off American taxpayer right now, but I understand that it is happening because of the sheer political weight these 3 companies have and because many suppliers will implode with a collapse of the Detroit 3. So let's hope they make good use of that money.
  20. Quick Wikipedia search did it for me
  21. I messed up the spelling there Response to thread: beans

  23. Ah! Those tailights remind me of a Vauxhall.... I think it was the Vauxhall Viva... EDIT - Check this out: link. In the case of your pic, it is a Chevrolet Firenza.
  24. I was under the impression that the GM/Fiat Gamma would die with the current-gen Corsa. It can also be that the Gamma/Gammas have been pushed forward a little given the US market shift in taste to smaller cars.
  25. Check the Insignia out: except for the silly side 'vents' (should have had Enclave-style portholes on the hood), it looks pretty good wearing Buick badges! Linkitypoo @ Chicagoland: the point is, as the American consumer moves away from larger cars, some will prefer premium features in smaller cars. It is the emergence of a Europe-like the premium small car market in the US where traditionally small=cheap in the minds of consumers.
