  1. That was one crazy recreation... The kind of "reality tv" I have no patience for, except in small clips like this. Recreation...not good. But the worst part is, that's a very true and common occurrence. Didn't there used to be a show like this that was really REAL with real people?
  2. Little old Toyota something on the highway yesterday. Time warp.
  3. The current new Accord we have now is a global product, unlike before. The one you see here and overseas is the same, and they ship a lot of them out from Ohio. Before we would get the dumbed down and plainer version, while overseas had the nicer and higher end smaller TSX as their Accord. Acura has a great market. I've been with them for 3 years and there's a reason why they have #1 resale/residual in the industry, and more loyal clients, plus conquest clients than a lot of brands. Our TL has gotten a bit old now and was aggressive looking to start with, but is still a great car. The new TLX with 3 powertrains, modern refinement, new fuel efficiency, new styling, new features, trimmer size, and great looks will do well. We can't wait to get it this summer.
  4. ^^Nice SS shots. Today near work, followed a brand new 2014 Nissan Rogue. First redesigned one I've seen on the road. Much boxier and taller looking than before. So many Rogues around, old style, shouldn't be long before these ones are.
  5. Nightmare... Thinking back, I'm trying to remember the most miles I put on a car. I think it may have been my Avalanche which had 16k. My G8 GT had 15k. My Malibu had 4k. My G6 had 3800. My Fleetwood I bought with 118k and sold with 131k...I think. The Regal currently has 7100. And Toyota did replace those trucks. Once the frame disappears, it's a way to keep a customer...strange as it sounds.
  6. Yes, especially on the road with the jewel eye lamps. Subdued, but looks luxury and large. Tonight I was following my 1st spotting of a bright blue 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage...their new small mini car...with temp tags. Nice color. Cheapie car. Makes sense why even Consumer Reports said it's an upgrade only if you were riding around in a rikshaw before...
  7. Yesterday before the current snow and ice part 6 that has arrived... A perfect Deep Slate Metallic 2000 Chrysler 300M, even with crystal clear headlights. Mom had the identical car back in 2000-2001. Still look great when well kept: Then later in traffic a new 2014 CTS blazing up behind me, before passing. The front shot is great. The smile on the older guy driving with temp tags (looked fresh from dealer) was second to none, also.
  8. I see a lot of the latest "new" Foresters running around. In Subaru style you have to look close to know they're new, but they look nice. Subies, are always a hit.
  9. Saw & counted 4 yesterday alone, while out riding around in a friend's new 2014 Grand Cherokee. The Cherokee looks great and will be very popular. All I've seen so far are Limiteds, no Trailhawks except on dealer lots--the wheels and trim make it nicer.
  10. Good one yesterday morning. Vehicross...been a long time since I've seen one, parked half on a sidewalk where I live, and custom wheels. These still look cool.
  11. These look great. I spotted 3 yesterday, a few of which looked like they had been out & about in the snow and salt for a while--i.e., in their element. Right size and package for a lot of people, wanting nicer than CR-V, Rav4, Theta's, etc. with Jeep cachet.
  12. New blue 2014 Stingray and new black 2014 SS side by side at a local dealer, in the dark tonight. Nice display. Amidst the PA snow that keeps on showing up.
  13. Sorry to hear. Great looking dog. It's tough, especially when you have multiples. My mother is up to 4 and we can only imagine, as 2 are getting older. Do you have any others currently?
  14. I've had some clients almost have a breakdown because their new car came in with a front plate...it happens. Once I had to switch bumpers between 1 new car and another due to the bracket...service loved me for that request. In other worlds, you take it off and cover the 2 tiny holes. UNLESS you are moving to a new state, in that case just put the front plate elsewhere, off to the side or something with zip ties. Always a creative way.
  15. Today out and about in my area, a near new appearing "old guy driven" tan metallic Olds Cutlass Ciera wagon. So interesting on cars of this early/mid 90's era how ABS was a big thing, enough that they added "ABS" emblems signifying the car had it. Then later in King of Prussia a 2nd gen CTS with very nice looking Vogue 20" chrome V-style wheels, along with Vogue tyres...but then a black cloth top. Interesting. Said Kerbeck on the back, and looks like one of their specialty used car creations. Then another new silver 2014 Jeep Cherokee out & about in the mall parking lot, rear tailgate already stickered up by the lady driving it. They look great out & about.
  16. Interesting... I've seen a few Plymouth Acclaims and Dodge Spirits lately. The early 90's sedans. Not many but some. My aunt had a blue Acclaim for a while, I remember.
  17. Yes, and loved it. It's not over the top, but looks like a high performance, extremely sophisticated sedan. It's an American version of what an M5 used to be, back in the day, but with all the latest tech. Sounds great, interior is perfect (like my G8, a seemingly huge interior but not that large outside) and very comfortable. I drove an ATS 3.6L AWD Premium after, and for $5k more, it's a terrific lightweight, stiff, and beautiful car, but it didn't click with me like the SS did. Seat comfort, size, etc. all played a part. One feels like a 3-series, one is like an M5. Manual? Eh, some will complain and it may be added, but to start with, give it time. I asked the Chevy dealer where I played with one if they really sold manual Camaro's or not and he did say yes, even V6 manuals. Not as many as the SS, but they definitely do a split and the buyer is different. Their first SS buyer saw the car I was in but wanted it without a sunroof, and is "a car nut, with Corvettes and other stuff" so they ordered their 2nd one for him after he test drove it, in silver sans sunroof. GM Performance or other performance car buyers/collectors seem to be the market, as well as other uber performance sedan people who get some seat time in one.
  18. These Eagles were never around when the 2.7L was out. They had either the pushrod 3.3L (common to the minivans) or upgraded models had the 1st gen OHC 3.5L. They look great, even from the vintage. I remember several new Intrepids and Visions back in the day when they were brand new, and really stood out.
  19. A great move. And in all reality, MR will still be an even better fit at lead of product development. This makes sense in both regards, and is a fresh change.
  20. Not at all, and you have to see it. It could be garish with more swoops and vents and gashes...but not necessary. The real car in person is something else, especially inside and the feel. It will be a niche small market vehicle with rave reviews. Saw this the other day, a non-worn out Eagle Vision, the Eagle version of the Intrepid back in the day. Been a while.
  21. Tonight in town, a new Cherokee out & about in a parking lot: And earlier in the day on my adventures, the 1st new 2014 SS in silver to arrive at a local dealer. After crawling around it and listening to it idle, YES, I will take one. Reminded me about everything about my G8 GT but with an incredible interior and new refinements. Has nice presence in person. Right size, right layout, right interior, right power, sounds good to me. It's not cheap but it shouldn't be.
  22. Great truck! Still miss my Z71 2wd 2009 I had, although that was one of those "I'd love to have it and a...and a..." fleet. The white diamond LTZ is a looker.
  23. Have you actually driven one? To say Kia and Acura in the same sentence is a bit of a sacrilege. It may not be a 100k per year seller, but the engineering and performance of this car is impressive. Drive one, if you get a chance. Add 3 electric motors to it and a 7-speed DCT, and it should be even more so.
  24. Plus I just realized it had portholes... The paint and wheels looked incredible. Strange car to do it on, but visually interesting version. Forget which state it was from, maybe Florida.
  25. Covered, piece by piece, and removed the smaller bits.
