New Performance Benchmark Test
I would have thought RoadAmerica would have been a better analog to the nurburgring.

Maybe GM should revive Yellow Cab and Coach (folded into GMC).

Honda Unveils Next-Gen Clean Diesel
The tricky bit will be the OBD II requirements and knowing when to switch burn modes to catalyse the NOx to NH3 and then to N2 and H20, and balancing that with the regular DPF burn modes. If they can demonstrate it works it will be at a slight advantage over urea-based solutions which depend on additives such as AdBlue being refilled at service.

Is there any point to the CTS 2.8?
The 2.8 Turbo has already been upgraded to 280 PS is some applications, and will probably see more.

Kia Cee'd SW
As Toni noticed, it's a Kia, not a Hyundai. Same platform as the Elantra though.

California suing GM, Ford, Toyota, three others
"Under the law, a 'public nuisance' is an unreasonable interference with a public right" Does this lawsuit count as a public nuisance then?

Looks like someone attempting to build a London Cab without the expense of a curved body. http://www.lti.co.uk/index.asp

New VUE Pics!
It's very close in size to the CR-V and extended North American RAV4. The new Santa-Fe and Outlander are bigger, similar to the 7-seat Captiva.

Chevrolet WTCC Ultra
I can't see any similarity to the 206. There is a little to the new Civic hatch with the smaller rear door and hidden door handle (stolen from the Alfa 156), but the agressive nose and broad shoulders sets it apart.

Paris Preview: Lamborghini Gallardo Nera
This is an even more pointless derivative of a supercar. Not really a new model, just a new color combo.

Just be glad it's not a CR-V.

2008 Hyundai VeraCruz
Far from it. Hyundai already has a midsize BOF SUV called the Terracan (pretty crappy, but cheap), as well as a large fwd sedan almost as big as a Five Hundred developed with Mitsubishi years ago—the Equus (Mitsubishi's was the Proudia).

sienta & ractis as xa & xb replacements?
The Ractis is an Opel/Chevrolet Meriva rip-off, the Sienta a larger 7-seat MPV that creeps into the C-segment. For Scion Toyota is developing an even larger Corolla-based MPV more like its most recent Scion concept.

Chevrolet to Launch Fuel Cell Vehicle Fleet
Chevrolet To Launch World's Largest Fuel Cell Vehicle Fleet More Than 100 to Debut in 2007 in First Meaningful Market Test of Fuel Cell Vehicles SAN DIEGO – General Motors committed to building the world’s largest fuel cell vehicle fleet today by announcing its next-generation fuel cell vehicle – the Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell. GM will build more than 100 Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell vehicles and will begin placing them with customers in the fall of 2007, as part of a comprehensive deployment plan dubbed “Project Driveway." Designed to gain comprehensive learnings on all aspects of the customer experience, Project Driveway constitutes the first meaningful market test of fuel cell vehicles anywhere. A variety of drivers – in differing driving environments – will operate these vehicles and refuel with hydrogen in three geographic areas: California, the New York metropolitan area and Washington D.C. “General Motors is demonstrating its commitment to hydrogen fuel cells as the answer for taking the automobile out of the environmental debate and reducing our dependence on petroleum," said Larry Burns, GM vice president, research & development and strategic planning. “The Equinox Fuel Cell is powered by GM’s most advanced fuel cell propulsion system to date, and demonstrates an important milestone on our pathway to automotive-competitive fuel cell propulsion technology development." Enabled by GM’s fourth-generation fuel cell propulsion system, the Equinox Fuel Cell is a fully-functional crossover vehicle, engineered for 50,000 miles of life. Importantly, the Equinox Fuel Cell is able to start and operate in sub-freezing temperatures during its 50,000-mile life. It is expected to meet all applicable 2007 U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, and is equipped with a long list of standard safety features including driver and passenger frontal air bags and roof rail side-impact air bags; anti-lock braking system (ABS); StabiliTrak stability enhancement technology and OnStar, while providing all of the environmental benefits of hydrogen fuel cell technology. "The Equinox Fuel Cell is a real-world vehicle with real-world performance," said Ed Peper, Chevrolet general manager. “The fuel cell technology is seamlessly integrated into a uniquely styled crossover vehicle that is distinctively Chevrolet. The Equinox Fuel Cell joins Chevrolet’s family of advanced gas-saving and alternative fuel vehicles." The Project Driveway market test will provide comprehensive insight into all aspects of the customer experience, including reaction to the exciting, smooth and quiet performance of a fuel cell vehicle, and refueling with clean hydrogen gas. “These learnings will directly influence future fuel cell vehicle generations and ultimate market acceptance," Peper said. "With Chevrolet being GM’s global volume brand, it makes sense that Chevy will lead GM’s fuel cell vehicle commercialization charge."

I'm in doing a complete 180 with my life...
Life is never easy is it 68? I hope Beth understands you have to see things through with Marcia, and that she will still be there if they don't. Unfortunatey that means the long talks with her are out. As you have already discovereed that can only strengthen a bond that Marcia should be jealous of. I also have to say that thinking of another child while things are still being worked out, is really stupid. What Sofia really needs is stability and security. If things don't work out you and Marcia can always have more kids with other people. You shouldn't worry about Sofia being an only child until you can provide her with a stable home life, together with Marcia or not.

Looking for tips on travel abroad
They only drive on the left in the British Isles. There are several good sites with info on Italian wines. Try http://www.agriline.it/. DOCG wines are controlled regional varieties made to certain standards, most in addition have Consorzia of winemakers with further standards and numbered bottles. IGT wines are more liberal and allow winemakers to get creative. You should also look out for Consorzio fra Produttori di Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia and Consorzio tra produttori dell'aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena balsamic vinegars, difficult to find and very expensive even inside Italy. More common and less expensive are those produced by Consorzio Aceto Balsamico di Modena members. This is the type you'll find in supermarkets worldwide, but some are almost as good as the thicker, sweeter Tradizionale.

Because it's not really a GM product, but a tuner model available from only one dealer in the UK.
