  1. I don't feel like getting into this argument. i just want to point out one thing. We have roughly 100 years of reliable and at least somewhat accurate temperature records. Who is there to say that 12 month drastic changes in weather haven't occurred before? or perhaps used to be very common before. 100 years of climate data is useful, don't get me wrong, but theres still 20,000+ years of human history that are unrecorded as far as climates go (at least descriptively recorded).
  2. Despite being overly tacky, that would be pretty awesome to see that RV driving on the road... of course i might crash into something with all the tears in my eyes from laughing.
  3. Post images of the best Teh Ricers! you've seen either on the net or the road! American Ricer Neons are welcome too. Id post an image but im to lazy to look for one. Additionally, Nick if you still have a picture of that ricer truck i made ya... that'd be great.
  4. Nothing wrong with hippy hair, just tell him to condition it and keep it healthy otherwise it will speed up the balding process If its already really bad then he needs to cut it all off and take care of it as it grows out again.
  5. Well the sooner we destroy the Earth, the sooner it can begin its million year journey to rejuvenating itself. The Few humans that do survive its "destruction" can very very slowly repopulate it. Now that better future for our children than a nice new green earth? sure a few... billion... people might have to die now... but billions later will thank us... for destroying the planet... ~*~The preceding was a paid advertisement for Scorched Earth~*~
  6. Full
  7. I didnt actually read your post. but... what ever happened to the days of post whoring. and why is fly comatose... and where is my awesome old sig.
  8. Well D'uh. Corn is the worst crop imaginable to make ethanol. Other sources for ethanol may prove cleaner... although im still a fan of Hydrogen.
  9. the pebble bed reactors do look interesting. Too bad they are banned here in the US, it violates some old nuclear treaty we have or something, i dont really know. Whats sad is to think that all the US nuclear power plants are antiques compared to modern ones elsewhere in the world (doesnt mean they cant put out some serious wattage tho ).
  10. The only byproduct of Hydrogen fuel cell engines is water vapor right? Well with all the recent advances in hydrogen production, wouldnt it make sense to move towards Hydrogen rather than E85 or BioDiesel... The only reason i say this is cause... 1) If everyone in large cities used hydrogen fuel cell engines, The water vapor produced from the cars and the relative lack of traditional emissions would create a sort of counter greenhouse effect. The increased water vapor in the area would reflect more light back into space, cooling the local area and of course providing more rainfall... instead of trapping in heat and causing crappy air quality. Now in places like the south.... where its already humid, this might sorta suck. lol. And thats my 1 point plan for success.
  11. I wouldnt be terribly opposed to a high torque V6 diesel in the Camaro. New Diesels pretty well go with the old muscle car philosophy anyways.
  12. Unless research on harnessing ethanol from algae is successful, we simply do not have the farmland necessary for E100 vehicles. If we were to pursue Ethanol, many farmers would switch to growing crops used for Ethanol since that would net them the most money, driving edible food production down and price up. Ethanol is fine for a temporary additive to gasoline, but other fuel routes are necessary.
  13. Republican and Democratic parties have become stale. the middle ground is where most Americans stand and where most politicians should come from.
  14. obviously it stands for Gr its Gr8!
  15. Happy 3 day late birthday Fly! Your still awesome in my book.
  16. i like edmunds... Hell Camino
  17. Sounds like an accounting thing to me. Is this including one time transactions or no?
  18. Well i for one like it and NASCAR is what got me interested in GM in the first place. its the #1 most watched sport in America and to think GM should abandon it is about the stupidest thing ive ever heard.
  19. So if the battery is dead the parking break doesn't work? not sure if i like that...
  20. Hey great to see GM starting to do well and even better to see this site alive and well. just stopping by.
  21. dog (i cant believe this is still going)
  22. actually from an economic point of view, this entire system of globalism will parallel from the industrial revolution until the 50s or 60s. but first the rest of the world has to become "unionized" in a sense until such a time where no country has any advantages or disadvantages (or relatively minute ones) when it comes to workforces. Its not completely unfeasible that in the next 500 years what i just said would become true. Globalism will revive the rich vs poor world for a goodly amount of time, but the end result, if history is any indicator, is the rise of a vastly larger middle class (but in the very far off future). and ElKamino, everything of what you said is nothing new in America, it has been around since the teens and twenties (credit debt) and probably even before that.
  23. neat you can get casette players in those!
  24. simple, just limit engine revves to 3000rpm with massive torque. that way its still just as powerful cept the transmission shifts sooner. plus modders can totally remove it!
  25. naw, my buddy has a civic, drives it pretty hard and it still gets great gas mileage, even with the AC on. but the aveo... GM really needs to replace that engine!
