  1. The best truck I've ever owned was the only non-CK based truck I ever had. 1991 Blazer 2dr 4x4, 5-speed 4.3 V6. I beat the $HIT out of it for about a year and it just kept asking for more. Bought it for $600 with 104K miles and sold it for $1000 with 128K miles about 15 months later only to buy a lemon of a Suburban. The Suburban probably would have been a better truck had someone not screwed up the transmission. Still the Suburban had a 1/4 million miles on it.
  2. Even the Lincoln is quite gorgeous...... as compared to those 21st century offerings from Ford, esp. the super lame & way overpriced Grosse-Front-Overhang FWD MKZits or whatever its called this month.
  3. They're robbign the craddle with that Fisher-Price interior & exterior plastic. The only bonding that goes on around an FJ Cruiser starts off with: "Oh, damn YOUR body has tears in it too????"
  4. That's hillarious. The "button"
  5. Scare Mask (the Scream) meets G37& Hyundai Tiburon.
  6. Chevrolet: Silverado 3500... Doolie, Duramax Diesel, Crew Cab LTZ Buick: a loaded Enclave Pontiac: G8 GXP, 6-speed manual GMC: Kodiak 4500 duramax diesel rollback truck with aluminum body Cadillac: Escalade EXT, white diamond Hummer: H2 pickup Saturn: Sky Redline, manual SAAB: 9\7x Holden: Statesman Opel: European Spec. Corvette Vauxhall: VXR8 (you can never have too many Zetas)
  7. 1982 Buick Regal coupe? 1973 Chevy Monte Carlo? 1980 Mercury Zephyr? 1975 Pontiac Grand Prix? 1978 Dodge Magnum?
  8. Z/28: You guys remember my stories of brake jobs, water pump replacement snafus & all the crap I replaced/rebuilt/repaired in my Camaro. I replaced quite a few large items over the years. The TH350 transmission, a rear end, fuel pumps of both in tank & mechanical variety, I don't pay for someone else to work on my car unless the job is too complicated to be in a Haynes/Chilltons manual. ...and yes that basic plan has been in the back of my head for a while.
  9. 1. She looks like Michael Jackson but her outfit was not that bad... 2. That airline needs to pay more attention to the imprtant stuff instead of PMS-ing over a mini-skirt. 3. That clip of the air-show disaster in Poland was way more interesting/relevat.
  10. I spend a lot of time joking around with Chevy/GMC customers at work who have test driven the Tundra and mostly we agree it's a joke. I know a guy who until recently sold Toyotas new and said 90% of his customers who test drove threw him back the keys and it said: "Thanks, now I'm going to buy the Ford Chevy/GMC/"
  11. Honda Element a long lasting product? Well at least plastic can't rust.
  12. When I was a kid my dad's friend saidf to me once: "You know how to tell a good, sturdy vehicle appart from the junk?" And her promptly slammed the door shut on his Mercedes. Thin sheet metal and plastic-ladden chassis turn me off BIG time. So I agreee esp. with your #4 observation.
  13. How does someone type L4 1.2 liter when they really mean V6 DI 3.6? It's not like they wrote 3.6 DU or V6 3.5 or somethign else that's half-way even close.
  14. Too bad Audis look like angry sewer grates these days!
  15. There's angry chipmunks everywhere. These cars are so hideously disproportioned. They look very goofy in real life, our Mitsu dealer is pushing them like hotcakes & they are selling pretty well I guess, which only proves how crappy a Japanese car can be & still sell despite a better American product.
  16. Certified Pre-Owned CTS, if you are happy with the red/black 04 then GO FOR IT.... Do NOT spend more money just to spend more money, that's retarded!
  17. Two words: 1. Union 2. Benefits Did that already too... that's how I got to drive all those luxury cars & high end exotics like the Mercedes SL600s Anniversary Edition, Porsche 911 cabrios, a ton of lame assed "Lexus" branded Toyotas & the oh-so unimpressive Honda S2000. The car bizz in general is not condusive for a family life.
  18. I have a love/hate relationship with the car sales business. Always have. Still recent events make me seriously doubt I want to stay at my job for longer than absolutely neccessary. As cool as it is to deal hands on with brand new Cadillacs & Chevrolets the car biz can be so unrewarding. 55-70 hrs a week & for WHAT? The money is not there like it used to be. Not sure but I might be moving on soon. Too bad really, when I started working at this dealer 2 months ago I had every intention of staying for at least one year, possibly two.
  19. I saw a Zap Xebra display at the NY-NAIAS two and a half years ago. I was NOT impressed. It's was quite horrific. The fit & finish on these things was "dollar store sunglasses" at best.
  20. That would be AWSOME! Julie is a big fan of BMW but likes plenty of domestics. I think a Diesel Benz may be in our future, we'll see.
  21. Agreed. It will not be the only one there, plesnty of Czechs & Slovakias own imported W-bodys. There's even a Navigator and Corvette ZR1 that I know about in Slovakia.
  22. MacMulkin in Nashua, NH.
  23. KnightFan: Yes, asd to say you have a very valid point!
  24. Holy cow dude, first and foremost good luck with your health. Seriously! Now as far as NASCAR & Toyota... well mostly I agree with you. Toyota is a despicable corporationj and I go out of my way to educate people aboutn it!
