I just bought a Megellan on sale two weeks ago for $150. I'm happy with it... price considered. My excuse for buying it is to get more proficient at my delivery at the Chinese Restaurant...

As stupid as she was her dress & speech were quite professional. African in race, slight accent, early 30s, chip on her shoulder.

Would you drive cars made in North Korea?

Not in a million years..... -
Yeah it sucks. Of course it was 100% my fault I bumped her but what's the point of trying to B.S. something like this... I mean the cop even said to her "did you get pushed into another car with your trucks front fender & bumper when (the Datsun) bumped you?" (trying to somehow be logical about her assertion) She said "NO, he hit me in the rear only, but it must have been hard enough to make my front wheels and bumper out of whack... I did not hit anything with the front of my truck" I'll post photos when I have a chance to download them.

Looking good, agressive! ...but I too would have liked a bit more change, this is very subtle.

The nicest 79-85 Buick Riviera I have ever seen for sale
Sixty8panther replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Buick
Yes it is, this is a gorgeous Riviera. A TRUE Riviera, not some compact sized thing with a sideways motor. -
I've been super busy so I have not had a chance to report on my experience with the curse... On a cold, icy road the other day, going downhill in the freezing rain and slowing down to a stop at a red light the X-Terra in front of me stopped very abruptly. I was about two car length's behind the truck in my Datsun & as I slid to a stop on a sheet of ice I bumped the X-Earth's trailer hitch with my little Maxima's headlight/blinker & cut the top of the matte black bumper cover. I was pissed at myself, first off I was on the clock so I HAD to get to a delivery, and second despite absolutely no damage to her cast iron trailer hitch my Datsun had a dented headlight surround, a cut in the rubber bumper cover & the orange cornering lamp broke off it's location, one of the plastic tabs was damaged. But here's the kicker.... the woman with the X-Terra is insisting that I somehow misaligned her FRONT fender & bumper cover. I called the cops, one finally arrived & documented the complete lack of damage to her truck and trailerhitch and laughed at her insistance that I somehow managed to cause the damage to the front of her truck. I took photos of EVERYTHING, there was obvious damage to her front fender, the front bumpercover was misaligned by half an inch or so & it was rubbing up against the tire when she cut the wheel all the way to the left. Still I dis not even scratch her trailer hitch, my glass headlight did not even break but this broad is trying to say I pushed the back of her truck bad enough to cause sideswipe damage to the opposite, front corner. So yeah, I'm agrevated but at least the damage was slight and my Datsun took one for the team, better that car than the Mercedes or, god forbid, the Buick. Needless to say the next day my snow tires went on the ass end & the newer rear set of all seasons went on the front of the car.

Here in Massachusetts I know all too well the sight of a sea of crappy imports. Hondas & Toyotas litter the highways here like bird$h! under powerlines.

Even for a minivan it is goofy looking. Kind of reminds me of a cowfish. lol, sad but true. -

A very rare case of a post-WWII FWD car that does not suck all that much... I'd love to see it parked next to a Bustleback V8-6-4. -
Balthazar: Maybe they should put some of those slime green, violet & fuschia splash decals on the doors... you know to complete the look. Good one.

Best of luck, hope you have it resolved.

One of these poor Turbo-Rivieras... (an '83 iirc) turned up complete in a local junkyard and ended up donating some generic GM interior pieces to my Fleetwood Brougham. Still have the Riviera emblem from the dash complete with the Turbocharged(6) logo. -
When you get it invite Fatty & Smelma to watch with you...

Cool dream, the plane is called an X-29, developed jointly by NASA & the USAF... iirc

Yup... very unoriginal. Makes sense really... Hyundai is where Datsun & Toyota were in the 1970s... and back then the most original design they had was the Toyota 2000GT and the Datsun 240Z, both borrowing 90% of their styling from the Corvette & Jaguar E-type! Sad to see how much Lexus is in the headlights. It's still nice to see more RWD. Down with FWD, RWD to the people!!!

