  1. My mind has been a little mixed up recently. I've had some very disturbing nightmares. The movie Silent Hill, as much EVERYONE I know hates it, fascinates me because much of the imagery in it is the stuff of my nightmares. That over sized, creepy Pyramid guy & his violent actions are pretty much something my mind would conjure up. Something is up with me, I know what it is I guess, just don't know how to deal with it. Julie and I are doing great, despite the miscarriage. Things are looking up and I've been a happy camper as of late, even on Thanksgiving I was thinking how I should count my blessings. But there's this "thing" looming over my head... I feel very helpless and angry and depressed about it and since I can not turn back time I'm helpless to stop/change it. Some background: A few months ago, late August of this year, when I was still working as a Chevrolet & Cadillac salesman I got a call on a hot, humid day. I opened up my Razor cell phone in the 100* heat, my leather shoes seemed to melt into the black asphalt. My heart dropped in my chest when my dad announced that my grandmother had passed on. I remember consoling myself with internal dialogue after I got off the phone with my dad. I rememeber thinking, as I leaned into the side of a white-diamond Escalade, that she had a good, full life. Born in 1920 she had seen it all. As a little girl she used to tell us, there were still people who considered the Bicycle to be an un-holy invention, calling it a DEVIL'S WHEEL. These senior citizens of the 1920s were born in the early- to mid 1800s. My grandmother saw WWII, her husband almost killed by Russian soldiers when they stole his Mercedes-Benz truck for the "war effort", and communist cause, crippling his business, & perhaps forever his spirit. The less rude, typically polite German soldiers of WWII passed through her yard & house as well, in most cases without disturbing the civilian population. She had seen the Communist Russians again pass through a civilian population in the revolution of 1968. Using tanks and helicopters to gain submission of the masses. The disgusting hypocraqcy of communism crushing their hopes of a semi-democratic goverment. So on that day, having found out my grandmother had passed on at 87, I took a small amount of consolation in that she had a long and interesting life. I just hoped that she had died peacefully, without pain or suffering. But how WRONG I was. In the interest of sparing me of grief and emotional pain my dad had decided to not give me the whole story. The sad, cold and distrubing truth is that my 87 year old grandmother was killed violently, at the hands of some piece of $h! juvenile delinquent. She was slain in her own home, her throat cut by a 14 year old kid who had broken into her home. My aunt and cousin came to visit and found her in a pool of blood. We always joked that she would live to be a hundred like so many elderly people who keep talking about the end. To make matters worse this little piece of $h! 14 year old kid, the youngest person ever to be tried in Slovakia for murder. 14 years old and he commits a violent murder after a history of crime and a troubled past. And in the end the little $h! will be out of jail before he turns 30. They gave him 15 years. 15 years!?!?!?!?!?!? So yeah, I've had a lot of nightmares. There's nothing I can do to help my grandmother, her pain & suffering were useless and unnecessary & now it's all past-tense. I'm trying to stop the violent thoughts in my head but honestly I'd like to go Dexter on this little piece of $h!. The other day I watched the movie 300 and all I could think of was that this scumbag is still alive, and not only will he not get the death penalty but in 15 years he'll be out in society, possibly to kill again. That's it I guess.... feels somewhat better to get it all out but like I said, I need to get some closure, my parents attended the funeral but I could not. I need to somehow get over this, to move on, think healty thoughts etc. The other day downloaded a violent video of some terrorists beheading an innocent hostage and watched it, the morbid images making me feel even more depressed and hollow, all whie picturing that little filthy murderer in the victim's place. Anyone here ever been through something simillar?
  2. LOL I blame FWD, not crazy old people... that '72 Nova would tow the 35 foot trailer with torque to spare.
