  1. I was going to say Armbruster is who did up the B-59 airport limo that's owned by a famous member of B-59.com.

  3. First time I read about this crazy-cool gadget was in HOT ROD about a decade ago. Like most Fords from almost ANY era these Galaxies are cool but always look like less clean, less cool and less sexy versions of GM counterparts... still this is a nice car... solid thrust differential or not. This is one way to make a twin-turbo Jap-ricer look pathetic. Coolness to the max!
  4. I'd rather have a Turbocharged Neon instead of some tin-can Toyota or Honda.
  5. I love the Banana Boat... so very glad to have it back. Still, I'm a car whore. Monogamy is soooo very hard. Currently I am considering a few cars to replace either the B-59 or the '77 CDV. Earlier today after XP gave me a heads up on a super cheap '76 Cadillac S&S Hearse with flame-thowers, flame paint job and in need of some TLC. I called very quickly (the car has been on Crainglist before) since the price had seemingly hit rock bottom. SOLD as of about 2 hrs. ago. Oh well. I've had this unsatable appetite for a REAL Pontiac, as in a classic Pontiac, something RWD, BOF & with one or more of the following: - Chrome Beak (metal twin-port grille) - Indian Head Hood Ornament - OHC I6 motor or Inline-8 motor I'll keep you posted, there's one I'm seriously considering.
  6. I have no problem with the SRT4s styling.... it's a good little FWD turbo $h!box, but if I'm going to get 13.5 MPG I'd rather have a 7.0 liter V8 in a Cadillac, not some damn 2.0 liter turbo lasagna rocket.
  7. All I can think of is Joe Pesci in CASINO... meeting Bobby DeNiro in the desert... amongst the "holes". "Usually when meeitng Nikki in my chances of leaving alive were about 95%, that day I gave myself 50/50..." (paraphrase)
  8. Wish I could say congrats.... I think the current Civic is ugly inside & out! I drove one at the dealership last summer, was NOT impressed at ALL. Today I put a sticker on my rear window (of the Banana Boat) that says YOUR HONDA IS MY CRUMPLE ZONE
  9. That f***ing ad makes my brain hurt! So meantime what's the story on this gorgeous Pontiac?
  10. Jay Leno's garage has a sign up on the wall that says: "More money than brains." But in his case it's quite the opposite, his taste is impeccable. A Lexus Prius would be something like: "Stupidity to the Seventh Power"
  11. That's just wrong. There's a fine line between absurdly funny & just plain damn inappropriate!
  12. I'll be holding my breath for the next 30 days.
  13. Did you hear Mayor Menino is dead!? Yup plane crash. (it's been exactly a decade since that prank)
  14. I wish it was April 2nd and this was for real.
  15. GM is so very determined to make sure they don't make a car I would consider worth buying it makes one wonder if and when they will stop making $h! that ALMOST doesn't compromise style/performance! There it is.... more reason for me to just keep buying old classics. Or, if I get the taste for a modern hardtop there's always a used Mercedes 300CE, 560SEC, CLK550 or what not...
  16. Well I've had great luck with Craigslist but I too have been flagged & had listings removed. One time (when selling the Bicentenial LeSabre that Fly now "owns") just for $h!s & giggles I decided to put this at the bottom of the listing tom generate more hits (just to get a few more hits ) Chevrolet Pontiac Oldsmobile Buick Cadillac LaSalle GM Caddy Chevy Olds GM Hardtop Coupe Fastback General Motors Hummer GMC Trucks Plymouth Dodge DeSoto Chrysler Imperial Mopar Ford Mercury Lincoln FoMoCo AMC Hudson Packard Cadillac V16 Duesenberg Nash Rambler Studebaker Stanley Steamer Tucker Detroit Willys Hupmobile Cleaveland Simplex Knight Overland Auburn Cord Mercedes Benz BMW VW VolksWagen Audi Porsche Mini Cooper Volvo SAAB Vauxhall Lotus Opel Holden Nissan Infiniti Datsun Mazda Mitsubishi Toyota Lexus Scion Honda Acura Kia Hyundai Suzuki Corvette Vette Camaro Z/28 Chevelle SS Monte Carlo Corvair Impala SS 265 283 302 327 350 396 402 427 454 502 572 Suburban 210 Bel Air Caprice Malibu Yenko Baldwin-Motion Nickey Cobalt Silverado C/K Blazer Tahoe Sierra Jimmy Firebird Trans Am GTO Garnd Am Bonneville Catalina Starchief Chieftan Grand Prix 442 455 Super 88 Eighty-Eight 98 Ninety-Eight Delta Brougham LeSabre Special Custom Deluxe Century Riviera Roadmaster Skylark Invicta Flattop hardtop Electra 225 Boattail Coupe Deville Sedan Fleetwood Brougham Eldorado Seville Bustleback Razorback Series 62 Presidential Cimarron 429 425 472 500 CTS STS DTS Charger Hemi Cuda Valiant 426 Challenger Coronet 300 Daytona Newport Town and Country Belvedere Fury Sport Powerwagon Mustang Galaxie Continental flathead 5-window coupe high-boy Cougar Park Lane Turnpike Cruiser Cobra Shelby AMC Gremlin Hornet Javelin AMX SX/4 Eagle Talon Vision Premier 1901 1902 1903 1904 1905 1906 1907 1908 1909 1910 1911 1912 1913 1914 1915 1916 1917 1918 1919 1920 1921 1922 1923 1924 1925 1926 1927 1928 1929 1930 1931 1932 1933 1934 1935 1936 1937 1938 1939 1940 1941 1942 1943 1944 1945 1946 1947 1948 1949 1950 1951 1952 1953 1954 1955 1956 1957 1958 1959 1960 1961 1962 1963 1964 1965 1966 1967 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 1975 1976 1977 1978 1979 1980 1981 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 1988 1989 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010
  17. No I do not have the same trans. (mechanically or technically) as some pussiefied FWD "Jeep crossover". I do however believe that the Dynaflow (twin or tripple turbine) fits the definiton of a CVT. And if you wanna get technical do you really beleive the Jeep's CVT if infinitely variable? I'd like to see it do 200-MPH @ 68 miles per gallon then!
  18. Right... I think Jeep wants their money back!!! My 1959 Buick has a CVT and it does NOT sound like: "eeeeeerererere, eeereereree eeeerererererererrrererer" That's NOT very appealing to anyone considering a wussy Compass.
  19. Harley, dude where ya been? how was 2007 for ya? Go on an African safari? or did you hike the entire Appalachian trail? Either way it's nice to see you back!
  20. Yup, that just reaffirms my claim of just how deaf I am. All my teen years blasting Pink Floyd & Metallica has caught up with me. I have hearing at the same level as a person who is as old as my Buick. (although I thought the frequency thing was not tied into hearling loss but just age)
  21. Don't underestimate the gross ineptitude of crappy Italian & British cars!
  22. Nothing wrong with a 6 cylinder G8, I'm a BIG V8 fan, the majority of my daily drivers have been V8 powered with most of the rest I6, my current daily driver has a 7.0 liter Cadillac V8 but I will say with certainty that most of the time RWD w/V6 owns FWD w/V8!
  23. Happy birthday y'all!!!! DF: Have a great day, say hi to Jess... here's your birthday present: Hollands Junkyard is having a $50 day on May 3rd. You KNOW I'll be there!!!
  24. Back in June of 2002 (just before I bought my '68 Camaro) I test drove a '92 Camaro with a 4.3 liter motor that was done up in the style of a Syclone/Typhoon and it also had chrome 18" rims front & 20"s in the rear... but they were styled like IROC-Z rims.
