  1. Good luck with it. My parents have mixed experiences with ex-rentals.
  2. My Boss' six-passenger TC stretch (it's stretched like 6 feet) cost about $85K new... only validates your point even MORE. And if you remember at one point I had my '64 Super 88 four door hardtop and XP had his '74 Lincoln limo. That's the first time we talked about this kind of business idea.
  3. Sixty6-Stang: Way too many cars are destroyed by those assholes in Hollywood. I watched planet terror the other day & enjoyed it throroughly except for the fact that a '68 Razorback was destroyed! So instead of an ugly dustmte it looked like an ugly dustmite wearing air-jordans?
  4. I for oe LOVE the C-pillar on the new CTS & more so on the coupe... if only they had no B-pillar they'd be PERFECT!!!
  5. Oh, my bad Chris... I meant white car, black roof, black interiror. But yes, tripple black would be EXTRA SICK!!!
  6. Another FWD transportation pod.... The last REAL Buick was built in 1996 and had an LT1 between two FRAME RAILS. The last decent pseudo-Buick was the Park Ave Ultra.
  7. Back in 2000, almost to the day, when I was still just a kid in college I passed by a driveway with a white/black/black 1972 Monte Carlo for sale. It was $2800 o.b.o. & overall this solid and 100% roadworthy car was a great bargain. Mostly due to still living at home with my parents I passed on the deal and regret it to this day. I looked at a very rough (Florida rust, A& C pillars rotted) 1971 Monte Carlo about a week ago, I've been thinking IF I sell the B-59 or the Banana I just might go with a MC. It would HAVE to be a hardtop and therefore the 1st gen. is the only one that interests me. This car, having been built & lived its life as a 4speed makes me DROOOOOL!!!
  8. Satty thinks the only valid opinion is his own. Hence his insistance of all manner of stereotypes like: 3rd Gen. F-body = mullett sporting driver with low IQ
  9. Yup... Oldsmoboi has a fantastic idea there... me and XP have often discussed this during TIGHT WHIPS meetings.
  10. Hope springs eternal... but I'm not holding my breath. GM has kicked me in the teeth too many times with empty promises of RWD & more recently; hardtops.
  11. Any of the mods have the scoop or are we still "flying blind" on this topic? Maybe he bought that Jaguar after all and ended up in the poor-house as a result of the repair bills, or perhaos mental hospital for same basic root causes? I've got a few Jaguar hood ornaments amongst the hundreds of emblems I've collected over the years. That's all the Jaguar I need. I'd love to see my old '76 LeSabre featured in the "Project Car Chronicles". Saddly I do not even know if Fly still owns the car.
  12. wow. I can't wait to get my Renault-Nissan-Chrysler "MyBallsAreInMyWife'sPurse GT coupe" Thanks but no thanks. The only good thing is the Titan-Ram connection & maybe (just me speculating) an Infiniti-based next gen. 300C/Charger?
  13. Myself? The Communist state of TaxAchusetts. (Massachusetts for you noobs) I wish I didn't live in such an ubber-liberal locale. XP715, SpeedingPenguin, Dodgefan & his g/f Jessichan are also from Mass.
  14. LOL @ some of the posts. Truth be told my first guess would have been Nash & second would have been Studebaker.
  15. I think there's a serious Govermentarium leak at local RMV.
  16. Eh... I'd love to own either of those, esp. that clean, black '73. (local guy has a nice '73 LeMans) But as far as GTOs go it was all drastically downhill after '70. The nose on the '71 is grotesque and the elimination of the hardtop on the '73-up GMs makes me cringe with disgust. It's just not the same, I'd rather have a beat old '70 LeMans hardtop than a mint, documented '73 two door sedan with low mi. Some stereotypes are true & to me these mid-to-late '70s GMs just scream "if only I didn't have an ugly B-pillar" CHEEEEESY!!! (and trust me I feel the same way about my '77 Cadillac)
  17. Oh and I think this car is worth EVERY penny of that $4500 buy it now. I'm tempted even though I'm with Camino about the whole no FWD-stance. If I ever buy a FWD car that does not have a Lycoming straight-8 this will probably be it. Razorbacks are sucking fexy!!!!
  18. Hey XP: By "one night" do you mean the time over by my house that I have on camcorder? That car launched like a (wrong-wheel-drive) LT1 powered 9C1 after a murder suspect. I still have that tape somewhere, someday I'll dig it up. The best part was that you chose the parking lot for Lockheed(sp?) Aviation & the navy-vet. turned security guard who told us to scram was super nice about it. I think he was not at all opposed to our shenanigance but wanted to keep it out of his parking lot. Good times.
  19. Damn, I want Kenn's lawyer if I'm ever in trouble. BV: Now HERE's a GM car worthy of a cliff.
  20. Happy birthday! Thanks for giving us hardcore GM fans an outlet for our car enthusiasm & our passion for a GM renaissance.
  21. This is a great exampe of "retro" design. I LOVE this new International. A+++ (no it's not perfect but it's way better than 90% of modern commercial vehicles) Still way less awkward than the HINO, that windshield works way better. It may be ugly but it doesn't try so hard to be ugly that it gets disqualified from the ugly awards.
  22. I hear the car will be called LeMasturbation.
  23. That '29 Cadillac armored car makes me droooooooool.
  24. hahahaah! Yes it did... I meant to post that late-model Autocar. (damn sexy imho) but somehow the '41 Chebby dissapeared. Here it is for those that care:
  25. What a hodge-podge of borrowed/stolen/adapted styling cues. Very unique at first glance and yet not a single semi-original line about it. Not bad stylistically for a Chinese car, though that's not saying much.
