  1. I'd like to leave one thought and that thought is this: it will be Chrysler that will prove if large, mainstream rear-drive cars can last through the upcoming decade's rising CAFE regulations.
  2. And then we hear the following from a familiar voice on the same page ... He did have a point there. I can't see a Zeta Buick Park Avenue being a fleet vehicle like it's front-drive forbearer was (taxis), especially with Buick re-establishing itself as a more upmarket brand again.
  3. I don't think there could be a set of more half-assed cupholders than what you'd find in a second-generation S-Series truck with a manual transmission. There's a total of three cupholders: one just in front of the shifter, to the left hand-side ... and two right in the door panels. That's today's totally useless fact.
  4. I'm indifferent to them. Some of them seem like decisions forced upon an artist by the record labels and producers to make a nice, quick, fat dollar (i.e. Jack Ingram's Hinder cover). Others are genuinely interesting covers that either seem like a joint venture between an artist, executives, and label or are recorded by an artist "just because" (Johnny Cash's NIN and Soundgarden covers). I like the "genuine" ones, obviously. Well, I do tend to dream all day ...
  5. I watched it and I really wish I didn't. Bad acting, bad script ... a real nasty waste of effort as a whole. Couldn't stand the new KITT (especially it's new voice actor, ugh). Did JJ Abrams direct this piece of trash, by any chance?
  6. That is a pretty kick ass shade of blue. The name ("B5 Blue") not so much.
  7. Some photos. Niko: His ears still yet have to "peak." Jasper: Quite an ... act.
  8. Oh, like a 1988 GMC S-15 or an old '70s GMC pickup?
  9. Hmmm ... On second look, the "new teaser" doesn't look like a photoshopped 9x pic.
  10. Not so sure about Korn, but a big to Tool and Metallica.
  11. That's where you bring in the CGI. Sorry, guys, but Abrams can't direct his way out of a paper bag. Cloverfield was pure rubbish.
  12. When it comes to pets, I'm ... under-equipped compared to some of you guys. I only have one cat (an American Shorthair, Jasper) and now a dog (a Husky/Malamute mix, Niko). I did have another cat at one time (a Siamese, Bandit), but he's been missing for months now.
  13. No wonder Europeans rip on us for being stupid.
  14. The most wonderful time of the year. Been sick since Friday night with a fever, stuffy/runny nose, and a horrible cough. And I have to take care of my new husky on top of all of that. Anyone else under the weather?

    Building a 128i

I've been looking at used E36 3-Series BMWs lately, just for the hell of it. Maybe a little bit smaller than I would like, and probably a little more, well, used than I would like, but you can't really argue with a rear-drive, six-cylinder, five-speed manual coupe for less than five-grand. This car is a prime candidate on my shopping list (as well as two others), if I can't afford a new Camaro.
  16. I hope those trucks find good homes. They are blank canvases; just paint it your favorite color, drop it, install some nice rims and tires, and a big honkin' crate motor with a beefy transmission to match ...
  17. Yeeaaahhh, that's definitely a classic case of Japanese rip-lication, right down to the name.
  18. I honestly like it. If Mullaly knows what's good for Ford's North American operations, he'd start bringing over Ford Australia's Falcon and, well, all of the European offerings. This is one case where rebadging wouldn't actually hurt. It's like I've said before to all of my relatives who've put Ford down in the past: they actually do make nice cars ... just not here in the United States. (Mustang and maybe F-150 excluded.) The power of Christ compels you! THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU! ... Some good that did. Guess not even God can help the pile of $h! that is the 2008 Focus.
  19. Exactly what I was saying in my post. "Oh, aren't those one of those really small ugly red cars from, like, 1992?"