  3. I love the Pontiac TailG8 idea! My suggestions: Pontiac Caballus (Latin for Horse) Ponitac Equus (also Latin for Horse) Pontiac Hauler Pontiac Blitz (German for Lightning, as in Ford ) Pontiac Kargo Pontiac Torreon (as in Mexico)
  4. BV: With all due respect you sir are an blockhead. You bitch and moan when people tell you that you come off as an idiot but yet you volunteer info all the time that proves that you constantly dodge personal responsibility and blame everyone/thing but yourself for the problems YOU create. So now you're blaming your CAR for a flat tire that you got as a result of driving through the woods with it and f***ig off? C'mon dude, I've done stupid things a million times in my cars but I do not go blaming a car for a flat tire. That's assenine. You need to grow up.... if you're hurting financially do NOT go beating up your car & risking extra, unneccessary repairs. And if you DO, don't blame a car for GIVING ITSELF a flat tire. Get real. XP715 & SP will find this funny because we know a guy who put two new tires on the FRONT of a RWD car for the winter. Same dope who, a year later, said he sold his 1989 Grand Prix Turbo because it sucked in the snow.... probbably installed a pair of blizzaks on the rear end that time....
  5. Cool. The T-bird should have been replaced by Firebird or a Catalina.
  6. Screw those fugly Hondas... buy the real deal, a UK built Mini.
  7. Yup... that's a big one. A TRUE enthusiast opens his hood just to stare @ his motor and tinker, not just once a month to check his oil & refill the windshield washer fluid.
  8. I love the way the greenhouse looks like it has a scorpion tail ready to sting an unsuspecting Ferrari. I too owned all the models, starting with the HotWheels that looked absolutely awsome. I spent a lot of time straing at it to distract myself from my math homework.
  9. There was a couple years there around 1990 when I was convinced the '89 Banshee concept was the coolest cars in the world. It made the Ferrari F40 look like a Geo Storm GSi, it made the Lamborghini Diablo look unrefined and bland... that nose, those wheelwells, the profile, the floating spoiler and those out of this world wheels were like something from the distant future. If Pontiac had produced thkis as the 2nd gen. Fiero with LT1 power it would have set the world on fire.
  10. 535 all the way, Screw the ugly Z4. RWD - check!' awsome styling - check! inline six - check! 2 Turbos - check!
  11. The original Mini Cooper! Allstate/Henry J...
  12. Cool. Viva La Zeta. Wow... you're quite the optimist.
  13. Yeah, I'd like to buy a mint 1969 Camaro COPO-ZL1 for $1500 but it's just not in the cards now is it?
  14. Cool. I've yet to own a 4th gen. Firebird. Not for lack of interest though.
  15. Take that 240Z. These Banshee concepts are awsome. It's worth a million + all day long.
  16. Yeaaaaaaaahhhh. Mmmmmkay..... (backs away from tread slowly)
  17. Hey hey!!! That's not wasted space, that's room to work on your car. Back in the day before we all turned into a bunch of pink panty wearing pu$$ies we still did our own maintenance & repairs on our cars, unlike today's typical American who likes to pretend that his Corolla is a well built product even though he's never opened the hood himself.
  18. Awsome. I for one am happy to hear that. Yup, sounds very beleivable. Uhhh... the PCV valve was on too tight. the last oil change was done on a Friday the 13th aaaaaand it has Firestone tires or maybe the blinker fluid was low...
  19. You're crazy Cort.... but power to ya. I'm jelaous.
  20. That's why the Dodge Challeger and Land Rover Discovery crashed.... they were not based off o sturdy Suburban chassis.
  21. Gobble-gobble, happy Turkey Day. Julie is making a turkey, along with all the side dishes AND a spiral ham! I'm going to be pretty bitchy later when my stomach is ready to split.

    CRASH!

WTF!? What if someone had been home, (downstairs)? That's a pretty serious offense, discharging a firearm into someone's house? I'm a HUGE 2-nd amendment proponent but stuff like this should come with a stiff penalty. Not that a brick thrown at a glass door or person is harmless but discharging a firearm into a occupied house? That should be at least a 1-6 month jail sentance. Sorry to hear about this O.B.

    A Mini SAV?

I like it too... if executed correctly it would be ery cool.

    BMW resale

Yup... it's been a long time coming but a BMW is most certainly in my future. A late '80s 3-series, inline-6, 5-speed perhaps?
  25. Is there something in the water over there?