Lutz denies Pontiac not getting Alpha platform

They're a magazine, not God... back in the day they reported the Corvette would be ME-AWD and they also blew the covers off the 1966 Chevrolet Panther but in the end we all know the name got changed to Camaro & the car did not hit the streets until MY 1967. -
Pictures of the Camaro my wife bought

LOL @ the sausagefest... The Camaro is awsome, if I was in the market for a late-model musclecar I'd be writing you a check right NOW! -
As I've mentioned before I used to see the Mass State Police GNX around my neck of the woods all the time. ON one occasion, as a kid before I even KNEW what it was, it was chasing after a DeTomasso Pantera that blew by my dad's Chevy Cavalier at about 100-120 mph. Buick is such a cool brand, if there was ever one brand that I'd want to collect in large numbers it would be a tough call between Cadillac & Buick. Another funny note is how in a magazine article they showed David Spade in his GN at some hangout spot in California and they mentioned how he is such a down ot earth guy, even his ride is very unpretentious... just some old Buick. That's what most GN owners love to hear... "Some jackass blew the doors off my Porsche in some OLD BUICK!"

Sorry to hear about all this, what a mess... I CAN relate somewhat through. I had a FANTASTIC experience in Catholic school, LOVED it, I had a healthy amount of friends, EVERYONE knew me by my first and last name, people were respectful & courteous, on the rare occasion they when they were not it was resolved amongst the kids who all had good hard working parents, a mix of mostly blue collar and some white collar people. To this day I speak fondly of my experiences in Catholic school. I'm no longer religious but my education in Catholic school was an absolute A+ in every sense from the quality of my learning to my social life. Then in 1991 my parents moved to a rich town... Andover, MA as they could not afford Catholic school any longer, the next few years of my education were a nightmare. I mean REALLY, a NIGHTMARE. There were days I wanted to either kill a few of those fitlthy snobs with a shotgun, or on even worse days, I even became suicidal, which is NOT AT ALL LIKE ME!!! This in why I hate snobs, they are some of the worst people on earth in terms of quality of character. (sorry to generalize but I speak from experience) Years before Columbine we had THREE incidents of guns in my High School. First in 1993 a starter pistol was found on a student, then an actual gun and in 1995 or was it 1996, a dissembled sniper rifle was found on a student! And you know what, I do not condone killing but I ABSOLUTELY understand why so many of us nerds/poor kids/introverts had evil thoughts about the assholes of the shcool. Here's just ONE example: I'm sitting on a deep window sill at school on a cold winter day, reading a book, a little piece of $h! punk comes up to me and before I even know what is going on he pulls me by my collar, off the window sill, FACE first. I landed on the linoleum in the cafeteria with my CHEEK bone. It honestly felt like my entire face shattered. It hurt so bad I had trouble keeping my balance. In the end the assistant principle chalked it up to a prank gone wrong, an accident, the kid got less punishment than if he had cheated on a test. In the end, you know what helped? I took Karate for a while.... Shaolin Kempo. Only made it to orange belt but my confidence & self esteem went up drastically.

Youth is bliss, enjoy it. I'd give my right testicle to be 19 again. There's a few choices I'd do over.

Hot, subtle, bold and very Cadillac like. (good continuation of A&S) As far as the mesh grille, as they said it helps to feed oxygen to the car's engine, radiator & intercooler but the best thing about it is how it pays homage to the V-16 Grand Touring cars that bitch-slapped the entire luxury car world back in the 1930s.

If Pontiac or Buick get deep sixed I'm done with GM. They are sooooooo stupid sometimes.

The real world fuel economy of a Hummer H1 is like 5-6 not 10-12. You were probably just exagerating for effect, but I thought I'd throw that out there. Also, to TRIPPLE 10 and therefore get 30MPG real world you better get a CRX or a Tercel and not f*** with any perf. mods. or add any junk to them.

The Mustang just does not fit KITT's personality. Plain & Simple. Even a Shelby Stang is still a Mustang, the Trans Am was a much better, more sophisticated car, always was. A Vette Z06, Holden GTO, CTS-V or even an XLR would be more fitting.
