What $2500 Buys You
Great car, and even better, one that was maintained. Take care of it and it will go forever... One of the best generations of Accords.

Leaping From Spot To Spot
Black Lacrosse Super...haven't seen one in SO long...or this might actually only be the second one I've ever seen driving. On the road in Philly Superbowl Sunday. Then this past Thursday, driving back from Atlantic City a big black Hyundai Equus rolling along the Expressway. Big. Also the first I've seen in motion.

*raises eyebrow* Wait ... what? Why? And, what next? (I see your sig shows your "now" as "nothing".) Cort | 38.m.IL | pigValve + paceMaker + cowValve | 5 MCs + 1 Caprice Classic * post-surgeryPARTY = 5:30p-10:30p, SAT, 02/11/12 | Beef Villa, 1225 W Spring St, S Elgin IL * "Do you know what it feels like being alone?" __ All-American Rejects __ 'Swing Swing Swing' No use. A manager for an Acura store, so a new Acura is provided...and living in Philly, working so much, I especially don't need a car payment on what is a second car. A great one, but a second car. "Nothing" should remain that way for a while.

In with February, out with...
Interesting turn... Roger, no room and no time for any toy at this time. Being able to wash my car (well, in another turn, I now just pay to have that done...thinking back to the days when I'd spend a Sunday detailing...) is enough. A week past, I hadn't driven my car for months anyway, so not much has changed. New family seems to be enjoying it. Waiting to see about my move, and if so it will be one spot and no more garage. I sold my demo once...then the customer changed their mind and that 3k miles and discount bothered them. Got them the same car with 50 miles, and back to driving it I went. I'd buy it, just glad I don't have to make the payment. Impala...then Sentra...well, similar in some ways...kind of...ocn...

Miss it, but it was so long since I'd driven it, I couldn't remember how to use half the buttons when setting it up for new family. Zoom. Still enjoying my Acura.

Very true. Next up is moving, which I hopefully took care of mostly today with a realtor, to a lower priced and half sized rental. I'm never home, so why pay so much on a huge place I'm rarely in. More than a next something fun fund, paying down other debt is goal #1. Not bad. Comfy and efficient, and black. I'm thoroughly enjoying my TSX...never a car I thought I would so much, but aside from making one of my friend's car sick (smaller car, stiffer ride), it's quick, extremely comfortable, efficient, quality and the tech/features and look are great. Definitely not a drab Honda, by any means.

That was my plan, but in Philly I don't have extra indoor parking to use, and ultimately for me, why have any car payment, insurance, etc. when it just isn't necessary. Grab a new Acura, usually a TSX, drive it carefully for 5000 miles then turn it back in, sell them as new demos with an extended warranty, and onto the next. Car paid, insurance paid, I only contribute fuel and cleaning. Once I got the demo, I had no place to keep the Mazda so it moved to our used car lot. Moving again shortly too, and not sure of parking to come. What kind of company cars, ocn?

I went zoom...
Good bye Zoom. One year, 49 days later...the Mazda has found a new family and new home in PA. Awesome vehicle, I will miss almost as much as my G8, and would definitely buy another.

...my ride. After so many new vehicles in so few years, as of this morning I no longer own any vehicle. Soon enough by paper too, once Chase is paid off. Since moving to Philly and working with Acura, I've been demo driving for several months and parked the Mazda. Already miss it, but a payment when it's never used and a free new car is part of my pay didn't make sense...so away the CX-9 went to a new home in the suburbs, to a couple who specifically (and luckily for me, as it was tough) wanted FWD and nothing to do with AWD, trading a 1999 Sienna. Weird. First time since 2006 I've been car-owning-less My demo 2011 Acura TSX Tech will continue to do for a while, followed by another once I cross 5k miles in a bit. Thoroughly enjoyable smaller sedan, with the best tech and nav anywhere in the biz. What's next is anyone's guess...that GM Card bonus $2k is still laying on the counter. I pondered a cheap lease for something to put my special DE tag on, but since testing a Camaro convertible recently, I clearly have no idea what. No rush.

Philly Auto Show Passes
I will look for you (assuming you'll be there on the 4th too?). Do they have the basement area this year? On the TV and radio ads they keep saying all one floor now that they opened the new section that was being built the past 2-3 years. I'm told everything is on one floor now, with the possible exception of the Dub cars...which is fine with me. The old cars (like those of the Burn Prevention show) are out front now. Should be busy. I won't be there on the 4th, though. Lots of old cars, great show, and yes, everything is on one floor now except for the Dub thing...which I never cared about anyway. Was there all day today from 8:30 until about 4, and it was a decent show. Wish we at Acura had at least another one of our new products that will be shipping in a couple of months anyway, for people to see (new RDX), but alas. The NSX would have been great as well. May go back next weekend just to actually look around, today was too tiring to work and browse.

Proof that people are incapable of driving in snow, period
Out of the mix, when I watched this I think the worst sounds came from that lovely white Crown Victoria...silent sail...then crash, bash, and almost like transmission whine or something at the end. The Saturn ending up in a tree was priceless as well.

Hot Spots on a Cold Winter's Night
Stopped at the Chevy dealer in Smyrna, DE after my doctor's appt down the street was cancelled today. Luckily the guy I had already met back in 2010 was out again to help. Fun 2 hours. 2 lonely leftover 2011 Camaro convertibles. I drove the 1LT...cloth is pretty nice. Then tried the beige leathered 2LT and alas, yes. Spotted...lonely new 2011 Camaro convertibles (and more after these) in Delaware today. Next dealer south has black/black and yellow/black leftovers. Let's find them homes.

2012 GMC Terrain SLT-2 AWD
Do tell. Annoying? I still miss the Blind Spot sensors on my Mazda. Not 100% sure on which part of what this new GM bargain system offers.

2012 GMC Terrain SLT-2 AWD
Doesn't exist. This one has the navigation system, lane departure warning, and crash avoidance warning. Those lights take up that space. Thoughts on the lane departure, crash avoidance system? Seems like a lot of tech for only $250.

2012 GMC Terrain SLT-2 AWD
Ah, right. I've thought this. But she never opens it, so oh well. Hopefully still a great ride. Foresters can be noisy and revvy with the old 4-spd, and have been prone to rattles. Still, mechanically tough.

2012 GMC Terrain SLT-2 AWD
New question...that dash top center bin with the big hinged lid. I was used to the same on our Malibu's, unlatch & it very smoothly glided fully up & open. On the Terrain/Equinox, the same? My mother never uses it and when I tried it the last time she visited, it seemed like the hinge was broken to me...ratcheted up in notches, instead of just smoothly opening. How does it work on your tester?

2012 GMC Terrain SLT-2 AWD
Wondering. I've only have driven FWD models. That said, they do have different gear ratios, and I've read reviews saying 4-cyl AWD models for instance take off differently...so presumably so for both. Interesting, however, my brother who drives an old V8 Regal and different trucks at work said "it's like it has no torque...have to prod the pedal to get it to roll even in the driveway", vs. her past vehicles, the Camaro, etc. Partly true. Does like to rev, but that's intended.
