Great Camaro thread with Fbodfather question
With all the bitching on this forum about how expensive tooling would be for a true pillarless hardtop I'm surprised seven people did not jump down your throat about how retractible (convertible) hardtops are for high-end luxury cars like the Cadillac XRL not for the Camaro. I do not care about a retractible hardtop, they're heavy & to me they seem pretty useless on a sports car, it's more pf a luxury car item. That beig said I have no reason to sy they should NOT make one. Why not? Once again the tooling for the side windows, regulators & such would be shared with the ragtop & hardtop.

Great Camaro thread with Fbodfather question
COPO or ZL1 is what gets my vote.... plus a stripped out SCCA style variant that retains it's street legal status but is basically a modern version of the original Plymouth Road Runner.

Linvilla show '07 PICS
AWSOME pics... would have LOVED to be there. The Stanley Steamer & '35 Cadillac V8 roadster are my two favorites!

I'm heading to Wilmington in the morning...
Love seeing that V8 nestled in between those frame rails. Either way, 4 or 8 cylinder Kappas all rule. RWD for the masses. As far as that welding job, Crazy Stuff Capriceman... Also, Balthazar had the right idea, any high nickel content blocks hanging around?

Identify this oddball engine
Cool, that's a pretty rare beast. I hope you keep it. I love oddball stuff like that. Now as far as that flathead powered Nissan 240SX that's funny stuff. I used to joke around about putting a Chevy 250 inline six in my Datsun Maxima instead of the 2.4 liter Inline-6.

''BIG RED'' on My Cadillac Story .com
Thanks dude.... So now I have had a letter published in Road & Track as well as Sport Compact Car, Photos published in Car & Driver, Autoweek and '68 Camaro Burnout photos published in Car Craft, I've won the 2nd place amateur category in Motor Trends' 2000 design contest and all kinds of other crap, but this is about as cool as it gets right there. My name on the Cadillac website.

Pentastar's BACK!
Yes turbo-4 Mopars are fast little suckers.... NO they did NOT get great fuel economy. Even the modern SRT4 gets about 13mpg in the real world driven by a car guy... even less if it has the stage II injectors and all that crap.

You sir have the sickness... if you think that a 2dr convertible with a 8.2 liter motor is lacking cubic inches!!! Make your Eldo RWD while you're at it.

Are car dealerships a thing of the Past?
GM's dealer network serously needs to be revamped.

Is GM missing the boat?
It's not about the fact that the diesel fuel is cheaper... it's that you use a lot less!

Chevrolet through the decades...
Pre-Chevrolet Motors-Name Thee Companies whose cars the Chevrolet Bros. Raced before starting Chevrolet Buick Cadillac Oldsmobile The teens-Chevrolet produced this innovation in 1917...well over a decade before Ford before abandoning it for several more decades. Hint-Chevrolet paced the Indy 500 the year this innovation came back out, and the pace car used this. (Chevrolet was not the first car company to build this, BTW) V8, but it was not a sigle cast block (monoblock) The twenties-This Massachusets company built "woody" bodies for 1920's Chevrolet Station wagons. Waltham The thirties-A tough one-what Chevrolet Model is the lowest regular production car model of the 1930's (specific Chevrolet pass. car model). Hint-Chevrolet built fewer of these than they did Corvette prototypes in 1983. I was going to say Confederates.... but that aint right The thirties again-Chevrolet produced the last roadster type (no roll up side window) convertible when and where? (at least the last roadster until the 1953 Corvette) no idea... you got my attetion though The 40's-Speaking of convertibles-Chevrolet resumed Convertible production (after halting it) what two years in the 1940's? 46 47 The 1950's-First year for two door and foor door pillarless hardtops? 1951/1955 The 1950's again-Tri-power was first offered what year and on what motor as a regular production option for a regular passenger car? 58 impala The 1960's-On what car model line was the "Yenko Stinger" built? Corvair The 1960's Again-What was the last year one could buy a 2 door V-8 RWD station wagon? 1966 based on the midsize Chevelle The 1960's Again-First year for 4 wheel disc brakes and the Big Block v-8 on the Corvette? 1967 The 1960's Again-What was the last year for the 409 Motor in a regular production passenger car? 1963 The 1960's again-I was Born on September 12, 1965. On or about my first Birthday General Motors thought I was so cool that they brought out this car...(Major G.M. car) Chevelle Malibu The 1970's-The 1973 Corvette is a unique body style for waht reason? no split window... but split BUMPER The 1980's-In 1983-Chevrolet brought out this car (which sold rather well) as a special edition of a regular production automobile in part because they needed the aerocynamic advantadge in Nascar? Monte Carlo Aerocoupe The 1980's again-This was the last year for RWD on the Monte Carlo? 1988 The 1990's-Chevrolet brought back this name for a special Blue and white Corvette (with a red stripe on the front fender). This name was used in the early/mid 1960's for a series of special racing Corvettes. GRAND SPORT Current-The C-6- Corvette shares this feature with the Scion T.C. but no other Corvettes since 1962. What is this "feature"? scion tc has nothing to do with it.... that is a insult. FIXED headlights

Identify this oddball engine
I was going to guess that the OHV side of the motor is nothing but a giant air pump that runs the blower... but I guess I was way off. I love stuff like this, that is one super cool idea. Kudos for creativity.

Is GM missing the boat?
YES! I want a 7-speed manual, pillarless hardtop, Solid rear axle 5th gen. Camaro powered by a Duramax-Diesel twin-turbo V16 That way I can get almost 13mpg in the coolest car of the 21st century.

The 572 is the latest evolution of the SUPER-big-block GM crate motor. It's basically a 454 on steriods!

New Camaro Questions
While I STRONGLY prefer a V8 over a V6 at this point in my life I'd rather take a V6 powered Hardtop over a V8 powered post... so long as the V6/HT car is still a manual trans.
