  1. New updates to the '68 Coronet. Visited this weekend and was pretty impressed. Body work near complete, and he's even painted it. Apparently it's '68 Ford white...he liked it more than Dodge white of the same vintage. Did it himself, now onto the rest. Should look better as trim and chrome goes back on, with lights. Sounds nice when it's running. Getting there piece by piece. Lost track of how long he's had this thing.
  2. Also a new CLA the other day, the econo Benz:
  3. A new Lexus LS...rolling down the highway near work with a navy blue bottom half, silver top half, large custom chrome wheels, and black windows. Looked like it rolled straight out of SEMA or something.
  4. That is nuts. I have seen so many obliterated deer in the past 2 weeks, and a customer of ours even wrecked a brand new car into one on a test drive last week. But black bear...that's a first.
  5. Time capsule Buick I see from time to time at the Wawa by work.
  6. You were driving in a time warp or an eastern PA movie set. Either or.
  7. It's been over a year, actually since October 1st to be exact since the Buick has been around. I paid to have it detailed for the winter yesterday while I was at work. Looking good and shiny again, thankfully. 6,190 miles as of today. I had the oil changed and tires rotated at 4,990 miles while I was in Delaware back in August. Only issue to report is a vibration in the steering wheel. I've had the tires balances twice now, the 2nd time most recently actually did make the car ride smoother but the steering column/wheel still vibrates on the highway...sort of. It's weird. I think because the car is not driven more than once a week, it's making flat spots...or something...on the Goodyears. Oh well. It's still fun. And the turbo is a BEAST. I drove a 2014 Cadillac ATS 2.0T AWD to see what I'd think and I love the Cadillac interior in that car, plus the lightweight RWD feel, but my GS 2.0T still sounds and feels more beastly. It's a fun car. Fall shots. Brrr. It's getting cold out again...
  8. A brand new and just purchased dark gray 2014 CTS sedan strolling down the road...looks great, especially the front LED light strips.
  9. Today... A blacked out Subaru SVX, with worn out or simply loud exhaust. Haven't seen one of these in a while: Also, as above, another Mitsu M-iEV on the highway today. Probably the 4th I've seen around here in months:
  10. But good for Mazda...if you look at what new 6 and 3 cars are out on the road, a large majority are higher trim examples. They do get pricey quickly, but people seem to like higher models. So says me with the fully decked out CX-9 previously. Go all, or go home.
  11. On that note, one of my neighbors just bought a red Grand Touring fully loaded hatch model. Probably one of the coolest looking cars in the parking lot now, by far, color included.
  12. Nice Sonic. Is that Brookville Chevy? Looks very familiar, on the hill & corner.
  13. Freshly delivered 2014 Regal base Turbo at the dealer I was getting service at yesterday for the GS. Nice changes.
  14. My Regal GS only has 59xx miles on it, wanna switch cars for a while? I could leave the Beetle parked most of the week, and take it for a Sunday spin. Give it some spirited use...it likes to launch hard...and keep my tires from flat spotting, please The Beetle sounds cool. 10k...that is weird to go that long. BMW, VW and others who do "included maintenance" have programmed the cars to stretch every last bit out of an interval. Then again, my GS was at 5000 miles and the oil life after a year said 73%, so...not much different. Any issues with the car, noises or anything?
  15. A new 2014 ATS 2.0T...in the new for 2014 "Majestic Plum". Actually a nice and different color, even on the Cadillac lines.
