  1. Do it. That's a real Oldsmobile. I love baby-blue GM boats...
  2. A Daimler Ragtop with a HEMI? Kewl.
  3. Fu*k... that's what I need to buy for a fuel economy champ. an early 80s Chevette, perhaps I can find a M22 4-speed equiped diesel, and I'd onnly ever need metric tools to work on the little sucker.
  4. I usually buy cars which are within driving distance.... but to me driving distance means pretty much anywhere in New England. My Super 88 was about 40 miles away... my '59 Buick & '86 Cadillac were about 100 miles away while the flattop Electra B-59 that I was looking at in Maine last year was about 130 miles away from me.
  5. Funny Stuff.
  6. O.B. Really? I would not take any VW GTi ever made over a Corvair Monza.
  7. Okay... two weeks to go. I am getting radials instaled on the B-59 today. It's full steam ahead, there's a 0% chance of taking the Banana Boat since that's XP's daily driver now... I have the seller's remorse. So at this point either I take the B-59 or not go at all. Taking the '76 I installed a rebuilt H20 pump on my B-59's 364 this past weekend & so far all is well mechanically. There's even a small chance that I may take along Julie. My friend Tall Paul (who's tight whip is a 455-powered 1973 Olds Ninety Eight 2dr hardtop) might be coming along as well as Robin, that nutcase we call "Waldo" with a penchant for strippers & alcohol. Now it's just a matter of time before my B-59 is on its way to Oklahoma.

  11. For me power is not lacking today so bad as quality, styling, craftsmenship, attentiom to detail, materials & originality. FWD & lack of manual trans. play into these complaints for me. Cars that "lack" power: Ford Crown Victoria BMW 3-series 4-cylinder Cadillac CTS Infiniti G35 coupe Cars I'd like if they were RWD: Cadillac DTS Buick Lucerne Dodge Avenger Chevy Impala 5.3 Lincoln MKX (love the styling of this little bugger) Pontiac G6
  12. Bikes are not my thing but it's always nice to get a project going.

  14. CR will never be worth the price of the toilet paper it's printed on.
  15. Stay the hell away... that's my suggestion. These cars are money pits.
  16. Random product placement.
  17. I watched about 25 seconds of that before I had enough.... moron.
  18. I think this horrible chop still looks better than a regular Fusion.

  20. Cool, buy it. Not a bad little car for the money. Just like O.B. said: this is a perfect case of an American car that ANYONE can work on.

  23. Wow... I guess I've opened up quite a can of worms here. For the record Marcia and I have been fighting a lot less as of the past few days while Julie & I are doing great. Having her by my side (or just a text message away) has made all the differace. It's both the end of the road and the start of a new jouorney at the same time.
  24. I payed less than $1300. Or... about 1/3 of the amount of money than my insurance costs on the B-59 per year.