  16. Awe, really? I will never comprehend the reference, "quiet" styling aside, but nice that you've seen one. It's a big car. It's not just 'blu who sees that. I was stuck behind one in traffic last week and it didn't take me long to think to myself that it was giving a weird last-gen-Accord-vibe from the B-Pillar back either. Actually I think the new Accord looks way better than an RLX- certainly one of the better looking midsize cars out there and the styling translates nicer to the lower trim cars than the overly bulky lines on the Fusion do. I can see that also...the Accord and RLX have similar profiles--the C-pillar shape and rear door upper, the character line through the bottom of the doors, taillight shape on the side, all very similar...I assume the RLX is badged as a Honda Legend in other markets like the RL was? http://www.acura.com/Exterior360.aspx?model=RLX&modelYear=2014 http://automobiles.honda.com/accord-sedan/exterior-360-view.aspx It's odd how some reviews mention "Accord" when talking about RLX. In reality, it's a larger car, especially rear door, rear seat, and trunk. As of now, this is not a Legend elsewhere. Still in extended roll-out phase, with Sport Hybrid AWD to be out soon.
  17. I see a lot of XTS's everyday being driven by a mix of age groups, but have only seen one with a cloth top, near Annapolis, MD. Here in PA the most I've seen added was a set of Vogue tires. When I stopped by Cadillac yesterday, I asked about Cue and was told it's more reviews/magazines saying its bad and people coming in worried. Once they see and play with it a bit with proper instruction they're fine, even the older crowd in XTS's, etc. Seemed good to me. Now, how many white hairs will buy V-Sport Turbo XTS's...and keep the cloth tops off.
  18. The CT200h...I dislike Prius, etc. in so many ways, but I will say the CT looks and even feels SO different thanks to the Lexus duds. It's actually an intriguing car.
  19. Awe, really? I will never comprehend the reference, "quiet" styling aside, but nice that you've seen one. It's a big car.
  20. A big mostly luxury sedan... Like the Impala in the October spotting thread. The look and idea of such a nice big comfortable gorgeous car...love the idea...then I remember after a few days it might drive me crazy going "why did I get a 2x size car?". The same is true for the Acura RLX. Or the XTS. I've sold several RLX's recently and when I'm in them and driving...it reminds me of my time flinging one around the Atlanta Motor Speedway, or riding in the huge back seat. Kinda helps mix that "I want a big car" with "this actually drives like a small car". I was thinking of getting one for a while there, in full support of the brand I live by. White with black leather... The only other random would be Camaro or Corvette. Thinking there will be a Vette someday. I was at the Cadillac dealer today though, so...never know.
  21. Always wondered about this. There is a specific indented spot for the sticker on PA plates...yet every time I get a customer's trade in, everyone has done alternating sides year after year, 2012 on the left, 2014 on the right, etc. I even remember being young and my dad telling me very specifically when we lived in PA "it always has to be on the one corner", yet no one seems to do that. Not sure why it makes sense to have an expired sticker showing next to a new sticker, but common.
  22. This Impala just appeared near work, and caught my eye to check it out closer. Huge car, but if I were interested, this is exactly the combination of color (White Diamond/Ebony) and 20" wheels on an LTZ V6 I would do. Stunning. It does make me wonder how one of these drives, with the 3.6L, 20" wheels, and the longer Epsilon bones. Hmm. Too bad again the Malibu is nice but so depressing next to this car. This one has "special" all over it.
  23. Although how as the E250 Bluetec? One day when I no longer want a big engine, that 45 mpg is going to be really tempting, on a 22 gallon tank I'd fill up once every 5 weeks I bet. Atrocious... a civilian issue Checker for the new century if there ever was one. The interior is dreary, engine refinement is poor, though acceleration is very good for what it is. The engine refinement is so bad, right in the 2,000 - 2,500 rpm range under heavier acceleration, there is a hard vibration noise not unlike an old Civic with a loose catalytic converter heat shield. Sounds like a proper review. Even me driving a "typical" V6 E350 in February, the engine was smooth but the rest of the car was so drab, dreary and taxi like, you could get in & out of it and never remember a thing. I could imagine adding a gruff small diesel would not help matters in any way, mpg numbers aside. Really want to drive a CTS. Seems like an incredible car in every aspect, checking boxes the last one missed, and then some.
  24. Cool car and great reviews. When Consumer Reports even goes "this is better", that's a good sign. Hope they sell a ton.
